And both options were bad for him. It was either leaving the venue or calling himself stupid for not figuring out the jade was fake. Both were a smear to his reputation. In the end, Long Shen decided on the latter,

Lu Chen smiled, "No problem. You just made a mistake. That's all." Lu Chen continued to rub it in. But then he sighed, "I guess it's time to take my leave."

"Hmm? Xiao Chen, are you going back home?" Zhang Wenling asked. Lu Chen shook his head as he brought Song Yanmei closer to him,

"I'm going on a date." Lu Chen was mischievous as he asked Song Yanmei, "Did you forget our promise?"

"..." Song Yanmei nodded weakly. She thought Lu Chen would forget about it!

"Well, then. Time for our date. I'm out; please be safe." Lu Chen didn't think about it as he walked out of the building with Song Yanmei in his hand.
