Army of True Salvation

Chapter 76:Good Luck, Geof!

"Sheloah!"

"Damn it!"

Tyler was about to run to catch up to her and stop her but Geof blocked up his way before he could reach her.

"You can't leave! You shouldn't follow her," Geof said but Tyler pushed him away. Tyler ran but was immediately stopped by Geof. This irritated him so he shoved Geof hard on the chest.

"What's wrong with you, man!?" Geof looked at Tyler coldly. "Do you want Sheloah to die!? We have to stop her!"

Geof sighed heavily and he tapped Tyler's shoulder, calming him down.

"Bro, if we follow her, we still couldn't do anything. It's too risky. We could die," Geof said and Tyler grew agitated.

"Then are you saying that Sheloah will die!?" Geof couldn't answer. "If you say that we would die, then what more for Sheloah, huh?!"

Geof frowned at him. Tyler was now pacing back and forth, pulling his curly hair, as his anger grew and grew, until he couldn't contain it anymore.

"Shit!"

Tyler shouted in exasperation as he sat on the ground. Geof sighed and he sat beside Tyler, waiting for him to calm down.

"Let's just tell what happened to Veon and to Sheloah's family," Geof said and Tyler's eyes grew wide in terror.

"Are you insane? Veon would go berserk once he knew that Sheloah's gone out her own way! What more for her family!" Tyler stood up, panicked. "Veon would especially get mad at me because I was tasked with monitoring Sheloah!" He started pulling his own hair again, as he imagined the wrath he might be facing soon.

"It would be better to be honest about it than lie to them that Sheloah went to the land of the butterflies," Geof mumbled but it was enough for Tyler to hear.

"You're crazy, Geof," Tyler commented as he looked beyond the bridge when suddenly, an idea came to mind. Geof squinted his eyes at him, guessing what he'd do next.

"Don't you dare!" Geof said as he stood up, eyeing Tyler carefully.

"I will get her, Geof. I have to," he said and Geof rolled his eyes at him, exasperated.

"[1]Tanga! Do you also want to die!?" Geof was irritated when he heard Tyler's decision.

Tyler shook his head. "I can't leave Sheloah alone! I can't do that! He's important to us—to her family… to Veon!"

Geof went in front of Tyler, blocking his way. He pointed his katana at him. "Don't you dare! I warned you. It's too risky. I can't have you missing, too!"

Tyler didn't take his warning seriously. When he threw Geof's gun, Geof was taken aback and Tyler took this chance to run away from him.

"Best of luck to me! I need to get her back!"

Tyler ran and Geof's eyes widened to see him speeding up towards the bridge.

He thought that getting Sheloah back was the utmost responsibility. If she couldn't get her back in once piece… he would die in her family's hand. He might even be punished by Veon first! They had trusted him in looking after Sheloah. Of course, this would pressure him! He wouldn't dare break their trust.

While he was running, he suddenly heard Geof's scream.

"Great! Let me die in your stead then!"

Tyler smiled when he heard that. He never thought that he would be the one to receive Veon's wrath. He never thought that he would be the one to receive Sheloah's family's rants!

'Good luck, Geof!'
