The discussion between Ryuu and Hiro remained unknown by Yuina. She was busy with her official task at school.

During lunch hour, Yuina joined Himari and Teacher Ayase in the cafeteria. The three female teachers chatted about random things as they enjoyed their lunch.??

"Speaking of... you really won't be going to honeymoon soon?"

Yuina stared at Himari when Teacher Ayase brought up the topic. She remembered that she had yet to find the opportunity to give Himari a wedding gift from her and Ryuu.

"My husband has just returned from a business trip," Lips smiling, Himari softly answered Teacher Ayase, "He said he wanna bring me abroad for our honeymoon but he doesn't have the time yet."

Kazuya was often regretful over the fact that he wasn't able to bring her to honeymoon until his workload lessened. Although he always brought Himari out for dates, just the two of them, he still thought it wasn't enough.

"We'd have a five-day break in two weeks1. The three public holidays start on Monday so, we'd have a break from Saturday to Wednesday. Maybe, both of you can go somewhere during that time," Teacher Ayase gave a suggestion.

"Yes, Himari," Yuina quickly agreed, "Even if you wanna visit shrines or temples on the Autumnal Equinox Day1 on that Wednesday, you should still be able to have a short vacation with your husband."

Seeing how serious these two ladies were, Himari's lips broke into a grin.

"We've just come back from summer break. But, you two want me to think of our upcoming holidays already?"

Teacher Ayase coughed awkwardly, "Well, we're just trying to help you cultivate feelings with your husband ah. We don't have other bad intentions."

"Yes, yes," Yuina sang the same tune with Teacher Ayase.

Himari helplessly shook her head. Her smile kept blooming on her lips.

Before going back home, Yuina stopped Himari who had just put on her bag strap over her shoulders. The teachers' office was already quiet by now.

"Himari, I haven't got the chance to give you this," Yuina smiled eagerly. She showed something in her hands to Himari, "Please take this as my congratulatory gift for your marriage."

To unexpectedly receive a gift today made Himari happy. She accepted the red envelope with small white ribbons adorned it. From the feel of her fingertips, Himari deduced the paper inside was quite hard.??

"Thank you~ Ah, what's inside? Did you put a million-dollar check in the envelope?" asked Himari teasingly.

Yuina playfully nudged Himari's arm, "Go back and open it. I hope you'd love it."

"Alright! Thank you, Yuina!"

Himari and Yuina parted ways with the former humming soft melody while walking down the hallway. Izumi and Chiharu were supposed to wait for her at the gate.??

Because the villa was quite far from the school unlike her previous apartment, Himari went to school using one of Kazuya's cars. Her husband could save the time that he often used to send and pick up the children from school before they got married.??

"Izumi, Chiharu, what do you guys want for dinner? What do you think if we have hot pot tonight?"??

"Want! Chiharu wants hot pot!"

"Aunt, can we have soy milk hot pot?"

That was the usual conversation Himari would have with the children on their way back home. Since the weather turned chillier at the beginning of autumn, having a hot pot seemed tempting enough for the three of them.

"Alright~ Let's have soy milk hot pot then. Izumi, text your uncle. Ask him if he wants certain ingredients for the hot pot or if he wants something else," said Himari while she was still focused on driving.

Most ingredients needed were already in the fridge. The seasonings were also complete. She just needed to prepare the broth and cut the beef, tofu and vegetables.??

The obedient boy Izumi nodded, "Okay, Aunt."

Izumi quickly sent texts to his uncle who was supposed to be working hard at work.

[Izumi: Aunt asked if Uncle wanna eat something else]

A reply came shortly.

[Kazuya: Okay. Tell your aunt that Uncle would tell her]

Izumi blinked.

Why didn't Uncle tell him directly?

Shrugging, Izumi looked at Himari who was driving, "Aunt, Uncle said he would send a text to you."

"Ah, okay..." answered Himari absentmindedly.

She was focusing on what happened in the right lane. Seemed like a small accident occurred.??

Once they arrived home, Himari urged the children to go and changed out of their uniforms. She greeted Aunt Mayu who was tidying the living room before she herself went to the bedroom.

Himari washed her face then changed into a thin sweater and long pleated skirt. She only remembered what Izumi mentioned about Kazuya's text when she was tying her hair into a bun.

"Geez, why couldn't he tell Izumi directly?" Himari mumbled.

Her finger tapped on the unread texts. In an instant, her face flushed red.

[Kazuya: I don't mind what you wanna make for dinner]

[Kazuya: As long as I can eat you tonight]

Infuriated, Himari quickly replied to his shameless texts.??

[Himari: Just eat your hot pot!]

Without waiting for her husband's reply, Himari threw the phone on the bed. The slim body of the phone landed softly on the mattress.??

It was a holiday voucher for two adults.

The two siblings and a tabby followed Himari inside the kitchen. Aunt Mayu had already brought out the necessary ingredients from the fridge.??

Aunt Mayu's working hours were shortened ever since Himari moved into the villa but, Kazuya didn't cut her pay. Her main job was to attend to house chores when both the host and hostess were away during the day.

The landline suddenly rang, filling the quiet downstairs with its continuous ringing.??

"Izumi, can you please pick up the call?" said Himari without lifting up her eyes. She was stirring the soup base on the stove.??

Izumi left the kitchen. He hurried to the landline that was hung next to the staircase.

"Aunt! Uncle's calling for you!"

Himari slowed down the fire then walked to Izumi. The boy gave her the phone before returning to the kitchen.

"Hello? What's wrong, honey?"

Kazuya quickly complained, "Sweetheart, you didn't answer my call ah."

"Ah, haha~ I left the phone upstairs. Why did you call?"

"En, well... can you prepare more for the hot pot?"

Kazuya sounded a bit hesitant at the end of the line. Himari raised her brows.

"I can. Would we have guests tonight? Are Shuichi and Taichi coming?"

Himari could only think of the two twins. They always came here either to dine or play.??

"No. Actually, I invite my mother to come," Kazuya answered quietly.??

Stunned, Himari blinked. She didn't expect to hear that.

This was the first time she heard Kazuya take the initiative to invite his mother to the villa and even to dine together.??

"Okay, I'll prepare more. When would Mother arrive?"

"She said she'd come around seven. Thank you, sweetheart."

Smiling, Himari laughed, "It's nothing. I'll prepare a delicious hot pot for you and Mother."

If Himari was with Kazuya right now, all she could see was nervousness and anticipation reflected in his eyes.
