Chapter 97

Thursday, the day of the sports day. I wear my gym uniform and waiting for the times of the sports day to start. Obviously, as the student council president, I will need to give the students some motivation before the even started.

Incidentally, three weeks have passed since Kanon move to Izu. According to Yukino who has been calling me quite often this past week, many boys cried hysterically because The Angel of Soubu moves to other prefectures.

Yukino also told me she had contacted her father, Kensuke and they had a heart to heart talk about their family relationship. And of course, Kensuke also informed me about that by the call. He even said he wanted to go to Izu and say his thanks to me.

Well, of course, I told him not to. The most important thing right now is to talk with his family besides Yukino and maybe have a family meeting. Still, Yukino's mood was drastically improved as she often giggled when she called me on the phone.

The cleaning process of the new house was also steadily continued. The salesperson informed me that the cleaning would be finished right at the schedule which is after the sports day finished. This means tomorrow morning we will be busy moving our stuff to the new house.

Fortunately, we don't need to worry about the furniture since we already choose some furniture for our room and Natsuki already ordered some people to purchase furniture for us.

The sports day in our school is a competition between two teams which is the red and the white team. And my and Kaori's class is on the red team. And incidentally, almost all of my friends and girlfriends are on the same team as me. Except for Kaguya who has been sulking about all the time.

As I think about something like that, it is finally the time for me to give some words of motivation to the students which signaling the start of the sports day. I leisurely walk to the podium that placed in front of everyone who lined up in an orderly manner on the field.

"Good morning my fellow students. Today, we are here to participate in the sports day that held once every year. Normally, I need to talk about such boring things about why should we participate in this event or the history of this event.

But I decided not to. Because it is natural everyone of you know about this event already. What I want to tell you right now isn't complicated. I want you trying to win in the competition you will participate today with all your might.

However, since it's a competition, of course, not everyone can be the winner. Still, I am certain that giving all our energy trying to win in this friendly competition will be a fun thing to do.

Why? Because this is such an event where you can have fun moving your body refreshing from the studies you did every day. That's why...Go have fun!" I ended the words with a smile.

Right now I was sitting in my class spot with Kaori beside me. Incidentally, our class spot was just right beside Kaguya's class. Which is why Kaguya also sits beside me.

The first competition is the second-year three-legged race. Kaori and one girl from our class will be the ones who participate in our class. Meanwhile, Kaguya will also participate with Mikazuki-san. In addition, Kashiwazaki-san also participated with a girl from her class.

"Cheer for me, Izu! I will win this!" Kaori stood up and smilingly said.

"Hoo... Too bad for you, Kaori-san. I will be the winner of this competition. That's why, cheer for me, Izumi." Kaguya stood up and said with a smirk. Well, I can understand where her confidence comes from as she is good at sports too.

"Hehe...that's just what I wished for. If it's me alone, I might be unable to win. However, this is a team play!" Kaori grinned and said.

"Then, let's have a good match." Kaguya offered a handshake while looking at Kaori with a confident smirk.

"Nn, let's have a good match." Kaori accepted Kaguya's handshake while looking back at her with a smile. It's like a spark was coming out from their gaze.

"I will cheer for you two, then. Please do your best." I stood up and said while giving them a head pat.

"Yes!" Both of them looked at me with a cheerful smile and went to prepare themselves.

After a while, the participants have finished their preparation and waiting for the signal in the start line. It was until the whistle that mark the start of the competition sounded.

Kaori team and Kaguya team immediately run faster than any other team. Of course, I knew they have been practicing for today's competition.

Honestly, it made me happy looking at the energetic and happy Kaori and the joyful Kaguya who seems freed from her burden every day.

"Go, Kaguya, Kaori!" I shouted to cheer both of them. Hearing my shout, Kaori and Kaguya smiled and went faster than before. The students near me didn't look at me weirdly as I cheered for both teams. Instead, they warmly look at me because they already know both of them are my girlfriends.

"You can do it, Yozora, Sena!" Kodaka shouted.

"Go, Yozora-senpai, Sena-senpai!" Rika also shouted.

In the end, the winner of the competition is Kaguya's team. But only with a slight difference with Kaori's team. After they arrived at the finish line and knew that Kaguya is the winner, both of them looked at each other and laughed.

"Next time I will win!" Kaori said with a radiant smile.

"No, I am still the winner next time." Kaguya smiled and said. Then both of them went back to our spot and sit beside me.

"Good job, you two." I caressed their head and gently said.

"Hehehe..."

The next competition is 'Karimono Kyousou' or Item Borrowing Race. It's just like running competition but the participants need to bring whatever written in the paper to reach the finish or they will be disqualified.

One student will be participating as the representative of each class. The first match will be for first-year students. Except for Chisa, none of the participants are my friends. I do think I will be borrowed by Chisa, though.

"Izu-nii, come with me!" Chisa grasps my hand and immediately run to the finish.

"Hehe, okay!" I smiled and said. When I looked at the other participant, it seems someone just borrowed Ishigami.

It's a petite young girl with brown eyes and long brown hair that is styled in loose pigtails, with bangs covering her forehead. Her name is Miko Iino. She and Ishigami are an acquaintance according to Ishigami. But I can only see them as a friend.

"Yay, we win, Izu-nii!" Chisa hugged my hand and joyously said.

