A Failure's hopeful Journey

You Daoxin beckoned You Xi Wang over to his side. The man waved his hand and the spirit energy inside the soul sea transformed into a set of chairs and table. The man smiled and said, "I will be borrowing these. Do not worry, my presence will cease to exist in a few minutes."

You Xi Wang sat down on a chair opposite the man and asked, "Senior, what do you mean by ceasing to exist?"

The man replied, "Until someone else, also, awakens the martial spirit and climbs to the second stage of the Nirvana rebirth realm, I will not appear. My presence dwells within the seed of the martial spirit. So, I have only limited time and consciousness." 

You Xi Wang nodded in understanding. However, he still found it a bit unfathomable how the founder of the clan woke up inside his soul sea. You Daoxin said, "You, young man, have quite a few achievements under your belt." 

The boy smiled and shook his head as he said, "You praise me wantonly, senior." 

You Daoxin nodded and said, "The matters of your soul, I do not understand them but I find you have no malice for the family and neither do you have any bad motives. Thus, I will allow you to live." 

You Xi Wang nodded, he was sort of expecting this to happen since the person could control the spirit energy inside his soul sea. This much was easy detection for him. You Daoxin said, "I want to tell you that the martial spirit is not just a mere tool to augment your fighting capacity." 

He took a pause and continued, "The martial spirit also cultivates with you. It will grow along with the practitioner. The moment you step into the Dao Formation realm, your spirit will comprehend a dao seed. This seed will merge with the Dao you comprehend on your own. At this moment this Martial spirit will become True spirit. 

From the moment the two seeds merge, you will not have to call upon your martial spirit, it will become a permanent augmentation, merging with your body. Your cultivation realm will not be higher but it will be twice stronger than the rest in the same realm." 

You Xi Wang was shocked, he wanted to ask more when You Daoxin raised his hand to stop him. The man said, "This boon does not come without a bane. If you ever lost control of your emotions. For example, experiencing extreme rage, the result will be a slaughter. The attribute of your martial spirit in battle. The augmentation will assimilate that attribute with your heart in order to become a true spirit. 

When you call upon your martial spirit, do you not feel it slightly tugging at your consciousness?" 

The young man nodded at this question. He did feel such a tug coming over every time he would call over his spirit. He asked, "Senior, why is it such? I have conquered the consciousness battle with the spirit then why does it still have an instinct of its own." 

You Daoxin smiled and said, "It is because when I transformed in the martial spirit. I had a battle instinct lingering on me. It was to the point where I was about to break into a dual with the spirit king." 

You Xi Wang was shocked. He almost called the man a battle maniac. However, knowing that the other party was the founder of his clan he kept it inside. You Daoxin said, "You do not have to worry, in case of extreme emotional shock, you only need to think of those whom you love. Love is a strong force. It can fuel rage but it can also calm it down." 

The boy fell into thought. He did not even realize when You Daoxin vanished in front of him. He was lost in his thoughts of the true spirit assimilation. He did not know how will he make it happen, in case he lost control after merging with the martial spirit. 

Suddenly, it occurred to him as he mumbled, "Foolish, thinking so much over something that has not occurred. It will become my heart demon and I will be vulnerable then, unable to advance." 

As soon as he realized this the martial spirit silhouette floating inside the soul sea floated over to him, and then it burst into golden particles, covering him inside. 

The cocoon formed around his consciousness. While on the outside the system was extracting energy from the surroundings and re-casting the destroyed skeleton inside his body. The spirit energy compressed and it flowed inside the empty skeleton places like liquid metal, slowly setting in.

The system sighed, [Damn it, the re-casting is almost complete and the tribulation will follow any moment, why is this guy not waking up.] 

It was able to sense that You Xi Wang's consciousness was not there. However, knowing the pain the young man must have suffered he did not complain much either. It waited and focused only on the job it was supposed to do. After re-casting the bones, the system also connected the various ligaments and tissues back from where they were detached. 

You Xi Wang opened his eyes and walked outside the cave after dispelling the barriers. He exited the cave, it has been ten days since the process started, but to him, it was like an eternity. Even now it was not You Xi Wang who was running ahead, but the system that has taken the control of the body. 

He was going over to a place where he can deal with the tribulation and at the same time re-cast his organs. The process must not be interested in anyone. Soon, with tremendous speed, he had come to a secluded valley and cast two concealment arrays, two isolation arrays. All level nine. 

The system mumbled, [Master, you better wake up before the tribulation is here, if the lightning detected my presence then we are coke.]

You Zhen Long sensed some movement inside the cave and said, "He is out, let us go, we need to guard the parameter around him. This world is not inhabited by humans and beasts." 

The next moment, he and Griffin Tallus vanished from their place. You Zhichi followed her great grandmaster. You Zhen Long called upon, the ancestor of the Paul Family and Griffing Tallus called over the ancestor of Gena's family.

You Zhen Long was surprised and said, "I shall refine a good sword for my family's bride." 

As they were talking black clouds gathered overhead. You Zhichi said, "Maya." 

A little girl appeared beside her. Maya was left behind by You Xi Wang when he left the cave. She came over with You Zhichi. The celestial maiden said, "Go inside, and tell him if he dared to die. I will cut off my heart from the world. He will be responsible for this."

Maya nodded and said, "Yes, big sister Zhichi." and the white-haired girl vanished from her place. Y

You Xi Wang woke up inside his soul sea and looked around, "Where am I?" 

The system said, "If you did not take over, then nothingness." 

You Xi Wang snapped out of his daze and took over the command of his body, only to find Maya appear next to him. He smiled at her and asked, "Maya, why did you come here now?" 

Maya delivered the message from You Zhichi and said, "I will face it together with you." 

The young man patted her head and said, "Do not worry. The second round is where I will be needing you." 

Maya was aware of his plan but she did not know the details. None of the people did. As You Xi Wang could say anything more the clouds began to rumble as the thick lightning strikes emerged. He asked the system, 'Will this magnitude be enough?'

The system replied, [You can try to entice it a bit more.] 

You Xi Wang stood up and stretched his body as he said, "So, old friend, we meet again. Can you come at me a little stronger, the last time was very disappointing." 

As if the heavens could hear his words, the lightning turned from red to blue. It was not getting gentler but more terrifying. The system said, [This will do.]

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "Come." 

He did not have the time yet to explore what happened to his martial spirit but he was a little more eager to face against the lightning falling from the sky.
