A day at Hogwarts

Chapter 458 Playing Big

Charles wanted to talk to the old man about Voldemort, but he didn't expect that the old man would come to Dumbledore's office the next day.

The grandfather and grandson hadn't met since the Quidditch World Cup. Charles didn't expect that the old man would play a big game this time.

"You want to make "Titanic"?" Charles was scared. Even if he said that he would hold a wedding next month, it wouldn't give people such a big shock.

Jack said seriously: "Two billion dollars in box office, haven't you been planning it?"

Charles was speechless and immediately thought of the key problem: "You want to use magic for special effects?!"

He remembered that a large part of the cost of this movie was spent on special effects. If Dumbledore helped, it would probably be the cost of food.

Dumbledore saw Charles looking at him, shrugged and said: "He asked Minerva to help next summer vacation, and the deal will be settled by the Quidditch World Cup."

Charles' mouth twitched, and the beads on the abacus rang so loud that you could hear it around the earth.

Jack nodded and said, "The funds have been raised, and everyone is willing to let the British film the story of the British ship. Cameron, DiCaprio, Winslet and others have already negotiated the schedule."

Charles was speechless, frowned and asked, "What do you want me to do?"

Jack said, "I want to borrow the Falbottom Castle as a filming location."

Charles had nothing to say. The company's place was indeed suitable. The lake outside could sink Little Leo, and the rooms inside could be transformed into various scenes. The most important thing was that electronic products could be used.

"Let's borrow it." Charles sighed, "Then, Grandpa, have you ever thought about the International Statute of Secrecy?"

The chairman of the International Confederation of Wizards is sitting there. Isn't he afraid of problems if he openly tramples on the Statute of Secrecy?

Dumbledore shrugged and said, "The International Confederation of Wizards recently passed an amendment to the International Statute of Secrecy based on the use of potions on Muggles. As long as Muggles don't know that it is magic, it's fine."

"The Ministry of Magic will send people to cast a Confusion Spell on the Muggles participating in the filming, so that they will think that those are all stunts."

He said it with some helplessness.

Sure enough, he continued, "It took only half an hour from the proposal to the passing of this motion. It was mainly proposed by some countries in Africa, America, and Southeast Asia because of the special medicine for treating malaria."

"Because that medicine is produced in our UK, Fudge also hopes that I will support it."

Charles understood that the countries that proposed this motion were all tropical countries suffering from malaria. If Dumbledore opposed it, they could really initiate an impeachment motion and pass it, and the people waiting to grab Dumbledore's position would be from Africa.

"By the way!" Charles suddenly remembered something, "That novel was co-authored by me and Lady Delacour. I remember that it has not been authorized to make a movie?"

Jack said as a matter of course: "Your guardian agrees."

Charles was speechless. It was true. The old man just needed to sign it.

He suddenly found a big problem. The time for the film project and the revision of the confidentiality law was too coincidental, right?

He didn't dare to think deeply about this problem. It was estimated that the mastermind behind the scenes was right in front of him.

There was nothing for Charles to do next. Jack pretended to invite Dumbledore to be a stuntman.

Dumbledore smiled and said, "If you say it again, I'll agree."

Jack immediately took out his mechanical pocket watch and looked at it, saying, "It's getting late, I should go back."

"Oh, the stairs in Hogwarts are always so annoying, I wish someone could take me out."

Dumbledore sneered, stood up and pulled his arm, and used the headmaster's privilege to Apparate him back to 3 Privet Drive.

Less than two minutes later, Dumbledore came back.

He asked Charles, "What do you think about this?"

Charles shrugged and said, "I can only say that the power of love is strong."

Dumbledore nodded.

The headmasters in the paintings on the wall didn't know where they had gone. They were probably having a gossip meeting, leaving the former headmaster Armando Dippet looking around in confusion.

Charles thought for a moment and said, "Professor Dumbledore, I think there are uninvited guests in the castle."

Dumbledore nodded and said, "Yes, I heard from the students that someone was sneaking around in the castle at night."

Charles asked again, "Is it related to the attack on Draco Malfoy that day?"

He wanted to bring up the topic of the Death Eaters, but Dumbledore thought of something else: "I think it's possible. Maybe someone thinks that the Malfoy family has a treasure house in the castle."

"It's getting late. You should go back and rest."

Charles had no choice but to leave. There was no dessert today. Obviously, the headmaster was in a bad mood.

He could understand that the old man suddenly came up with such an operation, and everyone would be confused.

When Charles returned to the Gryffindor common room, the fourth-year students were gathered together to study something.

Harry greeted him enthusiastically, but he just responded calmly and then walked up the stairs to the bedroom.

Harry asked curiously, "What happened to Charles?"

Hermione said, "He looks very tired."

Lavender asked puzzledly, "What happened?"

Seamus pinched his chin and said, "I think it has something to do with the recent increase in the price of flour. I heard from my mother that flour is more expensive than in the summer."

Ron also said, "I heard from Percy that the bread in Diagon Alley is much more expensive recently."

Dean said, "The Dancing Grass Restaurant needs a lot of flour every day. He will lose a lot of money if the price of flour increases."

Several people were talking about Charles, and everyone felt that the recent increase in flour prices had put a lot of pressure on him.

Hermione said she would go see Charles, but no one cared, and continued to study the treasure map that Dean found today.

In the dormitory, Charles was lying on the bed, staring at the top of the mosquito net, thinking about some problems.

Hermione sat on the edge of the bed, grabbed a handful of toffee in her pocket and put it on the head of his bed, and asked, "You won't deduct the wages of the house elves, right?"

She learned from Dobby that Charles paid the elves wages. Just now, she heard everyone say that the Dancing Grass Restaurant was going to lose money, so she immediately thought about whether Charles would reduce the elves' wages to ensure his own profits.

Charles raised his hand and pointed at the door, and said in a deep voice: "You, now, get out!"

He was just having a headache about the old man's affairs, and Hermione suddenly came to talk about this, which made him angry.

The Dancing Grass Restaurant has nothing to do with Hermione, so why should she interfere?

Hermione pouted and said, "Huh, you always treat me like a child and order me around."

She is now a girl of fifteen or sixteen, including the time she used the time-turner, and she is beginning to be dissatisfied with some things.

Charles took a deep breath and asked, "Miss Granger, you are in the boys' bedroom, and a boy treats you as an adult. Do you have any special ideas?"

Hermione's face suddenly turned red.

Charles continued, "Let me treat you as a woman, and grow cat ears and a tail first."

Hermione's face suddenly turned pale again.
