As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 169 - No, No, She Should Avoid Any Catastrophe!

Kazuya arrived at the city at half-past ten o'clock. It would take him another thirty minutes before he reached the villa.

The dark gray car speedily moved down the road, the bright neon lights were reflected on its roof, bouncing the lights against the surface.

Kazuya silently reminisced the things that occurred in just a day.

From waking up early with the anticipation of bringing his lady to a beach, the plan changed to getting her back safely to her hometown.

Never did Kazuya expect he would be able to meet Himari's mother today.

"She's still a baby daughter to her mom," Kazuya laughed faintly. The sound of his chuckle echoed inside the car.

Kazuya was reminded of the moment when Himari was crying while hugging her mother in the hospital ward. Although her cries subsided afterward, he was still worried for her.

If her mother suffered from more severe injuries, he doubted that Himari could easily be persuaded.

Her mother was everything to Himari, that's what Kazuya concluded.

Mother...

Kazuya silently shook his head, chasing the useless thoughts away from his mind.

Every family was different.

While Himari only had her mother in her family, it was crystal clear that the two of them loved and treasured each other dearly. They lived in harmony even though lacking in monetary things.

While he...

No matter it was his father or mother, Kazuya didn't have a great attachment to them. The only one that he cared about was his elder brother. The big house where they lived during childhood was just a place for them to seek shelter.

Their life circumstances and paths were different but, Kazuya was glad both he and Himari were able to meet in the middle and ventured to another path together.

[Kazuya: Just arrived home]

The two texts were sent to Himari right after Kazuya entered the quiet entryway of the villa.

The villa was shrouded in silence. Only the occasional sound of the leaves rustling outside accompanied each of his steps heading to his bedroom.

Both Izumi and Chiharu had already slept deeply. Aunt Mayu left at eight o'clock but, there was nothing to worry about because Izumi was a responsible boy.

The young boy had already been instructed and taught on what he should take notice of when he was left alone with his little sister at home. Kazuya also made him remember all the emergency contact numbers.

[Himari: Thank you for your hard work today!]

[Himari: PinkStrawberryBow.png]

[Himari: Sleep well, you'd go to watch the match tomorrow]

Her replies came instantly.

She hadn't gone to sleep?

Kazuya instinctively smiled as he imagined his lady was fiddling with her phone, waiting for his texts to arrive.

Then, Kazuya laughed at himself.

Since when did he become so conceited?

"You've always been shameless ah."

Her soft voice echoed next to his ears as if to answer the question. Another image conjured in his mind, the view of Himari purposely glaring at him.

Kazuya laughed again. His entire countenance softened under the moonlight that sprinkled from the windows.

A pleasant sleep accompanied him that night.

Next morning.

A certain chubby birdie chirped incessantly when the first ray of sunlight sneaked in through the slip of the curtains. What came next was the bouncing of the mattress under Kazuya as the birdie turned into a little kangaroo, jumping nonstop on the bed.

"Chiharu!" Kazuya groaned. He still kept his eyes shut, his voice was slightly hoarse as he was abruptly woken up by the dumpling, "Don't jump! Sleep ah!"

"Uncle! Uncle! Big Brother plays basketball today!" Chiharu pounced on her uncle. Her chubby fingers pulled Kazuya's bangs, "Wake up ah! Eat breakfast and go out now!"

Kazuya was frustrated.

It was still so early! The time hadn't hit six o'clock yet!

"Five more minutes..." Kazuya turned over from Chiharu, he buried his head on the pillow and laid on his stomach, "Let me sleep for five more minutes..."

Then, the sound of him snoring faintly muffled against the pillow.

The dumpling blinked. She stared at her uncle who looked so sleepy this morning.

Aiya, why did her uncle so lazy today? Even her big brother had yet to wake up.

She was the only one who was diligent ah.

Thus, without caring for her uncle, Chiharu sat on his back. She was busy playing with his hair while the man had returned to sleep.

The dumpling suddenly had an impulse to go and get her cute ribbons then decorated her uncle's head with them. Uncle would look more pleasing to the eyes if she did that.

But...

Chiharu suddenly shivered in fright.

She remembered the first time she did that kind of thing, her uncle wrapped her up inside a blanket. He had even tied a ribbon around to avoid her escaping. Her uncle wasn't even affected when she used her cuteness to attack him.

