Chapter 62: Shield Axe Must Be Super-Resolved!

"Stand behind me!"

Carrying a metal cube in front of Hope, Carl pressed the surface of the metal cube.

The lines of magic flowed quickly on the surface of the metal cube, the mechanism started, and the metal cube quickly deformed into a shield with a bladed edge almost as high as the power armor.

Holding the shield upright, Carl took a forward lunge and stood, and the large fire snake swept along.

"Bang--"

A dull collision sounded, and the attack of the large fire snake was perfectly blocked by Carl.

The small Khyber dragon crystal inlaid in the center of the shield had some more fire element energy.

Pressing the mechanism on the shield again, a long knife popped out from under the shield.

"Wow!"

Raising his hand to catch his new battle axe, Hope looked at the weapon in Carl's hand, and then looked at his own hand, and suddenly felt a little boring.

"I want such a cool weapon in the future!"

Muttering softly, Hope rushed out of Carl's protection range and rushed towards the fire snake whose body was temporarily stiff after the attack.

At this time, the fire snake was in a state of stiffness because of the great power it had just exerted. Hope saw the opportunity and ran directly to the fire snake by stepping on its scales.

Although the strength increased a lot after the size became larger, the heavy body actually hindered its agility.

Seeing Hope stepping on its body and rushing towards the snake's head, the fire snake had to roll on the ground and try to shake Hope off.

But Hope was also a greedy guy.

Knowing that he couldn't chop off the fire snake's head directly, he still swung the battle axe, leaving two deep scars on the opponent's body.

Unfortunately, these two scars healed most of the time, leaving only two shallow scars, as if the creature in front of him was a thorough elemental life.

"Carl! This guy can't be injured by non-magical weapons!"

Kicking the fire snake, Hope did a backflip and jumped back behind Carl.

"It's okay. I've roughly anticipated it. I'll add magic patterns to your weapon when we get back."

The battle axe with the magic pattern of the weapon can barely be considered a magic weapon, but because it is not the type that increases damage, the effect is not that good.

Hearing Carl's promise, Hope said "tsk".

"Why didn't you add it to me at the beginning! Ha!"

With a low shout, Hope used the violent force and transformed into a three-meter-tall giant.

"I didn't expect you to fight with me so soon!"

He used the shield to block the attack of the fire snake again, and Carl said, then put the long sword in his right hand back on the shield.

Slightly rotated the handle, and with a "click", the shield changed its shape again.

The shields on both sides extended to both sides, and the original shield turned into a double-edged axe.

"Swish--"

When Carl put his hands in power armor on the axe handle, the dragon crystal in the center of the axe blade was activated, and a raging fire gushed out from the grooves on the surface of the axe blade.

Following the impact force brought by the flames, Carl stepped on the ground and jumped towards the fire snake.

"Swish!"

The long-handled axe with two magic patterns of [Enhanced Defense] and [Enhanced Weapons] chopped down vertically, cutting the fire snake into two pieces.

The fire snake's tail was still swinging relentlessly, but Hope swung two battle axes and chopped it to pieces.

And its head tried to bite Carl, dragging someone down with it before dying.

Unfortunately, Carl only manipulated it slightly, and the axe in his hand turned back into a large shield and a long sword, blocking the bite of the fire snake.

"Bang!"

The power armor landed again, and Carl shook off the non-existent blood on the long sword, like a veteran who had been on the battlefield for a long time, and sheathed the sword.

"What's the name of your weapon?"

After getting rid of the snake tail, Hope carried his weapon and asked curiously.

Similar weapons are rarely seen in the Khorvaire continent, at least never seen in Zom.

"Shield Axe! I made a mechanical weapon based on other people's ideas. I installed dragon crystal on it so that it can absorb the elemental power released by the enemy to strengthen the weapon."

Because the creatures to be dealt with are obviously resistant to the fire element, Carl turned the energy that should have been used for elemental attacks into additional power for the weapon.

This thing was naturally made by Carl with reference to the "Monster Hunter" game in his previous life.

However, it did take Carl a lot of energy to restore its ability as much as possible.

Fortunately, the Dream World plug-in gave Carl enough time and materials to repeat the experiment, otherwise he really couldn't make the thing in such a short time.

"What? You want to use it too?"

Seeing Hope staring at the weapon in his hand, Carl took the initiative to hand it to Hope.

"No! I still think the battle axe is more suitable for me. Yours is too complicated to use. I guess only warriors who know everything will like it."

The warriors in the DND series are not only good at using knives to chop people. In fact, many warriors are weapon masters who are proficient in all kinds of weapons.

Swords, spears, swords, halberds, axes, hooks and forks, basically as long as they can be used for attack, there will be warriors using them.

One of the warrior's sub-jobs, the battle master, strengthens this development tendency. It is said that he has a high survival rate on the battlefield and can be regarded as a replica of the furniture city war god.

However, Carl was not very interested in this. The warrior subclass he wanted to choose was the Arcane Knight.

The Arcane Knight could learn spells from the schools of protection and evocation, as well as a small number of spells from any school, which could make up for the lack of spellcasting ability of the Artificer.

Although the Arcane Knight could only learn spells up to the 4th level, what Carl wanted most was actually the Arcane Knight's 3rd-level professional feature - weapon connection.

As long as he had this feature and established a connection with the power armor, Carl could summon the power armor at any time, even if he was separated from the power armor by an entire continent.

Moreover, the Arcane Knight itself was a powerful combat profession comparable to the Paladin, and it did not have as many restrictions as the Paladin.

The Paladin profession in the game was indeed brave, but if people really took up the job in the real world, this profession would be a pitfall.

Without firm faith and strong belief, the Paladin's career would basically end when he chose the Holy Oath at level 3.

After confirming that the fire snake was dead, Hope opened his backpack and put the fire snake's body in it.

This time they don't have to worry about not being able to put it in. The giant's dimensional bag is terrifyingly large in both diameter and capacity.

Of course, the weight in normal state is also heavier than that of ordinary dimensional bags.

"Carl, I feel like I'm level 4. Next, you accompany me to kill a few more fire snakes. It's still early now. Maybe we can get a lot of improvement during this period of time."

"Okay! Let's upgrade our professional level here during the next period of time. If you feel uncomfortable, tell me."

So, Carl and Hope began their leveling journey until... the boss of the fire snakes showed up.
