"The assistant is a boy?" Gu Chen Yang blurted out the doubts in his heart. Ever since Gu Luocheng had left the country, there had never been any rumours spread about him, and there had never been anyone close to him. This caused many people to wonder if there was a problem with this Gu family's young master's orientation.

As if he had already expected Gu Chen Yang to ask this, Gu Luocheng was not surprised at all, "It's a girl."

"Then I must see for sure what kind of woman can make Big Brother stay by his side." A hint of surprise flashed through Gu Chen Yang's eyes, this answer was indeed out of his expectations.

"I'll introduce you another day when I have the chance."

"Alright, then I won't disturb your rest any longer." After saying that, he stood up and walked towards the door. Just as he was about to step out, a loud 'boom' sounded, stopping both of them in their tracks.

"It's fine. Maybe the wind blew something away." There was not a single trace of panic on his face as he faced the doubt in Gu Chen Yang's eyes. Right now, he couldn't let Gu Chen Yang know that Shen Xingyue was staying here. Although he didn't care, he still had to take Shen Xingyue's feelings into consideration.

He looked at the door of the room with suspicion and left without saying anything else.

Standing at the door, watching as Gu Chen Yang drove away, his gaze became more and more profound. He suddenly appeared to check his location, and also planned to place someone beside him to monitor him.

He turned around and looked up the stairs. His lips curled up into a smile as he walked upstairs lightly. When he opened the door, he saw a petite figure wrapped in a blanket lying on the floor. Her brows were knitted tightly, as if she was in pain.

He carefully picked her up and placed her on the bed. When he got up to leave, he found that the corner of her clothes had been pulled. "Don't leave, I'm scared." Although his voice was soft, every word still entered his ears.

Gu Luocheng frowned, but still chose to sit on the bedside. The night was always long, but for the current Gu Luocheng, he hoped that tonight's night would be a bit longer, a bit longer.

The sun had just risen when Shen Xingyue got up from her bed. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and walked down the stairs humming a song. Today, she was going to prepare breakfast for Gu Luocheng.

"You woke up early today." Gu Luocheng walked in from outside with a head full of sweat. When he opened the door, he saw that figure busily working in the kitchen. For a split-second, he actually had the feeling of being at home.

"Good timing, breakfast is ready too. Wash your hands and eat." He walked out of the kitchen with the breakfast that he had prepared. The tone of his voice made people feel like he was an old man with his wife.

Nodding his head, he walked into the bathroom with a smile. He had imagined this scene countless times in his mind, yet it had now become a reality.

"Are you busy today?" Shen Xingyue casually asked after drinking a mouthful of porridge. Yesterday, she had been busy packing her things and hadn't had a good look at this room. Now that she looked at it carefully, she felt that she was missing something.

Gu Luocheng was stunned for a moment before shaking his head. "I have a document to deal with. What is it?"

"I always feel that there's something wrong with this room. I want to ask you to come and have a look as well. If you don't have time, then forget it." Her tone was that of a hostess.

Seeing that she didn't treat him as an outsider, Gu Luocheng smiled. "Fine, I'll listen to you."

Nodding his head, he didn't pay any attention to the other party's movements. After a while, he felt a burning gaze staring at him from the top of his head. Slowly raising his head, their gazes met.

"What's wrong?" Ye Zichen touched his cheek in confusion. Was there something dirty on his face?

He smiled and shook his head. "You seem like a mistress now." My favorite hostess.

Shen Xingyue was stunned for a moment before her face flushed red. Lowering her head, she angrily scolded in a low voice, "Hurry up and eat." He hurriedly ate a few mouthfuls and then ran upstairs to wash up.

After washing up, she went downstairs. Gu Luocheng had long since changed into casual attire and was waiting for her at the entrance. He gave her a sidelong glance and silently walked out the door.

The two of them drove to the largest shop in the city. Shen Xingyue carefully selected the decorations that matched the style of Gu Luocheng's apartment.

Shen Xingyue felt that since she already lived here, there was a need for her to take care of this house. That was why she suggested that they choose some decorations.

"That's it. What do you think is missing?" The selection lasted for almost an hour. Shen Xingyue was satisfied as she looked at the large and small parcels in Gu Luocheng's hands.

From start to finish, Gu Luocheng had not shown the slightest trace of impatience. He had patiently chosen his option along the way, occasionally giving his own suggestion. This made Shen Xingyue feel very surprised.

Shen Xingyue stared at him blankly for a moment before chuckling, "Based on Mr Gu's background and qualifications, what kind of woman can't she marry?"

"So, you're telling me that I can marry you?" His expression instantly turned solemn as he looked at Shen Xingyue with deep emotions.

"Mr. Gu, it's best not to joke so much. After all, I'm about to become your future sister-in-law." He was deliberately reminding the other party to keep their distance.

Compared to Gu Chen Yang, he was indeed a good candidate, but he didn't want to get involved with the Gu family anymore. Right now, the first thing he needed to do was to break away from the control of the Shen family and get rid of his marriage with Gu Chen Yang.

He sighed helplessly and slowly turned around with a faint smile on his face. "Young Master Gu, I'm sorry, I didn't see anything. I'll leave immediately." With that, he pulled Gu Luocheng forward as if they were escaping.

However, just as he took a step forward, he was stopped. "Why are you two together?" Gu Chen Yang sized the two of them up with a questioning gaze, a trace of displeasure flashing through his eyes.