"Good for you, Chisa. Oh, and what's written in the paper, Chisa?" I caressed her head and asked. When I asked, Chisa got reddened. Come to think of it, the girl who checks the paper also reddened when she saw the paper. She also looked at Chisa enviously.

"It's Future Husband" Chisa gently pulled my hand and whispered directly into my ear. Then she giggled happily. Looking at that, I hold back my urges to hug and kiss her and just caressed her head instead.

Not long after, Miko and Ishigami arrived. Ishigami looks depressed after knowing what's written in the paper. When I asked him what written in the paper, it seems to be a 'Jerk'. Chisa, who was beside me at that time, laughed when they heard about it.

Now for the second-year, Kaori will be the participant in our class. Miyuki-chan, Chika-chan, and Kanon will also participate in this competition. The competition itself will be held two times. Kaori and Chika-chan will be in the first match.

"I might borrow you depending on what's written, Izu. Be ready!" Kaori laughed and said before she went to the start line.

As the match started, Kaori and Chika-chan run with all their might to the table with many papers above it. Both of them looked at the paper and then one girl come to my direction, it is Chika-chan.

"Izumi-san, please come with me!" Chika said with a tender smile and her cheek reddened a bit. It is just like the usual smile of her, but I feel like there is something different.

"Of course. Let's go!" I take her hand and run toward the finish. Chika looks surprised when I held her hand but happily smiled after that. Incidentally, Ishigami got borrowed again and this time with Kaori.

Naturally, Chika and I arrived at the finish first. The girl who checked the paper looked at me weirdly before nodded and accepted it.

"What's written on the paper, Chika-chan?" I asked.

"Hehe...It's an unfair person." Chika said with a gentle smile.

"Eh? Is this about what you said at that time?" I widened my eyes and asked.

"Hehe...I wonder." Chika laughed and said.

"Too bad I was the second." Kaori, who just arrived, said.

"Kaori-senpai, could you tell me what's written on the paper?" Ishigami asked with a curious and hopeful expression.

"Emo." Kaori laughed and said.

"Kaori-senpai! Please stop with that nickname! Imagine having an innocent child calling you that, it's devastating..." Ishigami depressedly said.

"Hahahaha" Kaori, Chika-chan, and I laughed together when we heard him.

And then the next match, I got borrowed again and this time by Kanon.

"Onii-san, please come with me to the finish." Kanon gently said.

"Let's go, we will win this too!" I gently held her hand and take her to the finish. Kanon smiled delightedly along the way as I held her hand. Incidentally, Miyuki-chan borrowed Yuu again. Kanon and I finished first and followed by Miyuki-chan right away.

The girl who checked the paper looked at me with a warm smile after she saw the paper that Kanon brought. And looked away while holding her laugh after she saw the paper Miyuki-chan brought.

"Well, this is the usual question. What's written on the paper, Kanon?" I asked.

"Hehe...It's Brother-like person." Kanon answered with a gentle smile.

"I guess I am the brother of an angel." I caressed her head and said with a warm smile.

"Okay, at this point, I don't even want to know what's written on the paper." Ishigami resignedly said.

"Really? I will tell you, though. It's Emo." Miyuki-chan laughingly said then immediately run away from Ishigami.

"You! Sissygane-senpai!"

Kanon concealed her mouth and elegantly laughed by the comedic scene in front of her. Naturally even the other girl and I laughed too.

Competition after competition has finished. The team score is 245 for the red team and 240 for the white team. At this pace, the winner will be decided at the last competition which is an athletic relay. Of course, I will also participate in the relay as the runner before the anchor.

And the anchor leg for the red team is Yuu. Although he seems hesitant, I wanted him to do it. He didn't have the same problem as the original Ishigami but he still isn't confident with himself. That's why I want him to know, he is a great person. And we will always cheer for him.

Then the relay started. The white team seems to be taking the lead, but that's fine because I can take the lead back later.

The runner before me passed the baton 30 secs after the white team's runner has run away. I run with fast speed but still normal in the eyes of normal humans and passed the white team's runner. Ishigami nervously looked at me while waiting for the baton.

"Yuu! Be confident in yourself and run! We will cheer for you." I shouted as I passed the baton. Hearing my shout, Ishigami looked at me with a determined expression and nodded as he takes the baton.

Ishigami runs with all his might but suddenly he got slowed and looking around the other students. In the meantime, the white team's anchor leg almost passed him. I looked at the others, and we nodded as if they understand what I mean.

"Go Ishigami! You can do it!" Kaori shouted.

"Ishigami-kun, if you lose, I will call you with that nickname every day!" Chika-chan added.

"Ishigami-kun, don't make us embarrassed and win!" Kaguya shouted.

"Win it, Ishigami-san!" Chisa also cheered.

One by one member of the red team started cheering for Ishigami. Ishigami looked at me as he runs and nodded with a happy smile on his face.

"Run, Yuu!" Then, I shouted. Ishigami runs with all his might while displaying a happy expression on his face. In the end, he was able to pass the white team's anchor leg, and the red team won the competition.

"Wooooooooooooo!" All members of the red team shouted and the boys went to Ishigami and lift him up to the air. Ishigami looked surprised, but he laughed happily after that.

"I am happy for you, Yuu." I crossed my hand and said with a smile. The other student council member also comes to my place as we watched the happy face of our friend, comrade, and brother, Ishigami Yuu.
