"Brother Mu is currently in China so he has put both Sholana and Ella in our care"

"What?" Li Chen asked,now he knew something was really wrong.

"I thought he said he's never going back to China?" Su Chen couldn't help but ask, the guy didn't want to go back because of his father but now he actually went back?

"He was actually taken against his will"

"So....you're saying brother Mu has been kidnapped?"

"Not exactly" Bai Sheng sighed, the whole matter was already stressing him out.

"You remember he quit his father's..." Bai Sheng hesitated as he stared at Anna's face, should he say it?

"His father's.....company"

Both Duan brothers noticing Bai Sheng's unsettled expression, they thought the same thing and immediately disapproved.

'Does he think Anna is a spy?' of course they couldn't voice their thoughts out and could only nod and stay quiet.

No matter how hard Bai Sheng tried, he couldn't bring himself to say everything in front of Anna. He couldn't help but feel that she might be put in danger because of him.

"Well, his father sent men to bring him back and used Shola's and Ella's life to threaten him" Bai Sheng massaged his aching temples, he had no idea what kind of monsters Brother Mu's father train over there.

He always thought that he was close to unbeatable but after yesterday...

"So he had no choice but to go with them?" Li Chen said as he sighed, he knew that the only thing that man cared about the most was his family. That was why they used his family against him.

"But the Lu Mu Chen I know, would definitely not go down without a fight" Su Chen added, if both Lu Mu Chen and Bay Sheng were overpowered, that means that his father is more dangerous than they thought. Just how strong was that man?

"His surname is Lu?" Anna found it interesting that she shared a surname with this brother Mu.

"Yes, you know Lu is a common name."

Anna nodded, what Su Chen said made sense. Although her imagination was already going wild.

"Brother Mu already made me promise to take care of his wife and child and make sure they are safe, so that's why I brought them to base"

After hearing everything Bai Sheng said, Anna couldn't help but feel bad for Shola.

'It must have been hard for her to watch her husband being taken away and yet, she is still smiling so brightly' Anna's heart felt more heavy when she thought of the little girl. Will there be a chance for Ella to meet her father again?

"Its good you guys came here this morning because I was just about to leave" Bai Sheng said as he wore the jacket he had been holding for a while now.

"Leave?. Where are you going?" Su Chen asked trying to clean the traces of Ella's ice cream on him, although it only made things worse.

"I'm going to go get brother Mu" Bai Sheng said calmly.

Li Chen's eyes widened as he stared at him, he walked towards Bai Sheng to block his way

"Bai Sheng are you crazy? You're planning to go there alone?. Have you seen your face?, I am sure you're hurt in other places as well. I am not letting you go anywhere" Li Chen said firmly, Bai Sheng was always used to doing things on his own no matter how dangerous it was. It was like he always forgot that he had friends by his side.

"Su Chen and I will go"

"Eh?" Su Chen looked up confused, he could have sworn he just heard his name.

"There is no need for that" Bai Sheng smiled, of course he knew the dangers of going there alone but he owed too much to Brother Mu to let him face whatever he was going through alone.

"Isn't there any other way?" Anna finally spoke up, seeing these bruises on his face was already enough for her to get terribly worried but now, he is actually planning to go all the way to China on his own. She just couldn't allow it.

"Unfortunately, I can't put any of you at risk. We don't know what is waiting there in China and...as your teacher, it is my duty to protect you"

"Really? it does not matter what you say, we're still coming" Li Chen said again, this time not leaving room for argument.

"If you come with me, who will protect Shola and Ella?"

"Mason can do that" Su Chen quickly said

"I don't trust Mason with something as important as this" Bai Sheng said, he already made up his mind that he would go alone! he wasn't going to put anyone else in danger.

Anna clenched her fists tightly, she hated the fact that she was weak, she could not suggest going with him because she would only end up being a burden, she felt extremely useless at the moment.

"I am leaving Shola and Ella in your care Li Chen, Su Chen. Anna....." Bai Sheng looked at Anna, there was fear in her eyes, was she scared he would get hurt?

His lips curled up as he patted her head "And you.....make sure you focus on recovering, do as Jason asks. Ok?"

Anna struggled to nod, she couldn't say a word. What could she say?, I want to come with you?

What could she do?.....

Bai Sheng looked at the Duan brothers and nodded at them "If anything comes up, I will be sure to inform you and make sure you do the same as well" Bai Sheng instructed before walking out.

"That idiot! he knows I'm a year older than him yet he uses the teacher card against me" Su Chen said frustrated.

"Why won't he just forget about the past and accept someone's help? at least for once in his life!" Li Chen stared at Anna Anna and realised she was staring at an empty space, seemingly deep in thought.
