American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#200 - Poaching, poaching

“Sky Eye Council!?”

Pierce smashed the tablet, his rage turning him as red and steamy as a boiled shrimp.

After the meeting, Pierce found the documents about the Sky Eye Council.

This thing that seemed to pop out of a crack in the wall was actually just a hypothetical idea jointly proposed by the Asian and European regions two days ago.

They believed that S.H.I.E.L.D., as a global intelligence agency, had too much power.

Their main responsibility was to keep an eye on S.H.I.E.L.D., and at critical moments, they could suspend S.H.I.E.L.D.'s command and directly take over the subordinate forces.

They even had the right to investigate within S.H.I.E.L.D.

Of course, all of this power was under the supervision of the World Security Council.

Each operation, in addition to submitting a report in advance, also required the signatures of at least two Council members.

In short, it was a large cage prepared by the World Security Council for S.H.I.E.L.D.

It contained S.H.I.E.L.D.'s excessively inflated power.

“Damn it! Why did a Sky Eye Council have to appear! Why at this time of all times?”

Pierce was going crazy.

Hydra had been lurking for decades, and just as it was about to see the light of day again, this suddenly popped up.

He had contacted the inside line within the Council through an encrypted line.

He unexpectedly discovered that not only in the Asian and European regions, but also in North and South America and Australia, there were calls for a Sky Eye Council.

He didn't know where it started, but it spread to all countries in an instant.

Most officials believed that strengthening the supervision of S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't seem like a bad thing.

And some countries purely wanted to make things difficult for S.H.I.E.L.D.

After all, after obtaining global law enforcement power, they had offended many high-ranking figures in some countries.

Coupled with the natural unpopularity of intelligence agencies, this proposal unexpectedly gained the support of most people in a short period of time.

The call was so high that the members of the World Security Council had to seriously consider it.

Pierce could accept all of this.

As long as he had time, the so-called Sky Eye Council was not worth mentioning in front of Hydra.

However, what he lacked most now was time.

The Sky Eye Council was eyeing them covetously, and it was clear that they were targeting Project Insight.

This plan was of great significance to Hydra and must not be lost!

“Damn it! Mike Qi? Where did this bastard come from!”

Pierce was even angrier when he discovered that the candidate for Director was someone he didn't recognize.

Looking at the young face in the character photo, he finally had a bad premonition.

The plan had to be accelerated!

At this moment, a knock sounded on the door.

Captain America walked in.

Pierce's anger quickly disappeared, and a smile appeared: “Captain! Welcome!”

Inside the MM Water Industry Building, people were coming and going, bustling with activity.

Natasha, wearing a hood, walked unhurriedly into the corner, into the elevator marked "Under Maintenance, Temporarily Out of Service."

As the elevator doors slowly closed.

The lights in the elevator suddenly went out, and lines appeared on the surrounding walls, forming Natasha's body curves.

A scanning light flashed, and dim light lit up in the elevator.

Natasha raised her eyebrows, looking at the graphics on the wall and the various data next to them: “This is new! Who are you? Why do you have my activation code?”

A calm voice came from the elevator.

“Take it easy, Agent Natasha, we are not enemies.”

The elevator gently shook, and the numbers on the display on the side of the door jumped from the initial b0 to b30 almost instantly, and continued to rise at an extremely fast speed.

As the number jumped to one hundred, the elevator stopped.

The calm voice said: “The elevator door is about to open, please keep Agent Natasha emotionally stable.”

Natasha said: “My emotions have always been stable, if someone can tell me what the hell is going on!”

“Then let me tell you!”

The elevator door opened, and a familiar voice came in.

Natasha said in surprise: “Mike Qi? High Priest of the Black Order?”

Standing in front of her was Qi Shan, whose standard attire had left a deep impression on her the first time they met.

Natasha walked out of the elevator.

“What is this place?”

“Well, it's kind of a base, with some laboratories and some training grounds. Although it can't compare to S.H.I.E.L.D., we have our own characteristics here.”

“Oh? What is it?”

Qi Shan smiled: “You will know later! Agent Natasha, sorry for calling you by your first name, Russian surnames are really too tongue-twisting.”

“It's okay! Mike!”

Natasha replied unceremoniously, quickly observing the environment.

This should be a very deep underground base, with a very large area, almost endless at a glance. Large chariots and fighter jets with obvious sci-fi shapes can be seen everywhere. Not far away, teams of strong men walked by, fully armed, with uniform movements, obviously rare elite soldiers.

Without a doubt, this was a secret military base.

“Who exactly are you?” Natasha asked directly.

Qi Shan smiled and raised his hand to throw her a badge.

Unlike the S.H.I.E.L.D. flying eagle pattern, there was only a triangular eye shining brightly on it.

If you didn't pay attention, you might mistake it for a triangular flashlight.

Natasha played with it in her hand and pressed the center button, and a light screen shot out.

A large number of documents and government agency filings kept appearing. Each dispatch order and authorization document from the World Security Council represented that the organization in front of her really existed.

“Sky Eye Council? A secret organization dedicated to supervising and auditing S.H.I.E.L.D.'s actions? You guys are hidden deep enough, S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't notice it at all.”

Qi Shan smiled: “It would be strange if they could notice it. The Sky Eye Council was officially established less than two hours ago!”

“Take these…” Natasha pointed to the planes, tanks, and large number of soldiers not far away.

“You know, I have special transportation channels!”

Qi Shan snapped his fingers, and a tiny black cavity flashed away.

Natasha understood.

“The Sky Eye Council has just been established and needs some achievements to make a name for itself and gain the trust of the World Security Council. It just so happens that there is a good opportunity now. Problems have arisen within S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Sky Eye Council can justifiably intervene.

Agent Natasha, I know you have many doubts about Nick Fury's death, but your current situation is not good. S.H.I.E.L.D. is no longer your help, but your obstacle. I think you need our support!”

Natasha nodded without hesitation: “What do you want?”

“Join the Sky Eye Council and become one of us! Before you retire, you must help us train at least three qualified agents. How about it, the conditions are not harsh, right?”

“Very reasonable!”

“Then, welcome to join!” Qi Shan laughed loudly.
