"Here". I tossed the book on Clara.

"Wow! Thanks! How did you get this Lara? ". Clara asked, excitedly.

" Michael gave it to me ". I said and carried my bag." You through? ".

Clara looked at me surprised, still happy about the book" Where are we going? ". She asked and quickly rises on her feet.

I stopped what I was doing and glanced over at Steven and Christy who has been glued together since today." To the café ".

" It isn't break period ".

" I know! ". I sigh." I can't stay here... Need some air". I said softly and pulled my backpack over my shoulders. " You going?".

"Yeah, a sec, please. ".

"k," I said fighting the urge of not going over to Steve. Walking nervously, I finally ended up walking over there. He was sitting with christy resting on him while his seatmate was sitting at the back arguing with Thompson, Nathan, and others.

" I-I wanna talk with you".

"Me?". Thompson laughed loudly and rolled his tongue.

"Steven... I want to talk to you ". I said ignoring the sudden attention from everyone, eyes roaming all over me.

"He's busy with... me". Christy giggled and hold Steve more tightly than before. "Now, you can fuck off". She shrieks. Her mood faded as Steve lifted her arms off him and walked to me.

We quietly walked out of the class to the corridor without uttering words to each other. "Are you mad at me?" I asked though I knew that wasn't the right thing to say it's pretty clear that he is, otherwise he wouldn't be messing with christy. "I get it Steve but I...I ".

"You?" he said softly. His voice sad, I could feel his hurting through his small voice, his anguished all because of our night at the club.

"Nothing just wanted to give you this". I said handing him the bracelet he got for me when we started hanging out.

"Keep it, I don't need". He said walking back.

I hurried after him. " Are you going... Um, camping stuff?".

" Yeah"

" With Christy?". He nods and walked away.

"Hey". Clara said to him and he returned it with a smile. "Hi, Clara".

"What's wrong?... " Clara asked softly. "Hey, you're making me cry". She said tearfully.

"Hey..., I'm fine... Okay, m not!... It's just stuff with Steven... It ain't going cool". I said softly and Clara pulled me in a hug.

"I'm here for you".
