669 Arlo getting attacked

Sky collected the satellite device number from Arlo and sent it to Jai's number if in case he reaches home when they were in the forest. She went through the map with all after reaching the destination. There weren't many hills and dunes. They would get many streams joining the river. Forest was too big and there were nearly fifty including them. Twenty had already entered the forest, rest would start next.

It was autumn and everyone got a warm jacket supply. There were animals like elephants, Rhinosoreous, fox, deer, Snakes which would be found in initial stages. Later stages had tigers, bear with other animals. The tranquilizer shots were arranged and Sky had taken some in the backpack even though others stopped her.

Arlo and Sam stayed next to Sky as a few protected them from behind. Sky was at a fast pace initially looking around. But Arlo and Sam stopped her and asked her to maintain a medium pace so that she should have energy in the emergency.

Sky understood and slowed down. The success rate was decreasing as they continued because they found nothing like a clue but they kept going.

After two hours of their entry, they saw elephants on the ground due to tranquilizers given by the first group. As they continued, they found a stream that Jimmy kept the follow-ups of their location on the map.

When Arlo and Sam saw snake nearby, they thought Sky would get scared and about to stop it, Sky used the walking stick in her hand and threw the snake to water with poker face clenching teeth.

Sam saw her hold on the cane which made her knuckles turn white as paper. Arlo saw her tremble but seeing her walking ahead with determination to find Jai, his admiration reached its peak.

Even after three hours, they didn't find any clue but nobody dared to say any negative to her. Arlo's bodyguard who had the satellite device received a message and all turned to him.

He wasn't sure he should say it out or not hence he passed it to Arlo. The latter read it and spoke, "Five bodies found. They were shot dead."

All turned to Sky who was standing expressionless. The latter remained optimistic, "Who?"

They waited for a few more seconds before receiving the next message. Arlo sighed and said, "Arsonists."

All sighed, Sky turned around and walked, "Sam, does that mean a team was here to kill them?"

"Yes!" Sam replied. Soon they reached the place where five bodies were present. Few men started investigating in the scene. A man confirmed, "They are dead a day before or early yesterday."

"Sniper shots."

As Arlo's people continued, Sam and others were checking around and after seeing the body position, they went some distance and checked the scenes.

Jimmy came to her and showed a long chain, "Does this belongs to Jai Barton or anybody from their group?"

Sky took her chain and she knew it didn't belong to Jai. She tried to remember what other four of his teammates were wearing when they came to save her from the kidnappers.

Sky shook her head, "This doesn't belong to Brother Jai and I don't remember anybody wearing this type chain."

They found nothing to prove Jai or his teammates were present in the forest. It was already half past six and it was almost dark. Sky wanted to continue but they persuaded her that they couldn't search in dark and would miss clues and all trekked the nearest hill to rest till dawn.

They had energy bars and other light food which all had. Sky didn't know the other team had continued to search. Even though there was a sleeping bag, Sky didn't leave Arlo and slept next to him for only a few hours before waking up hearing vibration.

As soon as Arlo sensed, he coaxed her again and looked towards his bodyguard whose satellite receiver had third time buzzed when Sky slept.

Arlo had told him to put the device on silent and got to know there were no such options hence they had removed the sound creating part of the device.

First, they had received the message that they had found one body who was dead due to a heavy stone was thrown at him. By the attire, they identified him as an arsonist.

Second, they had received a message that they had found one body who was dead due to an elephant attack on him. He was in complete black outfit and he doesn't seem like an arsonist. They couldn't identify whether the body belongs to Jai or somebody as the face was completely ruined.

Excluding Sky, nobody could tell if that body belongs to Jai or not. Only Arlo and Sam knew about it in them excluding bodyguards. Those two racked their brain thinking how to tell Sky.

During that time they received another message which had they found another body who was in black attire. His face couldn't be identified due to tigers scratched completely. But according to the team, chances of that body belonging to Jai were low due to body mass and the structure was little different than in the picture of Jai. But they couldn't confirm a cent percent.

Arlo noticed her frowning and curling her body in sleep as her clutch tightened on his hand. He had half heart to wake her up and half heart to give rest to her body.

They weren't sure if black attired members belong to Jai's team or not because Arlo didn't care much when he had seen them in the underground shed where Sky stayed after kidnap because that time, excluding Sky, he didn't care about anybody.

Sky again woke up at four and refused to sleep. At half-past four, all started to descend and Sam reported one piece of news, "Sky, the other team found an arsonic's body, we don't have to take that path."

"Okay!" Sky nodded and got down from the tree branch instead of taking the slippery rock.

Sam and Arlo were looking at each other how to tell her next and both didn't notice the grass sound nearby. For an unknown reason, Sky turned to Arlo thinking he was trying to say something but he wasn't saying but she instantly shouted his name seeing him getting attacked, "Arlo..."
