Ancient Eden

The man was facing her, it was the same young man who was in competition with Li Mang yesterday, and the woman, Mu Qing recognized from her back, was the young plump girl. She seemed a bit unwilling, she kept struggling and wriggling, the man kept whispering some words, and then finally managed to make her lie on the grass by the stream, with him pressing on top. Probably too preoccupied with their own affair, they did not hear the sound of her footsteps.

Mu Qing was startled. Her intuition told her that she couldn’t let the two people discover her, and under the panic, she didn’t look at them too much, and just squatted down on the side, behind high wild weeds that reached above her shoulders, and remained still.

She could see that the young plump girl was still a bit unwilling, but was unable to resist the offensive of the man. Very quickly, there were continuous “ah” and “mmh” sounds.

Mu Qing thought about whether to take this opportunity to quietly go around them, but she could not guarantee that by doing so she would not alert the couple. When he leaned down, about to pick up the bow and arrows on the stone, he suddenly spotted Mu Qing and emitted a low sound of surprise.

The young plump girl behind seemed somewhat impatient and yelled a few times “Yi Jia”.

Yesterday, when those people piled the stones in front of him and Li Mang, she also heard these two syllables, it was probably his name.

Yi Jia stared intensely at her, without uttering a word. Mu Qing started to feel a little panicked. She did not know what this man would do to her, this third party that had discovered his love affair with the chief’s daughter. She now regretted very much, why did she have to run to this place to take a bath?

The young plump girl was already walking towards them with some dissatisfaction.

There was a slight change on Yi Jia’s face. He quickly took the bow and arrows, and suddenly, he revealed a eerie smile to Mu Qing.

He then turned back to pull the young plump girl’s hand and then left towards one side of the forest. The two figures very quickly disappeared.

Mu Qing’s heart which was about to jump out of her chest just now finally calmed down. The voice shouting her name was gradually turning a little weaker, Youyou’s mother had probably changed direction and was now looking towards the deep forest to find her. She hurriedly stood up and shouted  in response in the direction of the source of the voice, while hurriedly walking towards the settlement.

She had only walked ten meters away, when a black shadow suddenly leapt out of the forest on her right side. Her arm was immediately tightly clutched, and she felt a sharp pain, like her arm was about to broken.
