Arc of Gunfire

April summary

Let’s post the update screenshots first. When I write the summary, April ends in half an hour, and there’s no time to type out the next chapter.

In fact, my updates cannot be calculated according to natural days. I live a very free life. I basically sleep when I want to, and I can fall asleep lying down like a pig. I never have insomnia.

You can calculate it like this. A long break of more than eight hours is mainly a long break for sleeping and eating. The short break of about three hours in the middle is a nap and a meal.

There must have been two normal updates between my two long breaks, plus various additional updates.

For example, right now, you know that I took a long break around five o'clock this morning (referring to the 30th), then started typing, and took a short break after the afternoon update. There will be a normal update in the evening.

There will be one normal update and one supplementary update before the next long break.

After explaining my update rules, here’s the picture above!

It is not as popular as last month, mainly because there is no monthly ticket reward and there is no pressure to update.

In addition, I took the time to recharge this month. There were so many updates last month that it took me just one month to finish reading the first part of Grantz's "Pingalo Trilogy". Updates take up a lot of time, causing my reading efficiency to drop.

April was much better. I had time to read "The Clay-Footed Giant" also written by Glantz, and learned about the crotch stretching of the Soviet army before the war.

Let’s talk about the first part of this trilogy that I read last month.

This part talks about the period from April 1942 to August 42, that is, the battles before Pinangrad in places such as Hufu and the famous city of Tongliao, Rostock, as well as on the Don River Plain.

There are many highlights in this battle, such as the "excellent performance" of one of the three hearses, and Sandoku's triumphant advance on the grassland. At this time, it seems that Sandoku can indeed win.

This is also the main content of the next volume.

The protagonist wants to put the 100mm gun carrier developed by himself into the battle, and the elite division with strong support will also suffer a little here.

As for whether I will be involved in the fierce competition for Pinangler in the future, this is what I think.

In fact, most of the Battle of Piingrad was not fought in the city. I have only read the first part of Grant's Piingrad trilogy, but I have read a lot of the ones written by others before.

Most of the battles in Pinangrad were not fought in the city, but the film and television works and games related to this historical event were all placed in the city.

Think about it, at that time, the main defenders of the city were the 62nd Army. This army group was much weaker than Paulus's Sixth Army. If the entire Sixth Army was pressed up, even if the battle damage was ugly, the urban area would be replaced.

And there are a lot of tanks in episode six, but tanks are not suitable for urban combat.

Where did the tank go?

Fighting against Soviet tanks on the plain outside the city.

In fact, there was only a small part of the urban combat in Pinangrad. Most of the hundreds of thousands of people in the six episodes were arrayed on the plains outside along the Valdaichu River.

Then for some reason, Chuikov directed 6 out of 62 episodes... It should all be the fault of marketing accounts.

Therefore, in the next volume, Wang Zhong should lead his 100,000 men to fight Paulus' 300,000 men on the plains, and then let Kashuch go to defend the city and grind meat.

Ah, this is too far away, it should be a story in June.

Now, everyone can see that this volume is mainly about the protagonist establishing his prestige in the army. The protagonist will command the front army in the future. He must have division commanders and corps commanders under him. There are not enough characters who have appeared now.

So I will try to expand the characters as much as possible. This is what I originally thought, but it turns out that I am beginning to be path dependent. It is the battlefield knowledge and sensationalism that I am good at. If you look carefully, the new people who appear are all Allied military officers. They are also You can't be the division commander or army commander.

It seemed that only Lieutenant Colonel Donald of the Volunteer Flying Corps could die - no, he could be used.

There should be more people appearing in this volume, mainly familiar faces.

Now everyone is familiar with characters like Egorov, especially Egorov. I feel that there is enough foreshadowing.

But I haven't decided yet, maybe I will live until the war. I code words to see where my inspiration comes from.

Loktov's volume about the dead Alyosha actually came to mind when I was listening to a song called "Alyosha". There is a line in the lyrics: "Now he can no longer pick flowers, it is the girl who gives him flowers." , I was particularly touched.

