Accident Prone

127 Luau - Hunter's birthday 1

~ Hawaii ~

In room 312…

Max got out of the shower and looked at Elizabeth curled up on the bed under the cover. She is in the same position as he left her, she didn't move a muscle. This time, he is confident that she is sleeping.

He climbed slowly on the bed next to Liz, careful not to wake her up. There is still time until dinner, and he will let her sleep. She needs it.

A smile crept on his handsome lips while thinking about all the expressions she showed him and all the sounds she made… she is beautiful.

He remembers with glee that after seven (or maybe eight) times she pleaded breathlessly: \"Max, please… I can't…\"

He enjoyed profusely the sight of her flushed cheeks and watery eyes which were unable to hold focus under half-closed lids, and he could not help himself from pushing her over the edge again...

\"Shhh… One more time… Come for me…\"

And she did.

Liz slept off shortly after, as soon as she pulled the cover over her and wrapped herself in it tightly like a burrito.

Max chuckled while wondering, did she really think how that is enough to prevent him from touching her again?

But he saw that she is exhausted, and he was on the verge of snapping, so it's time to stop.

He had to step away from her to cool off because he controlled himself on the sheer willpower to the point of agony.

After fifteen minutes of near-freezing under a cold shower, his heat didn't subside, and he had to use his hand to relieve the pressure.

Max trembled in his own release and wondered: when was the last time he had to help himself? In college, maybe? He does not remember, but he knows that it was a long time ago.

Back to present…

Now that he can see her peaceful sleeping face, Max knows that it was worth it.

His plan is solid. He will be there for Elizabeth in every way possible. He will pamper her and make her get used to him and depend on him all the way up to the point when she can't imagine her life without him. Yup. That will work.

Max pushed a strand of hair from Liz's forehead. As soon as his fingers touched her skin, Liz turned and snuggled next to Max, without waking up. Eh, he is a bolster again, but he does not mind. He wants to be Elizabeth's everything, and that includes being her bolster pillow as well.

Sometime later…

Liz's eyes fluttered open slowly and she observed that she is holding onto Max who is wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and she is wrapped in a cover.

Images from earlier that afternoon flashed in her mind and her breath hitched.

This man next to her is a beast! Three, maybe four times was plenty. Why did he double it?

And just before the sensual tornado, she called him: 'nice'!

Now that she is clearheaded, Liz can't believe that she let him touch her everywhere. His finger went inside her!

If someone told her about all the tricks this man has up his sleeve, she would call that person a liar.

Her face was on fire and she was confident that she is blushing when she remembered how much noise she made and all the touching and rubbing and… the lustful way Max looked at her when he licked his fingers after.

All this is too embarrassing, and she does not know how to face him.

Liz got an idea: she will just pretend that she is sleeping. Yes. That will work. She will close her eyes and go back to sleep (eventually), and he will be hungry and go to dinner without her. That will give her until morning to come to terms that Max freaking Anderson is too dangerous to have around.

\"Did you have a good nap?\"

Max's husky voice startled her. How does he know that she is awake? From his angle, there is no way that he can see her face, and she is quite confident that she didn't move. Now what?

Max ran his hand through her hair. \"You should shower and get ready so that we are not late for dinner.\"

Liz grumbled in protest. \"I'm sleepy. Go without me.\"

\"I can help you wake up.\"

Based on his tone, Liz was sure that he is smiling. She slowly lifted her head to look at him, and sure… there it is… that smug smile directed at her.

What does he mean by help her wake up? He can't be thinking of touching her again, right? But there is no way that she will ask for clarification.

\"I'm tired. I don't think I can move much.\", Liz whined.

Max's smile stretched into a grin. \"That is not a problem. As a good boyfriend, I will help you shower. Let me carry you…\"

Max moved to scoop Liz in his arms and at the same time Liz scrambled out of the cover she was wrapped in, leaped off the bed and dashed to the bathroom.

\"No need. I can manage!\", she exclaimed before slamming the bathroom door shut behind her.

Max laughed. She didn't even cover herself up. The sight of naked Liz running to the bathroom is… priceless.

The only thing better would be if she was running toward him, but no rush... They will get there.

\"You are almost late!\", Hunter exclaimed when Liz and Max arrived for dinner at the beach.

\"'Almost' is the keyword.\", Max responded.

Liz observed a lovely setting of tables arranged in a semi-circle for their group, so that everyone gets a good view of the stage in front of them and on the left is a picture-perfect sunset over the ocean.

The area is closed off for other guests of the resort with colorful garlands made out of flowers and an opening with a sign 'Private party'.

The tables are decorated with tropical flower arrangements and surrounded with tiki-torches whose flames are dancing in an always-present pleasant breeze.

Looking at the people present, Liz confirmed that Max and she are the last ones to arrive.

Hunter is sitting at the peak of the arc made out of tables, with Mia on his right and Rina on his left followed by Jackson and Hunter's training buddies: Ashton, Jake, Derek and Mike.

On Mia's right there are two empty chairs (obviously for Max and Liz) and then… McKenzie, Oliver and Lewis.

Madeline and Nathan are at the separate table, a bit in the back, like they want to keep an eye on the youngsters and make sure they act properly.

Liz hesitated for a second when she saw that her options are reduced to sitting next to McKenzie or letting Max to sit next to that woman. Where should she sit? When thinking if she should spend few hours next to Mia or McKenzie, of course she will pick Mia. And this will be a good chance to observe how Max is acting around that pesky woman. But she wanted to confirm…

Liz glanced at Max and asked: \"You don't mind sitting next to McKenzie?\"

Max looked at Liz like he does not understand what she is talking about. \"Next to who?\"

Liz gave Max an approving nod. Of course, McKenzie is not relevant and Max's response told her that he does not have eyes for McKenzie.

Liz was happy that Jackson is on the other side of Hunter, so she will avoid a situation where she needs to talk to him in order for others not to notice that something is off. There are three people in-between her and Jackson, so she is perfectly fine to ignore him.

\"You are glowing…\", Mia teased when Liz settled on a chair next to her.

Liz shoot a warning glare at Mia before turning to the stage where five hula dancers were swaying their hips and moving their arms in wave-like motions while following the light beat of the drums from the back.

Liz wondered, is she really glowing? Is her appearance different in some way? What is with that teasing smile Mia showed? Does Mia know what happened in the afternoon? Max is a beast!

Few seconds later, Liz realized that it is difficult to focus on anything because Max's arm is around the back of her chair, and his fingers are gliding over her bare shoulder and somehow… she remembered what those fingers did earlier that afternoon. Why did her breath became choppy? Is her body heat rising? Oh, God! She needs a drink. One of those cocktails with little umbrellas will do just fine.

Liz turned to Max and her lips curled into a smile subconsciously when she met his eyes and realized that even with five alluring women on the stage who are wearing short dresses and have their breasts covered with coconut halves, Max's attention is only on her.

She was lost in his deep blue eyes, unable to look away and she was confident that there is an invisible magnetic force pulling her toward him… craving to get closer and to feel his touch.

Liz wondered if this feeling of security mixed with anxiety is love… or maybe lust because she is having lewd thoughts. Liz took a mental note to talk to Mia later and ask her what the difference is.
