"Are you sure you only want this?" Lu Chen asked. The two left the store. In Kong Qingzhu's hand were a couple of bags.

Kong Qingzhu shook her head, "This is more than enough. I think I brought too much!" She was surprised by the number even now. And she could only think about the cost right now.

"Are you sure I can buy this much?" She was still hesitant. Lu Chen didn't let her leave until she got at least 8 pieces. She didn't know the price as Lu Chen swiped his card before she could see it.

"It's fine. You don't have to worry so much about cash." After all, I'm using the guy's money. With how much he took from Wen Peng, there was no need for Kong Qingzhu to fret.

"Mr.Lu, I can't thank you enough for everything you bought for me."

"You think this is it?"

Kong Qingzhu's blinked her eyes, and Lu Chen laughed, "Clothing isn't the only thing you need." With that, Lu Chen brought Kong Qingzhu over to some other stores that were around. He wanted to buy her all the essentials.

"..." Kong Qingzhu had no words to say. After going through two other stores, her hands were stacked with bags.

"You don't have to worry about anything. If you want to repay me, work hard when you come to ARCS." Lu Chen smiled.

"Understood!" Kong Qingzhu nodded. As they walked towards the car,

"That's too much!"

"See you later." Lu Chen didn't say anything else as he drove off.

Why did I ask her that? Lu Chen questioned himself. He didn't understand now that he thought about it. Why did he ask Kong Qingzhu to watch over Feng Meifeng?
