Ain't Your Regular Girlfriend

I was relieved when Byg finally carried her bag and left the room followed by Clara. Leaving Steven whose eyes were totally fixed on his phone and I alone in the room.

"Hey". I say softly, he looked up then looked back at his phone. "Hi". He finally said.

"May I?".

"Yeah". He said and kept quiet, still looking at his phone making me realize how much I hate awkward silences but I just kept my pace.

Minutes passed and we were still in the same position, still not talking. I started to tap my feet impatiently.

"Could you please, stop?" He said, which doesn't sound polite.

"Seriously?". I ask letting impatience get hold of me. "Seriously Steven, you're just gonna ignore me for God knows what". I say waving my hand in the air.

"God knows what, ha!". He mocks. "You obviously knows the what, Lara".

"No, I don't". I say and got up from where I sit, ready to lash everything on Steven. He's been cold after the kiss in front of Michael whom I can't get myself to call teacher.

"Yeah, you did. No? You don't?... You obviously did know the 'God knows what'. He dropped his phone angrily on the desk and started to pace." Cool... You don't know... Cool, the damsel doesn't know the 'God knows what". He said, repeating each word over and over again.

" Don't say that to me! ". I yell and walked in front of him.

"Oh, okay". He said in submissive and carried his backpack.

"We are still talking Steven, don't walk out on me!". I yell angrily and he stopped. Walking back to me.

"Okay, but better start explaining what that kiss was for".

"What kiss?. I ask puzzled.

" The kiss... Oh, you've forgotten, huh? I am not a fool Lara, you never wanted to kiss me until you bumped into that dude! ". He said, his voice harsh.

"The kiss has nothing to do with anyone. I kissed you because I wanted to kiss you, Steven". I say meekly. Why in the world am I explaining myself to Steven when I wanted to end things between us. Maybe I don't want things to end in a bad way.

"What about the looks? Huh? The look between you two during the introduction, Lara is he one of your dudes, is he the reason why you didn't want us to be a real" us" he asks and I find myself speechless, I couldn't find the right words to defend myself in front of Steven, who is madly mad right now.

"Everything alright?". The dude, Chris was just talking about asked and I find myself cursing the moment he asked that.

"Guess I'm right". Steve said and angrily dashed out of the room forgetting his phone on the desk.

I picked the phone from the desk ignoring Micheal's questionable looks and running after Steven who just disappeared all of a sudden.

I hit my chest trying to form a smile. Telling myself that I don't want my already ruined day to be hell. I sigh and walked to my car.

"Who said so?". I ask and start the ignition. "Let's go refresh as ever not even Steven or any dick head will ruin our refreshing hour". I smile and could see Clara's puzzled face.
