A Failure's hopeful Journey

The boy who attacked You Xi Wang was very close to him and the teachers were not on guard against such a situation. The boy attacked You Xi Wang when he turned to walk away. The others who noticed this they were surprised. They had no clue why someone will suddenly jump the gun. It was a bet but the entire event was fair and thorough. Even if there was a grievance it should be the person who lost and not a bystander.

You Xi Wang did sense the attack coming but he did not turn back to avoid it, and a loud scream rang out through the hall. This scream attracted the attention of those who did not notice anything peculiar earlier. The scream came from the attacker and not You Xi Wang.

Someone asked about the situation and a student from class D told him how the guy tried to pull a quick one on You Xi Wang but ended up screaming. The teachers came forward and frowned after hearing the situation. 

"Student You Xi Wang, what happened here?" Daina asked while frowning.

You Xi Wang respectfully replied, "When I walked away, this person tried to sneak attack on me. I only countered in self-defense, Miss."

Maddison saw an ice shard stabbed through the guy's foot pinning it to the ground. Maddison looked around at the students and said, "Which one of you attacked? Come forward." her calm tone was really scary for her own classroom. They all shook their heads and flinched back. Maddison's eyes turned cold, watching this everyone was scared but You Xi Wang came to their rescue. 

"Miss, I was the one who attacked and not anyone else," he called out to her teacher.

Maddison turned to face him and said, "You can use wind element, can you also use water? Not to mention the principle of ice?"

You Xi Wang replied with a smile, "That is not my skill, but my spirit beast can use it."

His words shocked everyone, they knew how hard it was to get a spirit beast at a young age. The beast in nature can only be contracted as a spirit beast when they have not awakened their bloodline and not transform into humanoids. Now You Xi Wang told them that he has already contracted one. They were all curious to see what the beast looked like. 

Daina first removed the ice shard from the student who attacked and asked, "Thomas Colt, why did you attack him?"

The student in question was Thomas Colt, a boy with meek looks and a cunning face. He shared a similar golden hair color, just like all the colt family members. You Xi Wang heard this name and tilted his head to look at the boy who attacked him. Daina frowned on getting no answer. They thought they should ask the higher authorities about this but before they could speak You Xi Wang came to stand facing Thomas Colt.

"Say, trash of Colt family, how about we have a life and death battle? I will give your snake face a proper chance before I crush you like a worm." You Xi Wang spoke with his head tilted and he had a warm smile on his face. He looked like a maniac. His voice was calm but the chill contained in it made them shudder in fear. What kind of change was this? They all know You Xi Wang as an amiable boy who never offended anyone until and unless they made a move on his close ones.

Maddison snapped her fingers and calmed down the atmosphere and looked at You Xi Wang. She spoke up, "You Xi Wang, what do you think you are doing?"

You Xi Wang replied without taking his gaze off of Thomas Colt, "I, You Xi Wang swear in the name of my blood that this person called, Thomas Colt is a dark dweller. If I am proved wrong, I shall cease to exist."

This blood oath shocked all the people inside the room. The world of metropia was bound by laws of nature if someone swears something in the name of blood they will pay a prize for it. If the claim or statement was false, their blood will evaporate and they will die. This was the law of Metropia which was no controlled or changed by anyone. That is why they were shocked. 

Maddison acted quickly and sent an SOS signal to the administrative block and within five seconds a middle-aged woman came to the STR. She looked around and saw everyone being anxious except for five kids standing together. Maddison and Daina came forward and saluted the woman respectfully. Maddison spoke up first, "Senior Gabriella, this is the kid suspected to be a dark dweller." she pointed towards Thomas Colt.

This woman was called Gabriella, she was a peak primal soul realm cultivator. She did not say anything and only nodded to the two who informed her. She took out a needle and poked it inside Thomas Colt's stomach and chanted some words. Soon Thomas Colt started to shiver and sweat beads formed on his forehead. 

Gabriella's eyes turned cold and she spoke, "You dark dwellers have grown some real guts to come and hide inside our school." her words proved You Xi Wang's earlier claim. The whole crowd flinched. This was an unexpected event. 

Gabriella looked at You Xi Wang with a warm smile and said, "You have done a good deed."

