A Failure's hopeful Journey

You Xi Wang stood in front of the tunnels waiting for Onyxia to come out. The boy had changed his battle suit to the one without any space arrays to store his equipment and held his weapons on his body. The spear and the bow were given to th princess to hold the rest were carried by himself. 

He did not believe in the capabilities of the princess and she was in charge of only the auxiliary aid, like carrying food and water, and also some medicine. 

Onyxia was arranged to help him with the array flags and also with the drones. She was to carry it all and follow You Xi Wang like a caddy behind a golfer. The sun came up and the people marched inside the tunnels. 

The suits all had a mask attached to them. All masks had eyes covered with microarrays. The eyes were made of a composite glass that could help them see things in thermal and infrared mode. Onyxia was given a similar suit to wear and she was done for. never had she thought that such a thing can exist? 

She followed You Xi Wang silently. It was not that she was scared of him but she was impressed by this boy in front of him. She was a sucker for craftsmen and this boy had designed this sort of suit. How can she not admire him? Fenny even told her how many things were developed by him and added fuel to her fire of admiration to blind idolization.

The boy did not care about the coolie behind him as he walked inside the tunnels with a serious face. The system said, "This girl is smitten by you? Why not take her on in this dark place, No one will know."

You Xi Wang said, "I will know. You better stop this or go back to the silent treatment and see if I care. You whore." 

He scolded his system and that got the latter in line. They walked forward and finally came to the last location where Gena and the rest of the people left the expedition. You Xi Wang said, "You remember to take the count of the spirit array flags every time you put one circle and report to me when you have only one set left. Okay?" 

Fenny had told Onyxia that inside the tunnel she was You Xi Wang's subordinate so she can forget the honorifics. He may not say much but he will not be over the line as well. The dwarven princess had no problem with his and she agreed to it. However, it still felt odd for her to be talked about like this by anyone. 

She snapped back to her senses and nodded in response. Yuki had told(warned) her not to be slogged in her responses. You Xi Wnag may suffer because of that. The boy saw the rabbit mask nod to him and found it funny. It was Fenny who gave this girl a rabbit masked suit. 

He took a deep breath and said, "You can talk using the comms array in the mask." 

"Yes." Onyxia said. The boy nodded and then took out his revolvers. Spirit guns were minimized and shaped like revolvers. The fire rate was slow at first so You Xi Wang added a drum of the firing mechanism in the back. The size of these revolvers was as big as that of a mini submachine gun and the fire rate was equal to a Gattle gun but without a heating problem. 

The boy placed his fingers on the triggers and as soon as he took a step inside the array barrier the guns started to flash. Every single dark creature that lunged at him was just an insect. These bugs were not the problem. The main villains of this setup were the crawlers hidden among the swarm. You Xi Wang would use fire spirit energy in his body to repel the bugs further away from his body and the system would manipulate the soul force. 

The system was acting as a radar for the crawlers. Every single crawler in the tunnel was locked on and shot at before they were even to reach within one-meter range of the boy. Onyxia was watching the scene from behind and she was surprised. The surprise later turned into a shock. 

The bugs were everywhere, the ceilings, the walls, the floor, and even in the void in front of the boy yet his targets were aimed at accurately and taken out quickly. After fifteen minutes, they cleared up the five meters and You Xi Wang said, "Seal it up." 

Onyxia replied, "Yes, Sir." and began to place the sealing arrays as You Xi Wang advanced. The two people worked in silence. They completed twenty meters and You Xi Wang consumed some water and dry food. He also asked Onyxia to try some. The princess was hesitant but after she ate, she was surprised to find out that her energy was replenished very quickly. 

She had not worked but the mental exhaustion was something else altogether. The boy sought strong and his guns were the bane of the dark bugs. Suddenly he noticed that the ceiling has risen and it was big enough for him to stand and even use a spear. 

He said, "Be careful, something big is waiting for us." 

His words had just dropped when a screeching roar sounded. You Xi Wang spotted a pair of gleaming eyes in the dark. He said, "Spear." 

Onyxia did not dare to be lax and threw out the spear she had been holding onto. The spear seemed to have come to life in You Xi Wang's hand. The darkness around him was lit up with folder glow. The next moment the boy spun the spear and fought with a dark beast. It was as if a small building was attacking him but You Xi Wang dealt with it easily. 

The spear stabs and swipes were all very precise and dealt fatal damage. After dealing with the big guy a lot of small ones also followed but You Xi Wang took out his sword and fought simultaneously. 

Onyxia did not dare to blink. She even recorded all this happening in the recorder of the suit. Fenny had told her to keep this on at all times. She followed You Xi Wang with a distance of six meters and was yearning to close the distance between them. 

Women liked strong men. However, it was a pity.
