"That damn old geezer." Lu Chen cursed. His expression contorted as he remembered what had happened. What was Elder Bai thinking when he paired me with her! He was trying to mess with him.

"Bai Geming seemed to want to get closer to you." Elder Wu voiced out the thought Lu Chen didn't want to say. Bai Xiaoqing was the other representative; it was easy to understand Bai Geming's intentions.

But this is a surprise. Elder Wu was surprised Bai Geming would be so straightforward with his intentions.

Lu Chen sighed, "I guess. But that guy is doing it to piss me off more." He could imagine it now. Bai Geming was probably laughing at how he had acted before.

But it's worth it. Lu Chen knew losing a bit of his sanity was enough to save his family. After finishing the negotiations, the expression on Lu Xiaotong was bright. He was so happy with the new contract.

"Shuchun?"

"Yes, Young Master?" Kang Shuchun looked at Lu Chen. Her expression changed to a bright one.

"Because I have to work on the project with the Bai family, I will have to leave most of our project to you." Lu Chen had a wry smile as he said this. If he had to help with the project, more work would fall on others in ARCS.

Kang Shuchun shook her head, "Don't worry, Young Master. I will get it done to the utmost perfection!"

"Thank you. And don't worry, Duan Huiling will be there to help as well." Lu Chen smiled. He felt a lot better. With Duan Huiling and Kang Shuchun working together, it brought him relief.