You Xi Wang ignored her praise and said, "You will take him to the administration block for interrogation?"

Gabriella nodded and said, "Yes, why do you ask?"

You Xi Wang said, "Can I come along? I also have some information regarding these scums."

Gabriella thought about it and nodded. You Xi Wang called out, "Maya, come along." he stretched out his hand and a wolf cub jumped over and sat on his broad shoulders.

Without Maya's spell, all the other cubs also appeared. Let alone the students even senior Gabriella was stunned. They did not expect these five students to have their own spirit beasts. You Xi Wang did this to show his talent. Every academy treasures talented people and this was an undeniable fact. 

You Xi Wang walked up to Thomas Colt and tapped his body a few times and sealed his cultivation base. He took out the needle poking in his stomach. He gave the needle back to Gabriella and said in a respectful tone, "Senior let's go. Time is precious."

Gabriella nodded and wrapped them both with her spiritual energy and took them to the administration tower. Daina and Maddison acted as if nothing happened and the test continued as usual. Gabriella took them to the section called Interrogation Department. This department in any school was established to uncover and deal with students or teachers who are involved in malpractices and sometimes they come across dark dwellers among the staff and students just like now.

When You Xi Wang reached the interrogation room, he found it very... empty. Gabriella informed her higher-ups using her Holo-phone and received her instructions. First, she called up a colleague of hers to talk to You Xi Wang and get the information he had to share. You Xi Wang cooperated with the man called Fredrick Link and told him about the things regarding Seedling Inc. When they both came out of the room they saw Gabriella frowning as she stood next to the entrance of the room where Thomas was contained at the moment. 

Fredrick Link asked his colleague, "What? Another tough nut?"

Gabriella nodded and spoke, "I cannot understand how tenacious these maggots are."

Fredrick said, "Let me call someone from the executioner department. They are good at this."

You Xi Wang said, "Seniors, may I interrogate him?"

They looked at him with wide eyes, Fredrick chuckled and said, "What makes you think he will speak after you ask him?"

You Xi Wang replied with a smile on his face, "He will."

Gabriella spoke up, "Knock yourself out, student You Xi Wang." and gestured him to the door. Those who discovered the dark dwellers had the right to interrogate them too. 

You Xi Wang entered the room with a smile on his face. Thomas who saw him entering the room sneered, "You think, you can make me speak? Tch, arrogant. If not for that bitch I would have killed you." he was unaware of what kind of storm was coming towards him and on top of that, he just abused Maya verbally. 

You Xi Wang shook his head and took out a dagger from his ring. He came to stand next to Thomas who was sitting in a chair with his hands tied. He pressed his hand on top of his hand and cast a soul spell. 

In the soul spell, Thomas was his time with beautiful women while You Xi Wang was lying on his feet like a dog. While outside You Xi Wang flayed him from his torso to his neck. His veins and tendons were visible. He looked like a model used in medical classed to teach the students about muscles in the human body. You Xi Wang wiped the sweat on his forehead, he was slightly tired because he was doing two tasks at the same time which both required high focus. 

You Xi Wang then took a seat on the chair opposite to Thomas Colt and removed the soul spell. The work process of a soul spell was very simple, it won't let your brain interpret anything happening to you in the real world, even pain. The pain from being skinned was accumulated and when the spell came off, Thomas wailed in pain. His scream leaked from the room and Fredrick and Gabriella who stood outside were shocked. They rushed inside the room, only to be shocked by the scene. 

You Xi Wang whistled to Maya who sat on his shoulder. The latter stood up and walked to Thomas who was wailing, she sniffed him and turned her head away. She stood sideways and raised her hind leg. She took a piss on the flayed body and loud screams followed, some were from the physical pain while some were because of his shattered dignity. You Xi Wang took out an alcohol bottle from his ring and splashed some on Thomas's body. 

He lit it up with a lighter he borrowed from Fredrick, after Thomas issued some screams You Xi Wang would extinguish the flames and then repeat the process again. Just fifteen minutes have passed and Thomas was begging them for death.

You Xi Wang said to Gabriella, "He is all your now teacher." and with that said, he went outside the room.