Then let the girl die too.

For example, the deaths of Ivan and old Duke Rokosov were planned from the beginning, so there was a lot of foreshadowing.

In short, in this book if you see a person with a lot of "death signs", then he will die.

Except for the protagonist and those on the character list, everyone can reward the main character list, so it is not easy to let them die.

So those of you who want to create a new character should cheer, she won’t die.

Why her? Because male characters are supposed to fight and face death calmly, male characters will not get character cards. (I didn’t decide this because I tried several artists and all the characters they drew made people want to call him “Army Master”).

When I was writing the last volume, I relented and didn't let Vasily's father die, but now I realize that I missed the opportunity to let my old father die.

Vasily also lost the opportunity to grow, and his character and arc did not change at all. He became a mascot-like character, which I regret very much.

Don't look at what I am saying in a joking tone. In fact, the death of a character is a very serious matter that needs to be taken seriously. If his death does not make his character's arc more complete, it will not make other people's arcs more complete. Full, then this death is meaningless.

I am very disgusted with this senseless death.

For example, what is the significance of Yang Wen-li's death? Whose arc is fuller because of this?

Yes, I know about the deaths of Reinhard and Yang Wen-li, which makes the sentence "This year, Reinhard von Lohenkramm was twenty-one and Yang Wen-li was thirty. Both of them were in the future." More than in ages past” became art.

But is this enough?

On the contrary, Siegfried's death was great, it made Reinhardt's arc fuller, and one can't help but wonder if everything would have been different if Siegfried hadn't died.

So letting a character die is a very serious matter. First, you need to stand up the character, and then work hard to make the death meaningful.

This volume is mainly about existing characters, enriching the relationship network between them, so that at some point in the future, his departure can become meaningful in line with my aesthetics.

Here I would like to mention a book that I like very much recently, yes, it is "Xuan Jian Xian Clan". The passing of the first generation of the Lee family really dances on my aesthetic.

I also read Xuanjian Xianzu and realized that readers are no longer children and can accept the departure of some characters.

Thanks to the Xuanjian Clan and the Yueji people for writing such a wonderful work.

That's too far. Back to this book, this volume has just started. I am actually very worried that the data will drop seriously. But now it seems that I have worried too much. I have even upgraded it from 25,000 to 30,000, and I have subscribed all the time. From thirty thousand to forty thousand.

This ratio of follow-up and equal subscription shows that there is still room for growth.

The key point is that there is no war in this volume. There is no war in Chapter 40.

There should be about 20 chapters in this volume, mainly new characters appearing together, new equipment in place, and new divisions being formed. Then the next volume is the outpost battle in Pinangler. The protagonist wants to grab a Tiger and hold it as a treasure.

Yes, he wants to drive a Tiger, because I like Karius, and I even have a personally signed version of "Tiger in the Mud" brought by a friend who studied abroad.

Unexpectedly, the white tiger pose is Ant's tiger pose, haha.

By the way, I still owe one update after the March monthly pass. I should make up for this update and the remaining regular updates before the next long break.

I'm going to take a break in May. Anyway, I'm in the battle roll, so I don't have to worry about not having enough updates or losing follow-up reading, right? I write about those who are super strong in battles and those who chase more.

So in May there are only two updates per day for 6K.

The alliance leader will continue to add updates, because May is very busy, so the Silver Alliance will add ten updates. It’s unlikely that there will be a golden cute, so let’s discuss it again.

It is unlikely to add 100 updates, I will hang up, let me take a rest.

The leader's update is just to express my attitude. It does not mean that 1,000 yuan is worth an update. It is to express my determination to complete the book.

Well, I will continue typing. Oh, by the way, I will take leave as usual next time I take a long break. I will take a day off on the 1st. I just happened to finish reading Glantz's "The Rebirth of Giants" and learn more about the Soviet army in Barbaro. How did SA reorganize after its initial collapse?

Good night.
