"To the right!"

Dannie shouted as they were on their way towards the apartment where Sheloah was held captive. They were using Veon's pick up car and beside him, was Dannie. At the back was Isobel, holding their first aid kit and at the trunk of the pick up was Shannara and Tyler, shooting down zombies on their way.

Veon had hit a zombie in front of him and it flew towards their car. The blood splattered on the glass, making everyone surprised.

"Shit!"

Everyone went out because Veon's car suddenly stopped moving.

"I don't have anymore gas!"

The others kept killing zombies as Veon assessed the situation of his car. They didn't expect his car to lose gas quickly.

"We don't have a choice," Dannie said as she was shooting zombies. "We need to go there by foot," she added and Veon sighed exasperatedly.

Shannara brought out her spare gun when she noticed that the zombie's population doubled—tripled. She started shooting the zombies with the two guns she had on hand and everyone was surprised and amazed to see how skilled she was. She was a dual wielder and a sharp shooter at that. For how long did she learn to do this? She even knew how to save her bullets!

Isobel was in the middle of everyone. They were protecting her. Veon was the lead, Dannie was at the right, and Tyler was at the left. Shannara was behind Isobel and they were all focused in killing the zombies within their sight. There was even the new species of zombies, the one that changes its head.

They find it easy to fight zombies now since they have gained a number of experiences. It was difficult for them before but because of this exposure and their battles, they learned a lot from them.

Veon took glances at Dannie because he did not expect her to be fighting the zombies well. If only she had helped in the previous attacks before… maybe Josh would've still lived.

"Guys, I see a house over there," Tyler informed them and they took a quick glance. There is a large gate in front of the house.

Veon accurately shot the four zombies in front of him and kicked them away so that Isobel could run properly.

"Let's go," Veon said and everyone nodded.

Shannara quickly shot the zombie on her left side twice and she pushed the zombie away.

"We need to make a new plan," Shannara suggested and Veon looked at how skilled the girl was.

She was aggressive but it did not scare him. He was even surprised to see how fearless she was and it made him realize that a girl being easily scared is just a myth. He hated to admit it, but he knew that Shannara was on another league compared to the other girls who can fight. She's stronger and faster, maybe even better with Sheloah when it comes to handling guns.

Shannara realized that Veon was in a daze. "Veon, are you listening?"

"Y-yeah," Veon just said and he noticed one zombie running towards him so he shot the zombie quickly, leading to its death. "What did you say again," Veon asked and Shannara rolled her eyes at him.

"I said…"

Shannara was slightly struggling to kill the zombies around her. She shot the other zombie on his leg, making him limp, then she focused on the zombie nearest her. She put her gun in its mouth and shot it, making the zombie instantly dead. She pulled out her bloody gun and shot the limp zombie twice on the head, making a pool of blood on the ground. This made Veon look at the girl in awe.

"We need to make a plan," Shannara said finally and Veon just looked at her, speechless.
