American comics: Starting from the Dimensional Demon
#117 - Arrived at the battlefield!
Crack!
Darkness fell, and the two were swallowed whole.
Peng!
A rocket soared from afar, detonating a massive hole in its neck.
Amidst a shower of flesh, Randy tumbled out, clutching the child.
Thump.
Leaping forward, Daredevil Matt embraced them, looking into their eyes as he spoke gravely.
"You must leave here now!"
Bang, bang, bang...
Natasha, leading several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, charged forward, surrounding the monster and unleashing a barrage of gunfire.
Jessica swooped down from the sky, slamming a powerful kick into its face.
Boom!
The ground cracked as Luke, with a roar, leaped high, wrapping his arms around the monster's head and yanking it savagely to the ground.
Bang—!
The Defenders had arrived.
Their assault was simple, direct, and brutally effective. The moment the monster's head was dragged down, a hail of rockets and grenades rained down upon its face.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Smoke billowed, Luke shielded himself, the force of the explosions sending him tumbling across the ground.
But with his thick hide, he shrugged off the damage, tearing off his tattered shirt as he rose to his feet as if nothing had happened.
Would it work?
The relentless bombardment ceased, and everyone held their breath, awaiting the outcome.
The dust cloud shrouded the area, obscuring the view.
One second, two seconds, three seconds...
Jessica hovered in the air, descending slowly, trying to get a clearer view.
The next moment.
The warning of his radar sense jolted Matt's nerves. His expression changed drastically, and he shouted urgently towards Jessica.
"Watch out!!"
Whoosh—
A black shadow pierced the smoke, lashing out like a giant whip, striking Jessica with brutal force.
Bang—!
Before she could react, Jessica's eyes bulged, and she coughed up a mouthful of blood. Her ribs shattered, and she was sent hurtling into the distance, smashing through the outer wall of a building before collapsing inside.
"Jessica—"
Luke roared and charged towards the monster, which, despite the dozens of bloody holes blasted into its body, seemed unfazed by Luke's approach.
Clenching his fists, summoning every ounce of strength, Luke stomped, creating a crater in the ground, and leaped into the air.
He would destroy this monster, he would…
"Aww~"
With a mere snap of its jaws, the black monster devoured Luke whole.

"Luke!!"
Losing two teammates in the blink of an eye, Matt lost his composure. He lunged forward, only to be stopped by Stick, who grabbed his arm.
"Don't panic... those two are not ordinary people. That kid Luke is impervious to blades and bullets; he won't die that easily!"
Seeing Matt's distress, Stick tried to reassure him.
"But…" Matt clenched his fist, wanting to say something more.
"Calm down!"
Gripping his shoulder, Stick's voice was unusually stern.
The battle didn't stop because of Matt's and Luke's actions; instead, it intensified.
Bang, bang, bang, bang!!!!!
Boom, boom, boom, boom!!!!!
"Roar—"
The black monster roared, wreaking havoc on everything around it—blood, screams, death, overturned vehicles, shattered earth, burning buildings...
Beep, beep, beep.
The walkie-talkie in Randy’s arms suddenly crackled to life. Matt pulled it out. It was Natasha's voice.
"Matt, we've found Jessica."
"How... how is she?"
"It's not too bad. Injuries that would kill an ordinary person are just serious wounds for her.
However, she is now unable to fight and must be taken to the hospital for surgery immediately..."
"Thank you, Natasha."
Click.
Hanging up the walkie-talkie, Matt looked towards the monster in front of him. In just a short while, its size had increased again.
"What do we do, Matt? Our attacks are too weak; we can't do anything to that monster!"
Frowning, Stick couldn't think of a way to deal with the monster. He was good with people, but dealing with a monster... it was too much.
Matt pondered for a moment, then raised his hand, pointing to the monster's abdomen.
"There, I can hear Luke's heartbeat. If we blow that up, Luke can get out!"
"I see!"
Carrying a rocket launcher, Frank strode forward from behind.
He had been responsible for the bombing earlier and had come down from upstairs to check on his two fallen comrades.
Without wasting words, he aimed the rocket launcher and fired.
At this moment, the monster was sweeping through the surrounding vehicles, finding and killing the hidden S.H.I.E.L.D. agents one by one.
Natasha directed the others to retreat while firing, using guerrilla tactics to delay the monster's progress and buy time for the evacuation of other civilians.
Whoosh!
A rocket flew from afar. This time, the monster finally learned its lesson. It grabbed a car and held it in front of itself. The rocket collided with the car with a bang, creating a huge burst of flame.
Lowering the rocket launcher, Frank frowned.
"Damn it, after this guy got wary, the threat of rockets dropped off a cliff..."
As soon as he finished speaking, four rockets were fired from nearby, one after another. It was Natasha's agents. After seeing Frank's attack, she immediately deduced his plan.
The four rockets were just cover. While the monster was frantically blocking them, Frank finally saw an opportunity. A rocket was about to hit the monster's abdomen!
"Good job, Frank..."
Matt's surprise was still on his face.
The next second.
Boom!
A black whip shadow lashed out in the air, and the rocket fired by Frank was blasted apart in mid-air!
Matt: "..."
Stick: "..."
Frank: "..."
Natasha: "..."
Waving eight long tentacles, the monster actually... spoke.
"Heh heh~ Foolish humans!"

......
Buzz, buzz, buzz...
800 meters in the air, a fighter jet hovered silently.
"Captain, we have arrived above the battlefield. Do you need any further instructions?"
The pilot turned his head and glanced behind him.
Have we arrived...?
His head slowly lifted, the tall man stood up silently from his seat. His back was broad, and his voice was deep, giving people a strong sense of security.
"No, just stay here."
Click.
Securing a round shield on his left arm, he stepped forward and opened the hatch. His sharp gaze crossed the 800-meter distance and landed on the battlefield below, a spark flickering on the fingertips of his right hand.
The next moment.
In the pilot's shocked gaze, without any safety landing equipment, the shield-wielding man jumped out of the hatch into the fierce wind.
