Jeffrey turned his face in regret at Willem's anger.

"That's what's best for Mary Rose! He understood right away."

"Shut up."

Geoffrey takes a breath because he's scared of Willem's temper.

Once he calmed down, Willem let go of his hand, which was holding Jeffrey's chest, and took a big breath.

... his way of thinking doesn't seem very compatible.

----Maybe I'm not for the nobles.

It remains a noble society to treat noble daughters as "tokens" and "objects" and to disregard their will.

I can't agree with Willem about the idea, but I understand in my head that it is such a thing. I have no intention of publicly criticizing the idea.

But... as far as Mary Rose was concerned, I couldn't allow her to be treated like Jeffrey and ignore her will.

I love her.

Speaking straight, Jeffrey watched with surprise.

"I don't know what you think, but I'm serious. I love Mary Rose herself, not Duchess Maxwell."

A smile, a weeping face, a slip of air for a while, and a desperate effort... everything attracts Willem.

"So I can't forgive anyone who tries to hurt her. I'm going to look at her family, and I'm going to match her, but I'm not going to match her, and I'm going to lose to you."

"No."

Jeffrey intercepted Willem's words halfway.

"The second thing you say is, I'm not trying to do anything because he's the Duke of Maxwell's daughter."

Jeffrey looks at Willem and says so.

From that gaze... it didn't seem like you were lying.

--This is... nasty.

Willem whispered in his heart.

Bertram told me that Jeffrey might have a distorted preference for Mary Rose, but apparently so.

But that's why Willem doesn't understand what he's doing.

"... that's not love. It's just a desire for domination. Are you going to hurt Mary Rose that much and still say it's love?"

"... shut up, what do you know?"

The incompatible two stared at each other.

If we keep talking, we'll just follow the parallel lines.

Willem and Jeffrey think fundamentally differently.

Then....

Willem never pulls himself out of his hand by sucking the Knight Guard's white gloves.

And I threw it at Jeffrey's feet.

"Pick it up. We should... settle this with a sword."

The knight threw gloves at the opponent as a duel offer.

Jeffrey glances at the gloves that fall at her feet and laughs hard.

"Hmm, just fine. I was hoping to beat you up unusually once. If the Goddess of Victory smiles at me... give me a minute to get away from Mary Rose."

Jeffrey picked up Willem's gloves.

This means acceptance of the duel.

"It's better to settle quickly. Come back here tomorrow at midnight at a different time."

Specifying the time and place, Willem walked away from Jeffrey.

Fighting without the permission of the Knights of the Kinsai is a lawful battle, but what if they don't find out?

--I 'm definitely not gonna lose...

Willem can't lose here for the future with Mary Rose or for not giving her to a man like Jeffrey.

--No, I can't lose.

Willem is the knight of Mary Rose.

If we're going to fight for her... we just have to think about winning.
