Chapter 26 - Water Training (Continued)

"Master, whenever you're ready."

We walked to a nearby field.

Orobas was waving at me from distance.

I asked Orobas to materialize. If he's a spirit, he can't be attacked.

I'm going to ask Crocell to watch the game for a while.

"Water, manifest aguocool."

I produced a lump of water in my right hand.

"Fire it up, encendido."

And a lump of fire in my left hand appeared.

These are the only two magic tricks I can do right now.

I really wanted to learn the magic of all four elements (fire, wind, water, and earth) before challenging him to a duel, but I had no choice.

I don't have the time anymore to summon a new demon right now.

There is no point in begging for what I don't have, and I'll have to manage to fight with these two.

"Ball Fuego Flama."

I shot a mass of flames from my left hand towards Orobas.

Of course, Orobas was burned.

"Oh, are you okay ......?"

"It doesn't matter how much my body is damaged for the sake of my Master!"

Orobas insisted.

In fact, there was not a scratch on his clothes, only a little scorched, so I guess it was not a problem.

".... 5 continuous, fireball firing Cinco Fuego Flama."

Five masses of fire are emitted simultaneously.

Then he fired them all.

"Hahahahaha, I'm not done yet!"

Orobas said it with a laugh. In fact, he really seems to be fine.

Damn it, how can I damage him?

I mean, if you think about it, it's great that I was able to get the water out, but how am I supposed to use this water to attack?

It would be easier to use it as an attack if I could turn it into ice.

However, I can't do that right now.

"Hey, Crocell. How can I use water as an attack?"

"Well, if you want me to show you...... I can actually show you."

So I asked Crocell to show me how to use water.

"Well then, Mr. Orobas. Here we go."

"Anytime, no problem!"

"Yeah!"

In the same moment, a large amount of water was shot out with great force.

"Boom!"

Orobas was blown away and disappeared from sight as he uttered something.

Even though it was water, it would be more than a minor bruise if it was hit with that much force.

"Oh, I overdid it."

Crocell said it in a light tone.

"Hey? Are you okay?"

"Orobas is also a demon, so I'm sure he'll be fine......", Crocell said in an anxious tone.

"Hahahaha, I'm still fine!"

Oh, Orobas came back.

He was looking surprisingly healthy.

"Crocell, please teach me some magic that I can do as well...."

I don't think I could do the same thing she just showed me.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't even think about Mr. Norman's situation!"

Crocell is bowing her head desperately.

Oh no, I think Crocell might be going into downer mode again.

“You don't have to apologize, Crocell. I'm not mad at you at all."

It would be troublesome if she went into downer mode, so I managed to catch her up.

"Are you sure you're not mad......?"

"No, I'm not angry at all."

"Are you sure......?

"Yeah, sure."

I shook my head as hard as I could.

Then Crocell was convinced and said with a big smile on her face, "Mr. Norman is really kind."

It seems that Crocell's condition has returned to normal.

"Ok, so is there anything easier?"

“Yes, there is. Well, how about this?”

Then Crocell turned to Orobas and signaled, "Here we go!"

Seeing that Orobas had agreed, Crocell activated her magic.

"Ey!"

The water turned into a blade-like shape and attacked Orobas.

"Ggh!"

Orobas used his arms as a shield to try to protect himself.

But the sharp water still cut Orobas' arms, but only slightly.

"By firing the water into a thin state, it's like a blade!"

Surely I could do this if I just get the hang of it.

That's why I started practicing using water as a flying blade.

"Water Blade Aqua Espeda."

I fired water in the shape of a blade.

Then the blade sliced Orobas' body successfully.

"It worked....."

After practicing dozens of times, I finally got it right.

"Congratulations, Mr. Norman!" "That's my master!"

Both of them praised me.

"Oh, Orobas, you've been my target for a long time, and now you are allowed to fight back, too."

Orobas was covered in scratches from the multiple attacks.

I was told that once he was in his spirit state, his wounds would be gone and he would be fine, but I still felt bad about attacking him unilaterally.

"No, it would be against my own loyalty to attack my master!"

"But since we're practicing for a duel, it won't be much of a practice unless Orobas attacks me too."

In a real duel, it's impossible for the opponent to just stand there and be the target.

"I see....... Now, if you'll excuse me."

Orobas paused in his stance.

I also put fire and water in my hands, ready to attack at any time.

The next time I attack, Orobas will try to dodge.

So I'll have to aim well.

I consciously try to keep an eye on Orobas' movements.

One moment...

"Huh, he's gone?"

Orobas disappeared right in front of me.

"What?"

The very next moment, Orobas was right in front of me.

He hadn't disappeared. He just moved really fast.

My eyes couldn't catch up, so I just thought he was gone.

By the time I realized this, it was already too late.

Orobas' fist was in my stomach.

"Gah!"

As soon as I exhaled, I was blown away.

I had underestimated the power of the demon.

By the time I regretted it, it was too late, and as soon as I fell to the ground, I was unconscious.
