A One Night Stand Marriage: Mr. Qin, I'm Pregnant

Chapter 17 - Chapter 17. Military Confrontation

Aunt Liu was the servant standing guard outside the villa just now. She had been in the Ji family for many years and was highly regarded by Qin Min. Her attitude towards Ji Ningyan, the second young Miss, was the same as Qin Min’s.

Upon hearing Qin Min’s orders, she immediately rushed out of the kitchen and glared at Ji Ningyan like a tiger. “Second Miss, please wait!”

She had big arms and a round waist. Her size could not be ignored, and she also had a lot of brute force, so Qin Min asked her to fight.

Ji Ningyan gave Aunt Liu a once-over, not a hint of fear on her face.

“Get out of the way,” she said coldly.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t do that. Second Miss, please don’t make things difficult for a servant like me.” Aunt Liu’s plump body squeezed closer to Ji Ningyan as if to tell her not to overestimate her abilities.

Ji ningyan knew that she was utterly loyal to Qin Min. Her performance today truly lived up to the importance that Qin Min had placed on her.

She looked in the direction of the stairs. “If that’s the case, I’ll have to offend you!”

Ji Ningyan had worked at a martial arts school for several years and had thus secretly learned a few moves. She didn’t dare to say she was very skilled, but she was more than enough to deal with a seemingly strong but harmless, ordinary person like Aunt Liu.

As soon as Qin Min and Ji Dongting came down, they saw their weak and delicate little daughter kicking Aunt Liu’s muscular body.

It was as if the two didn’t know who Ji Ningyan was, and they both stared at this scene in astonishment.

Seeing this, Ji Ningyan took the opportunity to run out. Seeing this, Ji Dongting angrily chased after her. “Ningyan, come back!”

He watched as Ji Ningyan ran away like a rabbit, picking up speed. A short while later, she had disappeared from his line of sight.

She gradually slowed down after she ran out of the villa and was sure that Ji Dongting wasn’t chasing after her.

Her last bit of fantasy about Ji Dongting was instantly reduced to dust.

That saying was right; the person closest to you often hurt you the most.

On the way back, Ji Ningyan was in a depressed mood, but it just so happened that she received a call from Mo Huai.

“Miss Ji, I’m Mo Huai. I’m very sorry for only contacting you now.” On the phone, Mo Huai’s voice was low and hoarse, younger than Qin Nanyu’s but also more inexperienced.

He introduced himself as soon as he came in. Ji Ningyan quickly remembered that he had stood her up, and her mood worsened. “Are you contacting me now because you finally remembered our deal? ” she asked.

Mo Huai knew how much she valued the deal between them, but he dropped the ball at a crucial moment.

If it weren’t for the fact that she’d stumbled upon Qin Nanyu, the ‘Dead rat,’ and achieved her goal of a flash marriage, Ji Ningyan would’ve long since charged over to argue with Mo Huai.

“Miss Ji, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to stand you up. Yesterday, when I was about to reach the café, the doctor suddenly called me and said that my mother’s condition had suddenly worsened.” Mo Huai explained tiredly.

Ji Ningyan knew his situation. His mother had been in a car accident, and she had been seriously injured. The worst-case scenario was that the driver had escaped.

Mo Huai’s family was not wealthy, and he was a single parent. The reason why he agreed to marry her was for money.

Since this was all because of his mother, Ningyan naturally couldn’t blame him for anything. “Then, is your mother alright?”

“I barely managed to save her life. No matter what, I must apologize to you, Miss Ji. I didn’t show up, and I don’t know if I’ve affected you in any way.”

Qin Nanyu’s figure popped up in Ji Ningyan’s mind. She consoled him, “It doesn’t matter. You didn’t do it on purpose.”

‘I’m lucky to have found someone else to marry.’
