A Warrior's Path
Chapter 278. Idiot
Blood red energy radiated off of the young man's body. It constantly wiggled increasing in size, after several seconds a huge monster twice as big as Mael appeared inside the arena.
Mael watched this with an indifferent expression. The young man however was smiling, he looked at the creature he summoned and said with a cold smile.
" I didn't expect you be that strong. But...your journey ends here. This is a soul formed from your blood, as long as it exist it will draw energy from you to grow stronger! Die knowing that I used my strongest attack to kill you."
The huge red monster lunged at Mael. Keeping an indifferent face Mael watched the incoming monster, he could feel his energy being drained by this abomination. Eventhough it wasn't huge consumption once it acc.u.mulates even Mael would find it troubling.
' The world sure is vast. '
Marvelled at the sight of this strange attack Mael clenched his staff. A huge amount of energy was being condensed into his staff, the engraving on it started to pulse with power, the young man's pupils shrunk at this sight. Waving his staff at the monster Mael let out a smile.
Boommm!
The monster collided with the staff creating a loud blast air. The wind twisted and turned creating a miniature cyclone within the arena. The young man stood still, the dagger was glowing with a strange eerie light as his viper like eyes stared at Mael for an opening.
The monster was blasted to pieces. Its body was completely shattered reverting back to the formless energy.
" Useless. Once the soul is formed it will only cease to exist when the original blood from where it came from is extinguished."
Shaking his head the young man said with a mocking smile.
" Is that so? "
For some reason Mael had a strange smile. He looked at the formless energy taking shape again. Demon Arhat Energy erupted from him, this time he fully unleashed his will. The formless energy stagnated for a second and trembled. Under the stunned gaze of the young man it escaped towards the exit of the arena.
Mael laughed. He opened his mouth and s.u.c.k.e.d in a mouthful of air. The formless energy was just outside the arena when it stopped, followed by an abrupt increase in momentum it flowed back to the arena and was s.u.c.k.e.d into Mael's mouth.
Chewing for a bit Mael showed a pondering expression. A second later he swallowed, devouring that huge amount of energy. The young man spat out a mouthful of blood as he did so.
He looked at Mael like he was seeing a ghost and howled
" Impossible! That's impossible!! "
" Nothings impossible. It was birthed from my blood, used your energy to grow and as long as it live it will consume my energy to grow stronger. But.....what if the opposite happens? "
Shocked!
The young man truly felt shocked. He spewed out another mouthful of blood and looked at Mael with red eyes. That monster contained his blood essence and energy. As long as it killed Mael he would be able to absorb it back into his body and grow stronger but even before he could do that this abomination infront of him devoured it whole!! How can he tolerate it!?
" Die!! Evil Sovereign Stab!! "
Under his rage the young man pounced at Mael. The dagger in his hands glowed with an eerie light. The air seemed to be corroded by this light.
Mael skillfully used his staff to block the attack. Using the other end of the staff Mael locked his arms and threw him far high into the sky.
Like a shell Mael launched himself towards the young man. The engravings on his staff glowed with power, the young man tried to stop his body but too much power was within that throw.
" Demon Monk Staff Arts.....Plane Destruction! "
Under his fearful eyes Mael's staff glowing with power became larger. Just as it was about to hit his head a huge voice rang through the stadium.
Mael felt as if his head was being pierced by thousands of needles. He lost his concentration for a second, the young man used this chance and tried to escape.
" I giv...
Before he could complete those words his vision went dark. The spectators watching the fight was stunned, under their shocked eyes Mael's staff busted the young man's head like popping a balloon.
" Bastard!! "
That huge voice echoed again. Mael felt as if a huge mountain was falling on his shoulders but this didn't last long.
" Blood Demon! What are you doing!? "
Another voice broke the silence. Mael watched as two men confronted far high in the air. One of them wore black clothes with a small Insignia of a Hellgate. The other wore blue with a green tree insignia on his cuffs.
" Hmph!! That kid must die!! "
" Hooh.....since when can you command me. This is a tournament, if he is prepared to kill others then he should be prepared to die! "
The air trembled from their mere presence. The space was starting to twist and break up, void wind started to pour out causing the sky to darken.
Mael was shocked. It wasn't easy to break open space, weaker realms would have weak space laws however a strong realm would have a firm and stable space. Otherwise how would it be able to accommodate such large amounts of Immortals. Their mere presence would crumble any weak world.
This is also the reason why Immortals can't descend into mortal worlds, that is Heavenly Law. Even if by some miracle they do, that world will crumble from their presence alone.
The destruction of a world by such a being will disrupt the heavenly laws and as a result chaos and destruction will be birthed. Once this happens the heavenly laws will punish the one responsible, unless they are a Divine being the end result only had one outcome, death.
Mael watched this with an indifferent expression. The young man however was smiling, he looked at the creature he summoned and said with a cold smile.
