Chapter 311: Is he talking about himself?

While Lu Chen's classmates played volleyball, Lu Chen and Feng Meifeng sat on the sideline. The two didn't say anything, just sitting there watching the beautiful shore. 

It didn't last long. Feng Meifeng asks him, "Lu Chen, did something happen?" The moment Lu Chen and Zhang Jian arrived, she knew something was wrong. 

Yesterday, Lu Chen was a lot more lively. But now, he looks stiffer than usual. Feng Meifeng decides to stay with him, trying to figure out what happened. 

Lu Chen turns to her, "How did you know?" He didn't realize she would notice.

Feng Meifeng scoffs, "You're easy to read when you're angry or sad. It's all on your face." Usually, it would be difficult to know what Lu Chen was thinking. 

But it's different when he's angry. It's really apparent when Lu Chen is angry. Even a child could see it too. 

"...It's nothing." Lu Chen didn't want to tell anybody what happened. Especially to Feng Meifeng. Ye Meixiu had pushed him down and straddled onto him? Even as Lu Chen thinks about this, it sounds unreal. Who would believe it? 

More so, what if Feng Meifeng believes it? Lu Chen didn't want to see that happening. 

"Alright, I won't ask anymore. But sometimes saying it would help you." Feng Meifeng doesn't say anything as she continues to look at the view. She wasn't going to pry it out of Lu Chen. 

"..." Lu Chen sat there in silence as well. But then he starts to open up,

"...Let's say, for example, that one of your close friends who you thought of as just a friend for a long time thinks of you as something different. Like the person thinks of you as a love interest. What would you do?" Instead of telling Feng Meifeng the truth, Lu Chen gave her a hypothetical. 

Lu Chen has always seen Ye Meixiu as a cute little sister. But yesterday, he realized something different. Something much more. 

'Somebody that thought of you as a friend thinks of you as a love interest?' Feng Meifeng thought about it. But then she realizes something,

'Is he talking about himself?' Feng Meifeng thought Lu Chen was going to confess to her indirectly! The hypothetical he just said was so similar to their situation. 

Feng Meifeng felt that her relationship with Lu Chen was getting closer and closer together. Thinking about it now, it seems like the case. 

With Lu Chen saving her from Lai Dingxiang, Feng Meifeng's heart starts to race. She didn't know what to say to Lu Chen. 

"Feng Meifeng?" Lu Chen called out to her, as she was silent for a good few minutes. Feng Meifeng snaps out of her thoughts and flaps her hands around, 

"Ahh, sorry. But about your problem, you should do whatever you feel is right. If the person who confessed to you sees you as a man, don't you think the person could take the rejection as well?" If somebody confesses to another person, they should have some preparation for rejection too. 

Feng Meifeng kept her feelings in check and told Lu Chen that. No matter what the confessor said, they have to understand the confessed feelings. 

'Do whatever I feel is right?' Lu Chen knew that he could reject it, but he was still in turmoil. He doesn't know what to do because the person is Ye Meixiu! 

If he rejects her, he doesn't know what to think. Lu Chen continues to mull over it. However, Feng Meifeng grabs his hand, 

"C'mon, let's go and have some fun. It'll help clear your mind." Feng Meifeng knew that Lu Chen was going to mull about it for a long time. She wasn't going to let them happen.

"I don't think-" "We only have until tomorrow to stay here. Let's go and have some fun." Feng Meifeng drags him over to their classmate. 

Their classmate turns to them. One jokes, "So you two lovebirds finally come out to play?" Even while they're playing, they took a couple of glances at Lu Chen and Feng Meifeng.  

They could see how lovingly the two are. 

"Mmmhmm." "Yeah."

"Alright, the two of you are going to be on separate teams." They weren't going to have the two of them act like love birds while they play.

"Fine."
