American Comics: BOSS Invasion
#306 - Imperial Equipment Eight Rooms II
Teigu: Yatsufusa, a weapon wielded by Kurome. It can reanimate any corpse, allowing them to exert 100% of their previous combat power and fight for their master.
This bug-like ability instantly elevated the petite Kurome into a powerhouse, second only to Esdeath.
With Mr. Stylish's death, the Jaegers, including Esdeath, were reduced to six members.
Their initial grandstanding was intended to attract more superpowered individuals.
However, only three have appeared so far, leaving Esdeath somewhat disappointed.
Kurome, on the other hand, was clearly intrigued by the Flash's extreme speed.
She was eager to discover the source of his power.
Standing on the shoulder of the Danger Beast, Kurome held her longsword, its tip emitting a faint black current that flowed towards the eight individuals around them.
This current was incredibly fast and subtle.
Yet, the Flash immediately noticed it.
"So, this girl is the key!"
Just as he was contemplating her interest in him, the Danger Beast's massive, bone-like claws began to rise, as if poised to strike.
The Flash attempted to generate a series of red lightning bolts and run along the Danger Beast's body to its shoulder, intending to abduct Kurome.
He aimed to end this senseless disaster with the simplest method.
However, the Flash had clearly miscalculated.
Kurome, born into an assassination squad, had spent her life surrounded by the dead, her days consumed by missions.
Slaughter had become commonplace, and her sensitivity to danger was almost instinctual.
They spoke simultaneously. Kurome's youthful face carried a hint of playfulness.
The Flash, however, looked grave, blood dripping from his right arm.
Kurome narrowed her eyes and said, "Don't you think asking these questions is pointless?
You know we can't possibly answer. Oh, and are you perhaps wondering about the giant that appeared in the suburbs a few days ago?"
The Flash was shocked. "You were responsible for that?"
"To be precise, one of our companions did it. We were simply trying to stop some bad guys from hijacking a prison carriage.
But then the police came and ruined our plans.
They killed one of our comrades!"
"So, you're here for revenge?"
Kurome smiled. "Don't make it sound so harsh. We're just killing a few people!"
The Flash's face hardened with determination. "Then I must stop you!"
He surrounded himself with lightning and charged forward in the blink of an eye.
Suddenly, a figure appeared out of nowhere, a black spear slamming down, sending the Flash flying.
The figure pressed the advantage, brandishing the spear, poised to impale the Flash.
The Flash, caught in the air with nowhere to dodge, was forced to enter super speed.
Quickly adjusting his posture, he tapped the black spear, shifting his body by a mere two inches, causing the spear to miss.
Landing on his feet, the Flash retreated a distance, his eyes warily fixed on the newcomer.
The sudden arrival was a man wearing a white trench coat and a mask.
He was tall and slender, with tousled blond hair fluttering in the wind. The black spear appeared incredibly heavy, yet in his hands, it was as light as a feather.
Attacks and defenses flowed effortlessly, thrusts, smashes, pokes, and parries, all executed with ease.
Most notably, his sky-blue pupils were completely unfocused, his gaze slow and lifeless.
Yet, his movements were precise and powerful, each technique honed through countless hours of training. How could this be…?
"You seem puzzled?"
Kurome said softly, "This is my ability! To reanimate the dead and turn them into loyal guardians. They retain their original consciousness while maintaining 100% of their combat power.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention, his name is Talia, and he was once my best friend!"
The Flash was stunned. Facing the oncoming black spear, he retreated dozens of steps.
"How could you…?"
"Naive!"
The Flash barely finished speaking before Kurome's expression darkened. "What do you know? Companions should always be together! It's because of the last failure that I haven't added my sister to the collection yet. Otherwise, we would already be reunited as a family!"
As she spoke, her face was filled with tenderness and longing.
Without a doubt, this was her most sincere desire.
But to the Flash, it sounded chilling.
"Magma Forged!"
In that moment of distraction, a low growl suddenly came from behind him, followed by a blast of magma heading straight for his face.
The Flash was about to use his speed to dodge when he slipped and fell backward.
As the magma was about to hit him, the Flash began to experience a flash of memories.
Suddenly, a shockwave appeared behind him, the slight explosion sending the Flash flying.
The magma projectile missed, arcing through the air and slamming into a low building on the corner.
Boom!
The projectile exploded, spewing out a large amount of magma, like molten iron poured over ice cream, instantly melting the low building.
The Flash spun several times in the air. As he looked up while on the wide shoulder blade, he saw Number Sixteen slowly retracting his palm.
Thanks, brother.
Now is not the time to thank him, the Flash said silently in his heart, as he got up again, his eyes fixed on Kurome.
Kurome looked at the sky, somewhat annoyed and said, "How dare you interfere with my battle, go to hell!"
The Super Danger Beast seemed to come alive, taking a deep breath. With a rumbling sound, a visible mass of energy gathered in front of the Danger Beast's giant maw.
Like a Tailed Beast Ball, a massive amount of energy was compressed into a sphere and fired directly at Number Sixteen.
Boom!
The violent shockwave blasted into the sky, the earth trembled violently, and cracks appeared on the cement ground, each one bottomless.
Water pipes burst, houses collapsed. The entire street was destroyed under the force of the reaction.
The common people who were hiding in the buildings, secretly watching the excitement, rushed out in a chaotic mess, like a hornet's nest had been blown apart.
The Flash's expression tightened, and he rushed down without hesitation.
"Wally, Jesse, Cisco, I need your help, we need to evacuate the crowd as soon as possible!"
Red lightning flashed continuously through the crowd, and in a blink of an eye, one or two people would appear directly in the safe zone at the end of the street.
Kurome blinked slightly, and one lightning bolt turned into three different colored lightning bolts.
Her eyes turned slightly, and for some unknown reason, she did not attack again, but instead focused on the battle in the sky.
