Looking at the woman, Ethan had a smile on his face

'I see, can she somehow see how powerful I am?... No, it's different. Maybe she has the ability to see my hypothetical strength? Thinking on her powers won't bring answers..it's better if I don't act carelessly..'

Hardening his expression, he saw the woman say

"You said it, we have many groups ready to defeat him, isn't it better to first test how strong he is and what techniques he can use? This will give us an advantage"

Understanding she was right, the provisional captain of the group sighed

"You are right, for now I'll go alone"

Turning around, he said

"Did you understand? I want nobody in the arena before I tell you to get off!"

With a nod, almost everyone agreed to his words.

'We can avoid being easily defeated in this way, brilliant .. who knows who this woman is..'

Sighing, the Captain shouted

"We will test his powers first, I will go alone! After that you will see my group enter the arena, every Captain can do as he likes!"

Hearing him, other Captains of different groups looked at each other before nodding.

'it is not a problem to wait a little longer, we can take advantage of that time to prepare better'

"Listen to me, Group C, you still need to talk about your skills right? take advantage of the opportunity that the captain of group A has given us!"

Saying this, the Captain of group B turned around to see all his temporary members talk about how to use their techniques. Smiling, he returned his focus on Ethan

Finally, with the chance to enter the arena, the Captain of Group A immediately enter without hesitation. Having Ethan 20 meters away, he made a smile

Thanking Light for the help, he answered the Captain

"Zakariya Sami.. As you know, my name is Ethan"

Although a presentation for him was useless, he introduced himself anyway. In a battle-ready state, the Captain was thinking how to attack him.

Convinced of this, he activated one of his skills to enhance his speed.

'I won't lose against you...'

even if he is not yet a veteran, the Captain was still Level 3 for about a year, so he had a lot of time to hone his skills.

Seeing him approaching, Ethan concentrated his boost on his legs and on defence. Parring his blow, Ethan said

"Why don't you draw your sword?"

Even though he could use the [Twin's Digimon], the Optional Objective was not to use any equipment from the system.

'I need to learn how to create weapons and armour without quests sticking to my wheels... I guess I'll go to the Hephaestus Familia and ask for a place where I can learn the [Blacksmith] development ability'

Thinking about a possible manual to help him understand how to obtain the ability, he returned his focus on the fight.

"Because I don't need a weapon to beat you"

'Is it wise to show them how quickly I can finish the fight? Yes... maybe they'll think that the only thing I can use is speed'

Smiling, he boosted his speed again. Taking advantage of the moment when the Captain was retreating, he focused hard on making an attack

'I'll probably develop a technique in the future. If I use my Instant speed with my perception slowed, I can hit him and return where I was without him noticing'

Deciding to implement this technique, Ethan approached him while the time surrounding him slowed down considerably. After a second, he was already behind the Captain.

Without add anything, everyone saw the Captain collapse on the ground while he was retreating. Confused, they looked at Ethan, the latter was motionlessly staring at the Captain while the strongest ones had managed to catch a glimpse of his actions

With sparks in her eyes, the first to talk was Tiona. With a shout, she had a happy expression on her face.

"So cool!!"

"Oh, that's what that workout was for!"

After she said this, Lefiya looked at her surroundings.

'Why everyone...is staring at me?'

Asking this question to herself, Tione made a sigh while she looked away

'I wonder if Captain could do the same at his level...'

With Tiona still shouting to Ethan, Riveria returned her focus on him

'It's still nothing of his real power.. Although he would surely lose against a level above 4, against a level 3 he is like a nightmare...'

Even though Loki hadn't the opportunity to see him fight yet, she expected at least this much.

With the situation in the Loki Familia's part this lively, for the rest the situation was devastating.

'We couldn't even see how it happened...'

With their morale drop considerably, two staff members entered the arena to take their Captain away..

Hardening her expression, the woman looked at the group without a Captain.

'I guess I have no other choice...'

Raising her hand, she said

"I know it seems impossible that the strongest of your group was so easily beaten, but if it wasn't, I don't think Ethan would carelessly stay there expecting all of us. He is really strong but if we manage to stay together and form a good teamwork, a single person can't compete against all of us! No matter how strong he is!"

Hearing the woman's shouting, Ethan sighed

'I see, It won't be that easy to knock everyone out if more people like her will manage groups..but, I can't back down. I need SP after all.'

Turning around to look at Ais, he made a thumb up while she had a 'smile' on her face.

'She will probably lead the Group A, but what about the other groups?'

Looking around, he saw that most of them where talking while few were staring at him with a determined expression.

'To face them all, I can try first with [Sagitta Magica]. It isn't necessary to show [Avian] this early in the fight. Now that I know they won't come in together to try to defeat me quickly, the situation is different'

Ready to face the Group A, he saw their expressions return radiant

'She's right..it was impossible that a normal level 2 would have the guts to face that many level 2 and 3..'

'It was obvious..we can't stop without even trying...'

Thinking this, the group decided to acknowledge the woman as the new Captain of the group A. Smiling, she said

"I shall present myself. My name is Anika, I'll do my best"

With a smile, the 2nd strongest of the group said

"We'll be in your care then"

Nodding, she returned her focus on Ethan.

"I think he uses some technique to fool us, Although I couldn't see anything, I'm sure this isn't the speed he can exercise. Maybe it's the product of a skill"

Understanding, she started to whisper the plan she conceived.

Boosting his ears, Ethan could hear what she was saying

"We need to understand how his skill works. I need to sacrifice some of you but we'll surely win this way.."

Stopping for a moment, she continued her speech

"There must be some limit to his skill. It can be the number of targets, the amount of damage it can inflict or the possibility of not being able to use other skills while using that. Our goal is to find weakness and use it to our advantage"

Understanding, the 'Vice-Captain' smiled

"You are really intelligent, aren't you?"

Hearing this, she had a blush on her face. Looking away, she said

"I-It was obvious...right!? I-I'm not that intelligent!"

Seeing her fl.u.s.tered expression, the Vice-Captain had a blush on his face while everyone in the group A laughed.

"It's always your fault, Lewis"

Hearing this, he replied

"I-I was just telling the truth.."

Sighing, Anika said

"Don't think about this now, the strategy is more important. Did all of you understand? I want at least 10 of you in front of us, we'll test if he can knock all of you out.."

Nodding, they were a bit reluctant to be the bait but, they understood it was necessary to make their group win.

'I don't know if he has a large-scale magic to knock everyone out, but I prefer to risk on the fact that he doesn't own it rather than staying here to waste time'

Although barely 15 minutes passed, time was still important for Anika.

'I have more chances to eliminate him if he's busy fighting against the group..knowing his limits will be essential for my information gathering'

Smiling, he heard Lewis call her. Returning her focus on him, she said

"Sorry, I was thinking on how to defeat him. I don't think he has many skills in his arsenal. He should've entered the Loki Familia 2 weeks ago.."

Nodding, Lewis and Anika drew the attention of the group.

"We should enter the arena now that we have more or less a strategy..."

Seeing Anika stare at him, Ethan had a smile on his face

'I see, they think I have limits, even if it is true, they will never be able to solve the problem. This new Captain has an air around her that I don't like at all, so to be sure I would say that boosting defence isn't a bad idea'

With a 'fake' smile, Anika thought

'The moment of your death will come soon...entertain me as best you can, E~than'
