Ain't Your Regular Girlfriend

"Could you please stop yelling at me! Steven... Please, l know I screwed up... I know I shouldn't have done what I did but you left me no choice! I was bored by everything and-and... I didn't intend for this to happen I -I". Before I knew it, Steven pulled me to him, his embrace warming and comforting.

I just hushed and dwell in the embrace not wanting to let go. Holding him tightly. I released a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"I'm sorry for not coming on time". He said softly. Lightly tapping me on the back.

"You weren't there". I said and felt him shift. "Where you?" I asked and watch as he slowly pulled away from the embrace. "You were there?"

"Yeah, I was... I saw you when you walked in... I.. I was so mad. But I regret not going to you, If I'd walk up to you from the beginning this wouldn't have happened... You wouldn't have rocked him". He said sadly. And waited for my response which didn't come. "You think it was easy for me to sit still and watch you rock the dude... I couldn't hold myself  the moment I saw the discomfort on your face when you two suddenly left  so I decided to follow up with you guys."

"Oh". Escaped me as I was totally speechless and puzzled by his sudden softness. Though Steven has always been sweet but I didn't expect his softness today but the thing I didn't like was this 'sympathy'. "Hey!". I shove him on the stomach.

"Hey?". What would you have done if I hadn't shown up?".

"Guess, I knew you'd showed up". I shrug.
