Another chance with you

It's been a couple of months since Henry's car accident. All this time he didn't wanted to see no one. His parents tried to convince him to have the surgery, with no avail. Luckily they convinced him to let someone to come cook and clean the house for him. He was used to the quietness by now, so when he heard the loud noises next door, he went outside with the help of his walking stick and using as a landmark the loud noise to ask the people who made the noise what is happening.

The workers told him that someone will move in tomorrow and they are just moving the furniture inside the house. Angry that he can't do nothing about the noise he went back to the house, used his headphones so he can stop hearing the noise.

The next day

Henry heard a knock on his door. He didn't wanted to open to anyone, but seeing that who ever was still knocking he had no other chance that to go and open the door.

- Who is it? Asked Henry as he opened the door.

- Hi. I'm your new neighbor, Louise. Said a woman in a french accent. I just moved in next door today, and I wanted to say hi to my neighbors. I hope I didn't disturbed you.

- Hi. I'm Henry, and as you can see I'm blind. So please don't fell sorry for me.

- Don't worry, I'm not felling sorry.

- I brought you some food that I made. Hope you will like it.

- Thank you.

- You're welcome. Can you show me where the kitchen is so that I can leave the food containers on the table?

- Sure, just turn right and there it is.

- Oh. How come? Because I'm blind?

- No. Because I'm pregnant. Said Louise laughing.

- Bye, Henry.

- Bye, Louise. Thank you again for the food.
