As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 260 - Why Don't Both Of Us Have Weddings At The Same Time?

The UTVs glided smoothly on the wide beach.

Ryota drove the first UTV with Nanako sitting next to him. His niece and nephew were already waiting for them at the appointed place.

A little further behind them, Kazuya skillfully followed Ryota.

Himari, Izumi and Chiharu sat on their respective seats with safety harnesses strapped over their bodies. The two children's eyes were glued to the scene of the white sandy beach.

Cool sea breeze brushed against their skins, ruffling their hair into a mess. Behind them, the tire marks trailed on the sand.

Himari averted her gaze from the back of the first UTV to her man who was driving next to her. Kazuya appeared so calm as he maneuvered the vehicle..

"Kazuya, aside from driving a car, paddling a boat, riding a superbike and a horse and now a UTV, what else could you do? Oh ya, you could even draw, paint and cook."

Himari didn't know if her question stemmed from her lack of experience with many friends or not, but, somehow the image of her man turned even more awesome in her mind.

Did she strike a really, really big pot of gold by having him as her man?

Kazuya couldn't suppress himself from smiling smugly as he heard clearly how amazed his lady was with him.

It seemed like her admiration toward him only got higher ah. It made him feel so happy.

"I could ride a bicycle too," answered Kazuya teasingly.

"Hey! That's not what I meant!" Himari pouted.

Kazuya laughed out loud. With a wink, he answered, "You'll find out more soon."

Himari sighed in helplessness.

Fine, fine.

Along the way to where Nanako and Ryota wanted to bring them, Himari found that the further they were from the hotel, the deserted the beach was. It seemed like they would enter the private area of the island soon.

"We've arrived!"

Ryota announced in a loud voice before he gradually slowed down the speed of the UTV. Kazuya just followed his lead. Both of them parked the UTVs under a coconut tree.

"Uncle~ Uncle's so good ah! The car went so fast on the beach~ Like in the film ah!"

The cute face of Chiharu flushed in excitement as she kept going on and on about her first experience riding the UTV. Although her vocabulary wasn't broad, it didn't hinder her from expressing what she felt.

Kazuya's mood was as sunny as the giant ball of light hanging in the sky, that was what Himari thought as she smilingly looked at him.

"Okay, okay, praise me all you want but you still can't eat as much ice cream as you plan."

Kazuya didn't forget to lie some warning in his words. He picked up the dumpling and carefully put her on the sand.

Chiharu puffed up her cheeks. She was clearly feeling annoyed because Uncle only knew to tease her.

She could give him sincere praises too, alright?

Humph!

"We can swim first if you want. There are so many games we can try here~"

Nanako walked alongside Himari as the group followed Ryota's lead.

In front of them, a few parasols stood in between comfortable beach chairs. Not far from the parasols, three young men in swimming trunks stood still as if waiting for any order to come.

"Ryota just allow these handsome hunks to serve you?" Himari poked fun at her best friend.

The servers were all good-looking. Their muscular bodies stood out as they didn't wear any shirts.

"Heh heh," Nanako squinted her eyes. A hint of mischief glinted in them, "Don't talk about me. What about your boyfriend? Would Mr. Hayashi be jealous?"

Himari tilted her head with one finger tapping her chin. She pretended to think about the question for a long time before she answered cheekily, "Why would he be jealous? He's the most handsome man here~"

No matter how good-looking a man was, she only had eyes on her dear boyfriend.

Nanako rolled her eyes. Himari laughed seeing her friend's reaction.

Behind them, Kazuya restrained pursed his lips hard. What his lady replied to her friend almost made him laugh out loud.

Aye, he really couldn't understand her.

At times, she would be so shy. At certain times, she could straightforwardly say something cheesy like that.

"Sister Chiharu~ Sister Chiharu~"

Right in front of them, a very small dumpling in a pink swimsuit ran to them. The white skirt around her chubby waist fluttered as her little and short feet ran on the sand.

"Hina! Don't run ah!"

Behind the very small dumpling, a boy shouted at her.

Himari felt funny to see the scene of Ryota's niece and nephew. Both of them were just like Chiharu and Izumi.

"Sister Chiharu, play together?"

The very small dumpling happily tugged on another dumpling's hands. Her face was beaming with anticipation.

"Hehe, let's play oh~ Come, come~ What should we play?" The small dumpling patted the very small dumpling's head.

