Chapter 9 - Class

"Norman, I see you're going to duel with Regal in a week."

During class, Mr. Redon suddenly spoke to me.

"Well, yes, but ......"

When I replied, the other students who were listening began to giggle. From the looks of it, it seems that not only all the students but also the teachers knew about the duel.

"Well, I have a lot to say. But be careful with your injuries."

Mr.Redon said only that, and went back to his class. I guess he has no intention of stopping the duel. Well, in this school, teachers don't get involved in problems between students. But now that I know I can't use general magic, there's not much point in listening to the class.

"The air here is filled with spirits so fine that you can't even see them. However, if you close your eyes, you should be able to feel their presence. How to communicate with these spirits is the basis of magic." said Mr.Redon to his class.

I try to close my eyes, but I still can't feel the presence of spirits. I decided to give it a try and see if I could feel the presence of a demon. Instantly, I felt a black presence coming from my bag. I'm pretty sure that my bag contained the Goetia, a grimoire that summons demons. I see, If its related to demons, I can feel the presence.

Oh, I can feel the presence of another demon in the distance. I'm sure my house is in that direction. So this is the presence of Orobas. I can tell from a distance that he is a real demon and has enormous magical power.

"What's more important is the image. The more you can picture in your mind how the spirits will move and change, the easier it will be for you to control them," Mr.Redon said.

I see. So, in my case, I should imagine in detail how the demons move and change. So I'll try to precisely recall how Orobus was summoned. Not only the information that I saw with my eyes, but also the flow of magic power that was emitted. The way Orobas breathed, and his palpitations. How the magic circle was activated, and all the other details that I could visualize in my mind. Then, surprisingly, I was able to visualize it easily. Hmm, that long spell. There are some unnecessary parts. It would be no problem to omit them. And if I can perfectly recreate the magic power flowing through the magic circle with my own magic power, I can get by without bothering to draw it.

I see, this is how everyone learns about magic. It felt very good to be able to completely understand the feeling of something that I didn't understand before.

That's how I listened to Mr. Redon, replacing his lessons with demons.

"Oh, wow the room is really clean." "Yes, I've done my best, desperately, for Master!"

As Orobas said, the room that was so dusty has become so clean that it shines. I hadn't expected the room to be this clean. How did he make it so clean? I don't think he licked it off with his tongue like he said when he introduced himself right?....... Ugh, let's not think about it too much.

"Are you good at any other household chores too, by any chance?" "Yes, I'm good at cooking, laundry, and other household chores in addition to cleaning."

Oh, for a demon, you're quite handy, aren't you? I've been wondering what I'm going to do now that I'm on my own since the servants have been doing all the housework, but I think I'll be fine if I ask Orobas.

"If that's the case, would you mind if I asked you to do some of the other chores? Of course, it would be wrong to make Orobas do it alone, so I'll help." "No! I don't want to bother you, Master! I can do this all alone!" "If that's the case, I guess I'll ask you to do it."

That's how the strange life together between me and the devil began.
