The sun shown brightly as we continued our journey, we took our time finding our way to devils peak. There was much to enjoy, the Brooks babbled with life I managed to impress Micah with my fishing skills. Ash grazed in a nearby meadow as we sat down for lunch, we had no desire to rush our journey. Felix was also content in exploring his surroundings, although I knew he should be with the dragons as soon as possible to start his training. One day he would be dragon lord, ruler of all the dragons. I felt a twinge of sadness creep on my heart as i realized how big of a role he actually would play. When he matured he would find a mate of his own and give life to a new dragon lord to take his place when he died.

"Are you ok?" I guess my emotions showed easily on my face because micah was concerned about me again.

"Yes. Just thinking about what's to come...I feel attached to Felix. "

"I understand. It'll be hard to say goodbye to him."

"Yeah..."

"Theres some good news out of this though.."

"Is there?"

"Yes. Once we get felix to where he belongs we have the freedom to start our own family." He blushed at me, that mornings romp flashed through my mind causing my face to turn red.

"That's only if you'll still have me when this is over." I teased him.

"I'll have you everyday for the rest of our lives." He kissed my hand, turning to walk away. I quickly grabbed his hand pulling him to me, grabbing his face in my hands I planted a deep kiss on his lips.

"Is that a proposal? " I gasped after our lips parted.

"Absolutely. " He growled, wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me closer before kissing me again.

"Well, I guess that's your lunch. " I sighed.

"Interrupted again. " Micah kissed my forehead before leaving to get ash.

"You're determined to make sure my virginity is intact. " I chuckled at Felix.

Felix gave me a toothy grin before digging back into his meal.