Chiharu felt a sense of responsibility from the moment Hinako got attached to her. She grinned from ear to ear every time Hinako called her 'Sister Chiharu'.

The two dumplings' antics incited laughter from the adults while their brothers could only smile in helplessness.

After that, the two men were responsible for looking after the children at the beach while their ladies caught up with each other.

While Kazuya and Ryota supervised Chiharu and Hinako who giddily sat on a unicorn float boat each, Himari and Nanako sat on the sand, letting the waves that hit the shore wet their feet. The two boys, Izumi and Yuuya were playing ball.

"Wow~ No wonder you said no one could enter your eyes ah. Your man is so muscular. The tattoo at his back even amplifies his charm!"

Nanako didn't act modestly as she openly made evaluations about her friend's man.

"Geez, you act as if you never saw a man with tattoos before," Himari pulled Nanako's right cheek.

"Haha~ It's not that. I'm just surprised since Mr. Hayashi didn't look the type to have any tattoo," answered Nanako righteously.

Shaking her head, Himari could only laugh helplessly. Nanako had been saying the same thing from the moment Kazuya took off his sweater, revealing his bare upper abdomen.

Although the sun was hot, the two friends still chose to sit at the shore. From time to time, the two little dumplings would wave at them.

"It's really good that you and Mr. Hayashi's relationship is getting more stable, Himari."

As she heard the honest confession from her dear best friend, Himari felt her nose sour.

Nanako chuckled. She looked into Himari's eyes.

"Well, even though we often shared stories when we couldn't meet, I still worried about you. You don't know how happy I was when I heard he confessed to you and you also reciprocated his feelings."

Because of her hectic job and the preparations for the engagement banquet, Nanako could barely spend time with Himari. The other day, when her friend told her about what Mr. Hayashi planned for both of them, Nanako was extremely pleased and relieved.

"...why are you suddenly talking like this? Like a father marrying her daughter off ah."

Himari laughed yet her eyes were stung with tears.

Nanako lifted up a hand then she patted Himari's back. Her laughter floated between them.

"So what? It's not like I always say this kind of thing. Speed up, will ya? Why don't both of us have weddings at the same time?"

"Hey! It's just a silly promise in high school," Himari smacked Nanako's arm.

Nanako's laughter got louder, "Why not? Can't you see that Mr. Hayashi's niece is so close to Hinako? She might wanna have a little sister. You can quickly give her one even though they would just be cousins."

"...what? Don't speak nonsense!"

Another smack fell on Nanako's arm as Himari's face blushed furiously.

While the two friends fooled around, they didn't notice that Kazuya and Ryota made Izumi and Yuuya monitored their little sisters.

"Hold on the float," Kazuya reminded Izumi, "Don't let your sister go far away from you."

"Where's Uncle going?" asked Izumi as he did what he was told.

The unicorn floats that Chiharu and Hinako used were so cute. The dumplings looked as if they really sat on unicorns.

"We'll go to get something," Ryota answered on behalf of Kazuya.

The two men exchanged a glance, nodded once then they ran toward the shore.

Stupefied, the children quietly looked at them.

"What... what?"

"What are they..."

The loud splashings of water attracted Himari and Nanako's attention. They felt even more confused at the sight of Kazuya and Ryota running out of the sea.

Their direction was...

"Ah! Run!" Nanako screamed.

"Don't, Kazuya... No!"

Before the two ladies could save themselves, the two men scooped them in their arms.

"Hey! We come here to play not to just chat!"

Ryota laughed even when he received hits from Nanako. He steadily carried her while running back to the sea.

"You two should get wet too!"

Kazuya smirked at Himari who was still dumbfounded. Seawater splashed around them.

"Ah! Let me go!"

Nanako smacked Ryota's shoulders.

"Kazuya! Don't! Put me down!"

Himari hit Kazuya's chest.

The two men laughed together while the children watched the chaos from the sidelines.

Sensing more danger coming their way, Himari and Nanako covered their faces with both palms. Next, they were thrown into the sea, the coming waves hitting their backs.

"You... You two..."

Himari wiped the seawater that splashed to her hair, dripping down to her chin. Her body was wet.

Beside her, the equally wet Nanako was fuming.

"Ah! Revenge!"

The two friends ran after their men with the same goal in their minds.

"HAHAHA!"

"Calm down! Calm down ah! Hahaha!"

The peace of the beach was broken down by the chaos at the sea.
