Calin felt a complex of emotion from what Shin said, is he talking about the woman in the picture? she's his girlfriend?! but why is Shin hiding her?

Calin clenched her fist tightly, the fact that Shin's hiding her means she's not good enough for the Keir family!

"What is going on here?" mr.wang's voice could be heard, following him is madam. Keir and Elli.

"Father..." Calin softly speak, tears welled up her eyes that any man would want to comfort her.

"Shin Keir what have you done!" madam Keir roared in fury, "you ungrateful bastard! not only you humiliate Calin but this...making her cry?!"

"I'm ok madam Keir, please don't blame Shin...it was just a misunderstanding." Calin said.

"stop defending him." mr. wang calmly spoke but one can tell his restraining his anger, "I can't believe the CEO that everyone respected and admire would deny responsibility after getting what he wants."

Madam Keir looked confused while Calin started to panic, she somehow understand what her father is hinting.

"Mr. Wang as an elder, shouldn't you be concise as well instead of being judgmental? how about you enlighten this respectable and admirable CEO." Shin spoke in an authoritative manner.

Mr. Wang snorted and indignantly speak."did you really think i don't know your relationship with my daughter?"

"Father-" Calin tried to interrupt but mr.wang is a prideful person and won't just let it go.

"elder madam. Keir, I agreed on this engagement since I initially thought my daughter will be happy with your grandson considering their already seeing each other, I turned a blind eye despite the news of them in a hotel-"

"Father!" Calin exclaimed, her forehead covered in cold sweat. She wanted to explain herself but Tristan beat her to it.

"Hotel? I can guarantee you mr. wang the gossip woman isn't your daughter at all and you didn't 'agreed', you proposed the engagement." Tristan snickered.

"This..." mr. Wang looked at Calin to confirm but Tristan's latter words made him upset and hurt his pride. "It doesn't matter! If the CEO has a girlfriend why didn't he reject the engagement or is it his intention to humiliate my daughter now that the matter about the engagement is known."

"reject? did i even agreed in the first place mr. wang? do i look like a pushover to you?" Shin asked with a subtle smile but the devil lurking within is visible in his eyes.

"enough of this!" madam. Keir interrupted and glared at Shin, this bastard is going to be the death of her!. "I decided on this engagement for your own good! don't you dare disrespect me!"

"Since you badly want her to be a part of the family then why not adopt her instead?" Shin retorted.

Madam Keir felt the veins on her forehead popping out, no one in the family down to the servants nor her friends would be this insolent towards her! within the clan, her words are law and no one dared to oppose her.

However, eversince Shin came into the family, she never have a moment of piece. Madam Keir's hatred for Shin isn't just the fact his the son of a mistress but since childhood, Shin never once tried to appease or suck-up to her just to gain footing within the family.

"Shin! don't go overboard, know your place!" Elli who remained quiet spoke out.

"Just because you are the CEO it doesn't mean you have the leverage, as long as im breathing, i will still be the head of the family!" madam Keir imposingly said.

Shin retained his indifferent expression, completely unaffected. He has long turned numb and way past the age of caring what the Keir family upholds.

"If you think being a CEO is a leverage then I'll gladly step down and let you manage." Shin emotionlessly replied.

"Why not? you have benefited enough considering your just..." Elli sneered, once he became the CEO the matter of Shin being a bastard will reveal itself.

"Goodluck then." Shin deadpanned and turned to leave.

"No! you can't leave yet! Shin!" Calin tried to follow Shin but her father stopped her.

"didn't you humiliate yourself enough?! we are leaving as well!"

"madam. Keir please stop Shin, I still need to talk to him" Calin pleaded.

Madam Keir who were in a daze after Shin's words decided to let the matter about the engagement rest for now and also convince Calin to discuss it some other time, if Shin would really give away the position as a CEO it would be the same as leaving the Keir household, he is nothing without it so she highly doubt Shin would give it so easily.

"mother do you think his serious?" elli asked when it's just the two of them left.

"there's no way that bastard would just step down without a fight...but i won't make it easy for him, we will push the engagement." madam Keir snorted.

Allister walked away unnoticed by the two people.

A couple of hours after she arrived home, Calin locked herself to her room and wreck her things to vent out all her frustrations and anger.

"Shin your mine! your mine! i will not give you up! we are destined to each other! you will love me! hahahaha!!!" Calin screamed.
