Chapter 24 - Air

The cold water hit me so fast it felt like needles to my skin.

I heard yelling, but I wasn't thinking about that at the moment.

I was trying to get to shore but the current was to strong. Along with the waves pulling me down I barely could get up for air.

It kept pulling me down.

I heard a splash, then everything went dark.

I could hear someone yelling my name yet my eyes would not open.

I couldn't move.

I couldn't speak.

All I could do is lay here lifeless.

Then the bright sun made way to me as I opened my eyes.

I spit the water out gagging for air.

Then I look beside me and it's that guy.

He's unconscious.

I check his pulse and there's barely a heartbeat.

"Oh no."

I muttered before preforming CPR.

"Come on. Wake up!"

Every push on his c.h.e.s.t, every single bit of air I give him. My guilty Conscience is eating me alive.

He saved me and here he is, dying.