No, no, she should avoid any catastrophe! She had to change her strategy!

Chiharu frowned. She had a deep sense of displeasure toward her stinky uncle.

Hurm...

In the end, the dumpling thought of something.

Thus, she quietly planned her revenge.

Chiharu quietly took Kazuya's phone from the bedside table. She wanted to unlock it then, another thought popped into her mind.

She can't be caught quickly!

Then, the dumpling rushed out of the bedroom, running inside her elder brother's room before she returned back to her uncle.

Hehe, Uncle won't be mad mad, won't he? ^w^

At a quarter past seven, the family of three started to head out. They just had a simple breakfast today.

"Big Brother! Win again~"

Chiharu didn't stop cheering for her big brother from home until they reached the venue of the final match. Izumi could only helplessly smile in the face of his little sister's enthusiasm.

"Play well, Izumi," Kazuya gave the boy a short wish but, it was already enough for Izumi.

"I'll go now!"

The boy ran to where his teammates gathered. Excited voices and cheers echoed inside the large gymnasium, coming from the players themselves as well as the spectators who were waiting for the game to start.

Kazuya brought the little dumpling to sit on the bleachers.

Today, Chiharu wore a light blue denim suspender skirt over a lilac T-shirt. Her hair was tied into a fluffy bun, sitting right on top of her head with a white ribbon decorated her hair bun.

"Uncle, we go where to eat for lunch?" The dumpling asked the man sitting beside her. Her short legs dangled from the seat, hovering above the ground.

Kazuya squinted his eyes, "It's just eight o'clock yet, you're already thinking of lunch?"

"Hehehe~"

Kazuya ignored the dumpling. At the same time, a few notifications rang from his phone.

Himari sent him a few messages.

Even though Kazuya didn't really show it, just by looking at the curl of his lips was enough to tell that he was happy to receive them. His eyes softened at the sight of the messages before, in the next instant, his lips froze.

Himari attached a photo with her message, a photo that she edited by adding some stickers.

[Himari: SleepingMan.png]

[Himari: Hehehe were you that sleepy?]

Kazuya tapped on the photo to enlarge it.

It was the back photo of a sleeping man. Himari added cute strawberry stickers on it. What made him so shocked was because he was the man in the photo!

But, how could she have this one?

In an instant, Kazuya darted his eyes and looked at a certain dumpling.

"Chiharu..." He called the dumpling through gritted teeth.

The little girl looked up at her uncle and blinked her eyes cutely, "Yes, Uncle?"

"Were you the one who sent this photo to Teacher Kato?"

Kazuya showed the photo to the dumpling. The girl's eyes shone brightly.

"Aye! So cute! Chiharu told Teacher Kato to make Uncle looked cute! So cute ah! With strawberries!"

Kazuya was dumbfounded. He didn't expect the culprit would easily admit to her wrongdoings.

He suddenly had a sense of deja vu.

The dumpling shrugged and sighed like an old lady, "Aiya, Chiharu wanna put Chiharu's strawberry hairpins on Uncle's head but Uncle would get mad. Chiharu took a photo and sent it to Teacher Kato. Uncle won't be mad if Teacher Kato used stickers, right, right?"

The chubby dumpling was so eloquent as she agreed to her own justification.

Kazuya laughed angrily, "Oh, you think I won't be mad? Whose phone did you use to take the photo?"

Since Kazuya had sent a text to Himari right before they went out earlier, he was certain there was no photo attached in their previous conversation.

Then, how could Himari have this unsightly photo of him?

"Use Big Brother's phone ah!" Chiharu exclaimed, "Uncle would nag and nag and nag if Chiharu used Uncle's phone!"

Kazuya almost choked in disbelief. He stared at the dumpling. This little girl was so sure that he won't be mad at her if she used this method.

What kind of logic did his niece have?

Aye...

Kazuya wanted to laugh at himself.

This dumpling was only a five-year-old girl. His brain would burst to try to comprehend the way she thought about certain things.

In the end, Kazuya could only helplessly let this matter go.

He was lucky that he didn't have any bad behavior during sleeping.

What if this little mischievous rascal captured a photo of him sleeping in an unsightly posture?

Should he just lock his door every time he went to sleep?
