Aoba Office

Chapter 1449 Good Luck

I briefly introduced the abilities of myself and Slim Man. Even if I want to go into details, I can’t. We ourselves were not given instructions that explained our capabilities.

Nan Tian listened quietly and made an OK gesture to show that he understood.

"In other words, we are useless now. There is no trump card, and there is no good way to get us out." Nan Tian nodded.

The three of us looked at each other in silence.

"It's better to find Liu Miao first." I sighed.

I was originally looking for Liu Miao. Now I have no clue, I don't know how to get out of here, so I can only do this first.

We don't know where Liu Miao is. Instead of looking for Liu Miao, we should look for a living person.

Although encountering a living person could mean danger.

We chose a random direction along the road in front of us and walked around the community wall.

The fence of the community is in the shape of iron railings, and many plants are planted against the fence. These plants are all in good condition and growing luxuriantly, but they are not messy, unlike the wildly growing plants in Guangyuan Mountain.

Because these plants block the view, what I can see most clearly is the balcony on the second floor of the community.

No blood or broken glass was seen.

It seemed that all the people in the city disappeared in an instant, and the entire city was preserved.

We walked for a while and when we reached the intersection, we still didn't see the car.

The road in front of you extends to both ends. Looking to the right, you can see another intersection. The road ends in an arc, and the end is blocked by a building. Looking to the left, there is an endless road, giving people a strange feeling.

"Like the sea horizon." Nantian commented.

If it were the horizon, there would be no end.

No, the sea still has an end. There may be really no end here, or there may be something blocking it.

I don't want to risk it yet and explore the edge of this alien space.

There are express bills flying on the road.

The wind was not strong, so most of the express orders were lying on the ground.

"What's going on with these express delivery orders?" Nan Tian asked.

I shook my head.

This strange sight does not bode well.

We naturally chose the road on the right and continued forward without crossing the road.

There is also a community across the road. There are shops along the street, but the rolling shutters are closed and no shops are open.

The traffic lights went out and turned into decorations.

It seems we were right. There's a real power outage here.

Continuing to walk along the community wall, we finally saw the gate of the community.

There was no one in the guard room, and the community was quiet.

"No car." Nan Tian spoke first and revealed his findings.

There are parking lines in the community, but there is not a single car.

We went into the community and looked for it.

There are large iron gates on the ground floor of residential buildings that cannot be opened. Nan Tian rang the doorbell again and again, but there was no sound. It seems the battery is out of power.

Some of the windows of residents on the first floor had their curtains drawn, while others were completely open.

We climbed into a house and found that it was clean inside. Not only are the floors and furniture very clean, but the kitchen and refrigerator are also very clean.

The food is gone.

The thin man turned on the faucet and tried it, but there was no water.

Without water or electricity, this is the worst possible situation.

Nan Tian skillfully rummaged through the boxes and found the family's real estate certificate and household registration book.

The owners here should be a newlywed couple with no children. The wedding photos of the couple hang in the bedroom, and there are also photos on the wall in the living room. It is a house with two bedrooms and one living room, and the other room is a study. The laptop is on the table and cannot be opened at all.

"The passbook is still there." Nan Tian shook a transparent file bag in his hand.

Passbooks, bank cards, and documents such as loan contracts are all stuffed inside.

"No cash." The thin man added.

"I don't have a mobile phone either. But the charger is left here." I picked up the mobile phone charger on the study table.

We were baffled by what was left and what was missing from the house.

We turned over a few more houses.

Nan Tian suddenly said: "This is a bit like an RPG puzzle game."

"Big star, you have such a good attitude." The thin man praised.

"If you have a bad mentality, how can you face those black men?" Nan Tian replied sincerely.

Thinking about Nan Tian's background and experience, you can probably guess how this well-fed young man grew up. Perhaps the biggest setback in his life is being scolded online and his brother who doesn't communicate well with him and always wants to drive him away.

"Hey, I don't even have an ID card." Nan Tian threw away the dead mobile phone in his hand.

"Maybe we didn't find it," said the thin man.

"Barely the clothes were taken away. No one packed their luggage. The cash and food were all gone."

"The clothes were taken away, too. With the wardrobe like this, it's hard to tell whether they took anything away."

"The suitcases are definitely useless." Nan Tian pointed to the suitcase stuffed above the cabinet.

"So, what conclusion did you draw?" I asked.

"It's just weird." Nan Tian shook his head.

After we found a few, we took a break.

The thin man lay on the sofa in this house and exhaled.

Now I can confirm that moving here is physically taxing.

I don't know if this is good news.

I looked out the window.

The sun's position has changed.

In terms of time, the time here and in the real world should be the same. It was around ten o'clock in the morning when we came in, and now it's one forty.

Our phones and watches still work. In order to save electricity, I left one of the three mobile phones turned on, hoping that a miracle would happen and receive calls from the real world.

"So hungry..." the thin man muttered.

"All the food here must have been eaten. I wonder if anyone has survived. Did they farm?"

"How do you farm in an urban area like this? Does anyone know how to do it?"

"You can always tinker with something. Aren't there schools? There are biology majors and agriculture majors..." Nan Tian also lay on the sofa.

"Let's go after you've rested enough. We have to find someone as soon as possible." I said.

Only when you find people can you find food.

I thought about the situation in front of me, feeling heavy and feeling ridiculous.

Didn’t I die at the hands of ghosts, but by starvation?

In modern society, if you live in a rich country and starve to death... this can be considered a supernatural event.

I want to pray to God right now. I hope it can implement its policy in a down-to-earth manner. Let me die as my destiny dictates.

At least if you see a ghost, you can still ask it about the situation. Maybe you can enter a dream and know directly what is happening here.

We left the house through the window, left the community, and continued moving forward.

Nan Tian made a new discovery, "There are no cars or bicycles here."

"Yeah." The thin man and I said listlessly.

Not long after Nan Tian finished those words, we heard the ringing of bicycle bells.

Jingle bells, jingle bells…

A crisp ringing sound came from afar.

All three of us looked up.

Nan Tian said to himself: "I told you, I am very lucky."

We walked in the direction where the ringing sound came from.

As we turned the corner, we saw a girl riding a bicycle.

"Ouch!" The girl's body swayed and the car almost overturned.

She looked at Nan Tian in surprise, her eyes widened.

"Hi." Nan Tian smiled like a professional star.

"Ah! Nanshen!" the girl shouted.

The thin man and I were both shocked.

Nan Tian's smile didn't change, his lips didn't move very much, and he made a slight sound: "I just said you were very lucky."

Goodnight everybody. _(:3 ∠)_
