A Failure's hopeful Journey

Yuki, Allan, and Neo. All took turns in guiding the people. Suddenly Fenny said, "Xi Wang, the drones picked up another diversion. What to do?" 

The boy thought for a bit, and replied, "How about we seal the diversion entrance and retreat for the day. Give those who had been in the front a chance to consolidate and then they can take it on tomorrow. I am slightly hesitant about letting them all go in so soon."

The others nodded and they progressed. You Xi Wang suppressed the entrance of the diversion while Fenny sealed it with flags. Then She said, "Seal up, we are going back, and do not touch the array flags on the way back. The more arrays we have the better-accumulated sealing." 

"Yes." said the team collectively. 

This accumulative array suppression was an improvisation in the usual suppression array proposed by You Zhichi. It was very helpful for them to use it. The people had no objections. After the front team sealed up the last step they all retreated. They all began to walk back to the opening and on the way, they met You Zhichi and her team. 

The celestial maiden said, "This was really tiring and the reason we came back was the slow progress. The people have lost spirit energy and they were becoming weaker. So we sealed the last step and came back, also, the array flags we had are finished now." 

You Xi Wang raised an eyebrow and asked, "How did you finish them so soon, we still have five of six sets left." 

Gena replied, "We planted them every three meters. This entrance was infested with crawlers, and we found two zombies." 

Fenny nodded, "Anything peculiar Gena?" she could sense the melancholy of this girl. 

Gena hesitated and said, "How about we talk when we get out of this place?" 

The people nodded and they walked out of the tunnels. The army of dwarves was standing outside to guard them, they saw the people coming outside and began to count how many people had come back alive. After counting they were all shocked. They did not count even one head missing from the previous count. 

This was a surprise to them as they have lost a little too many people before they could even see what was going inside the darkness. Yet, here is the group of people that came back with all intact. The general was about to say something when Onyxia said, "They are exhausted."

The general asked, "Why do you say so, Your Highness?" 

"Their spirit energy is drained," she replied. 

The general looked back at the people again and he was surprised. The observation of the princess was correct, these people were all drained. This means the enemy was not easy to deal with. He said, "Shall I arrange for their food and stay?" 

Onyxia nodded and then walked up to where You Xi Wang was. She was curious about the strength of this boy and wanted to know what was the secret that made him have so many people follow him with utter obedience. Even her own father may not have such firm control. 

She heard as she got closer, about how the people dealt with the problem and how they almost thought that they will die while facing the dark beasts. She also, heard, about how You Xi Wang and You Zhichi were the guardians of the people in the tunnels. She spotted that the main leaders of the force were all gathered around a table and they seemed to be holding a meeting. 

You Xi Wang turned his head to her and his dark gaze made her freeze. Thankfully, You Zhichi patted her brother on the shoulder and asked him to let the girl come over. Onyxia sat down behind You Zhichi. 

Gena spoke, "The crawlers inside are all mating. They are trying to grow their population. At this rate, I suspect that in the depths of the tunnels there is a treasure that supports darkness and is providing them with the nourishment and the dark energy they need." 

Her words made everyone around the table raise their eyebrows. Allan said, "This just became very tricky." 

Neo nodded, "Those breeding crawlers are timebombs, if the spirit shot missed them, then what will happen? Last time three people almost dead in the lost sector if not for Xi Wang to take us out of harm's way." 

Yuki nodded and said, "We cannot send the newbies to guide the rookies in this level." 

Fenny nodded and said, "This is the ultimate dilemma. If we set off on our own then who will guide the people?" 

You Zhichi said, "We can split the phantoms." 

The people began discussing but You Xi Wang sat calmly, he did not speak or said anything. Onyxia was confused by the scene. Suddenly You Xi Wang poked his chopsticks on the back of Gena's neck. 

The people were surprised but the next moment the skin wriggled and came out of the skin. Gena winced but did not complain. What came out of the skin was a black bug. It wriggled like a worm and was black in color. It was as if a sludge of oil. Neo said, "This bug, what is it?" 

You Xi Wang replied, "Breeder. They will and lodge in your body and then they lay eggs before they die inside you. The children come out after eating the brain of the host. These crawlers are sure difficult. Thank god, Gena had the ability to control her spirit energy around this bitch to restrain it." 

The people nodded and Yuki asked, "What to do though?" 

You Xi Wang said, "Solo the tunnels, I will be needing one career with me. This way we will not have to compromise the strength in other places. Do not dissuade me. You all know it is important and only this way can we complete the task on time." 

You Zhichi asked, "Who will be the career?"

Suddenly they heard Onyxia say, "May I ask, what is a career?"
