Chapter 72: Eloping

Liu Fei Fei shook her head as a sad smile begins to form on her face, "You know I can't right now with the engagement between Lu Chen and me. And my parents don't even know about Shen yet either."

She hasn't been able to tell her parents about dating Long Shen due to fear. Fear that the moment she says it, they might ask the two to break up. 

Luo Ai also knew about the problem the couple has. The difference in status had always been the cause of the two not going any further in their relationship. She tries to cheer Liu Fei Fei up by suggesting, “Hey, worst-case scenario, you can just elope with him.” 

Eloping is the best way for Long Shen and Liu Fei Fei to live happily together. However, Luo Ai said it as a joke. If the two actually, eloped could they even survive? Long Shen could definitely live in the world by working a regular job. Liu Fei Fei, on the other hand, is treated as a princess from birth. Her parents provide all of the things she wanted from birth. So how could she face the hardships like every other person? 

Luo Ai knew that Liu Fei Fei is smart enough to understand what she said is to lighten the mood. However, when Luo Ai saw the glittering light coming from her eyes, the warning bells in her head went off.

Who knew that Liu Fei Fei considers Luo Ai’s suggestion, “Luo AI, you an absolute genius.” Liu Fei Fei’s only thought is to stay with Long Shen forever, so eloping is something she had thought about doing. Hearing how her best friend suggested it as well, Liu Fei Fei wanted to do it now.

I was joking! Luo Ai didn’t expect that her best friend wasn’t sensible enough to realize the problem. Love really does make a person blind. For the entire class period, Luo Ai tries to stop her best friend from going through eloping.

While that is happening, in Long Shen’s classroom,

Ah-choo” Long Shen sneezed and felt a shiver from his spine.

Lu Chen was about to ask Zhang Jian where they want to eat,

“Brother Chen.” Before he could ask Zhang Jian, a soft and mellow voice calls out to him from the door. 

Lu Chen turns to see it was Ye Meixiu, who hides behind the door, “ Xiao Xiu, why are you here?”

Ye Meixiu smiles and walks up to him and asks, “Do you want to have lunch together?” 

“You treating?” Lu Chen teases.

“Mmhmm, I want to thank you for taking me home yesterday.” She smiles as she thought that Lu Chen wasn’t joking.

“I was joking, dummy.” Lu Chen smiles at how naive she is and begins to pat her head. He then said, “ As your older brother, I’m treating.”

“But.” Ye Meixiu felt conflicted. She wants to thank him for yesterday’s incident with Gao Jinhai by treating him to Lu Chen.

Well, being treated by brother Chen to Lu Chen doesn’t seem so bad either. 

“Come on, let’s go.” Before she could finish thinking of what to do, Lu Chen grabs her hand and walks out of the classroom.

As the two of them left the room, they didn’t seem to care or notice that the whole classroom’s brain malfunctions from what they had just witnessed.

Ye Meixiu, the angel, just came over to Lu Chen to ask him out for a meal. And then Lu Chen pats her head and looks at her lovingly like a couple. Then the two walk out while holding her hands.

The class had heard the rumors that the two of them were dating, but it was a far-fetched rumor. But seeing how they acted right before their eyes, it might not be just a rumor.

Zhang Jian knew that Lu Chen was about to invite him out to lunch was now had his mouth open from how flabbergasted he was. One of the most beautiful girls in the school had asked out his best friend to have lunch with her. That alone was just enough to make his head hurt, and with how intimate their actions were, it was mind-blowing.
