Army of True Salvation

Chapter 105:If You Want Her, Come and Get Me

Shannara and Veon were walking by the flowers at the garden. She told him that she had something important to say so Veon agreed in accompanying her for a walk.

While they were having some small talk, Veon couldn't help but feel quite surprised by the thought that he met his childhood friend. It was a small world after all because Sheloah even knew her.

"Veon." Shannara said his name and it took his attention. Shannara's face reddened and she felt shy around him.

"I want to confess my feelings to you," Shannara directly said and this made Veon raise his brow at her.

"Didn't you confess your feelings to me back then," he asked and Shannara rolled her eyes at him.

Veon ruined the moment by remembering about the past. Because of that, Shannara hit his chest, making Veon flinch.

"Fine, I'm sorry," he said, now feeling awkward with this situation.

"Veon, I want to tell you that—"

The teenagers heard a glass break from afar and this made the two look at the direction of the sound. They saw one unknown man, running away with a girl in his arms. He swiftly rode the motorbike, with the girl tied to his waist for support.

Where did the man come from?

"Wait," Veon said, feeling that something felt suspicious. He ran inside the house, with Shannara following suit.

Everyone was at the lobby, obviously engaged in a heated conversation about the situation that had just transpired. Tyler suddenly approached Veon and Shannara.

"What happened," Veon asked Tyler and he answered.

"It seemed that someone infiltrated the place and had kidnapped someone. We don't know who, though."

The moment Veon heard this, he felt uneasy.

'Where's Sheloah?'

He started looking around the crowd. Veon knew that Sheloah would be with them in situations like this.

John, Dannie's father, suddenly appeared and everyone went quiet.

"We have to check whoever's not with us. Someone was abducted just now," he said and Veon felt goosebumps the moment he heard his voice.

"Where is Sheloah," Veon asked and everyone looked at him. Sheloah's family started to look worried when they noticed that Sheloah was nowhere to be seen.

Sheloah's mother broke through the crowd. "Where's my daughter," she asked and everyone looked around, now feeling anxious. This made Veon's body feel cold. His body started to tremble in fear, accompanied with anxiety.

"From what room did the glass break," Isobel asked and Dannie's father answered.

"If I'm not mistaken, it is from one of the rooms at the second floor."

The moment they heard this, Veon, together with Sheloah's family ran upstairs to check each room. They opened the rooms one by one and noticed that the farthest room was slightly opened. This made Veon's heart tighten.

Veon and Sheloah's family rushed inside the room and noticed that the bathroom door was opened. They looked inside and Sheloah's mother gasped the moment they saw how messy the place was.

There were glass shards on the floor and the water from the faucet was slightly running since it was not closed properly by Sheloah.

Veon examined the place and he noticed that there was a writing on the mirror with the use of a black marker. He even saw a polaroid photograph on the sink with a familiar person in it.

It was Sheloah lying on the floor, her eyes shut tight.

Veon's free hand turned into a fist and his body started trembling in anger.

"Oh… my daughter…" Sheloah's mother cried and Sheloah's uncle embraced her, comforting her.

Veon looked at the photo once more and noticed that there was a writing at the back.

"If you want her, come and get me. –K"

Veon crumpled the polaroid and it fell from his hand. Shannara looked at him, shocked to see how angry he was.

'Whoever you are, you're dead.'
