As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 91 - Would She Think He Was Being Too Unnecessarily Friendly?

At the same time that Yuina was enjoying spring at the park, the family of three had just returned to the villa. The three days and two nights trip ended today.

But, someone was dissatisfied.

Kazuya rolled his eyes when he saw Chiharu kept sighing and pouting like she was being wronged terribly. The little dumpling was listless as she walked inside the villa. She seemed like she saw dragging her legs to keep moving.

Kazuya and Izumi followed while bringing in the suitcases.

There were the only ones at the villa. Kazuya gave Aunt Mayu an entire week worth of holidays. The housekeeper was overjoyed before planning to go to visit her hometown. Thus, they had to rely on themselves in the days without the capable Aunt Mayu.

"What are you sighing for? Just like an old lady?" Kazuya deliberately asked even though the answer was crystal clear on the girl's face.

Ever since they left the hotel room with their suitcases, Chiharu had been low in spirits. It was obvious that she still wanted to play at the amusement park. She had tried most of the kiddy rides at the park but, it was still not enough!

Chiharu's pouty mouth was suitable to be tied with a ribbon.

With an aggrieved look, she stared at her uncle.

"Uncle, it's boring to be at home," She complained without any qualm, "Chiharu wanna play again~"

Kazuya wanted to laugh and nag at the same time.

"We have so many toys at home. How could you be bored? Ah, does it mean that Chiharu no longer wants the toys? Then, Uncle can give them to someone else."

Chiharu was already defeated in the early round of battle with her uncle.

She stared at Kazuya in bafflement, not knowing how to answer.

Uncle's attack mode was too high ah Q^Q

He didn't even give her a chance to rebut!

So angry! But have to admit defeat!

As Chiharu thought of having her toys went to another child made her wanted to cry.

Kazuya laughed again. He reached out a hand and ruffled his niece's hair, "Be good. Tomorrow, we would go to the Children's Day festival in Teacher Kato's neighborhood. Didn't you say you want to see the big koi fishes fly in the sky? Uncle Shuichi also said he would bring the kois here this evening."

Himari said she would depart in the morning from her hometown. According to the schedule, she would arrive here around noon.

There was plenty of time for them to enjoy the lively Children's Day festival. Aside from the main koi-flying agenda, Himari said there would be games for the children. Both Izumi and Chiharu could join them.

"Yes! Let's go!"

Chiharu's pouty lips quickly turned into a bright smile. She eagerly looked at her uncle.

How could she forget about it?

"Uncle? What time? When would we go?" Chiharu hugged one of her uncle's legs and asked cutely.

Kazuya could only shake his head at how quickly she changed her mood.

"I have to ask Teacher Kato first. Alright, both of you should change your clothes. What do you want to have for lunch? Or do you want to nap first? Either one is fine."

Before Chiharu pestered him about confirming the time with Himari, Kazuya changed the subject. He led the two children upstairs. The suitcases were left downstairs since the laundry room was just right next to the kitchen.

"Chiharu wants omurice~ Uncle, can?"

"I want to take a nap first," Izumi blinked his eyes a few times, "I'm sleepy."

His sister couldn't say no to eating but, he was really sleepy right now. Izumi never found the bed inside his room more tempting than today.

"Okay, whatever you guys want," Kazuya agreed. He looked at Chiharu, "We do not have already cooked rice. It would take time if you want the omurice. Why don't I make something else for you?"

Chiharu blinked, thinking hard about letting go of her omurice. In the end, she nodded obediently.

"Uncle, make something delicious!"

That was the most important thing for her!

Omurice or not, the food had to be delicious!

Kazuya burst into laughter, "You glutton. Only know to eat delicious food."

"Food has to be delicious!" Chiharu stated it so firmly.

Caught in helplessness and amusement, Kazuya could only shake his head.

After ushering the children inside their own bedrooms, Kazuya headed to his. He changed his clothes, washed his face then threw his entire body on the soft mattress.

Thinking back on his conversation with Chiharu, Kazuya extended his hand to take his phone. He opened the LINE app and tapped on Himari's name.

[Kazuya: MoonBoyKnocking.jpg]

[Kazuya: You there?]

Looking at the sticker of the Moon Boy knocking on the door made Kazuya felt funny somehow. He didn't know when did it start but, he was accustomed to using the sticker whenever he wanted to start the conversation with Himari.

A few minutes later, he got a reply from her.

[Himari: FlowerField.jpg]

[Himari: Are they beautiful?]

And, she was used to sending him photos of her surroundings.

Like the canal, the fountain, the strawberries and now, the exquisite flower field that covered the ground beyond how far the eyes could see.

His eyes crinkled as he smiled.

[Kazuya: Beautiful. Looks so peaceful too]

[Kazuya: I wanna ask about tomorrow]

[Kazuya: You would arrive at noon, right?]

The tree branches outside the windows swayed as the breeze blew past them, spilling the sunlight in other directions into the room. In the few seconds it fell on Kazuya, he darted his eyes to the bright sky outside.

He hoped tomorrow would be a good day as well.

LINE~

Her replies came.

[Himari: Yes]

[Himari: When would you bring the children?]

[Himari: In the evening?]

The curved on his lips softened without him realizing it.

Kazuya quickly typed on the screen.

[Kazuya: How about this?]

[Kazuya: I would come to pick you up at the station]

[Kazuya: Then we can go together]

His eyebrows almost merged as Kazuya frowned when he read the messages again. He quickly added a few more messages.

[Kazuya: If you didn't want to, it's okay]

[Kazuya: We can meet later]

[Kazuya: I forgot that you might want to rest first]

Kazuya pushed his upper body up, sitting cross-legged on the bed. He wanted to scratch his head all of a sudden.

Would she think he was being too unnecessarily friendly?

He hoped she won't think like that.

LINE~

[Himari: Won't it trouble you?]

Kazuya's eyes brightened. Once again his fingers were quickly typing on the screen.

[Kazuya: No trouble at all]

[Kazuya: Your luggage must be too big or heavy, right?]

[Kazuya: With all the strawberries and the other things you'd bring back]

[Himari: PinkStrawberrySnickering.jpg]

[Himari: You're right]

[Himari: I haven't packed up but I already am afraid to see my luggage]

[Himari: OrangeCatFainting.jpg]

"Hehe."

A burst of soft laughter bubbled from him. Kazuya propped one elbow on his thigh, supporting his forehead with it while his other hand was still holding the phone.

[Kazuya: Let me be your chauffer tomorrow]

[Kazuya: And you can be my festival guide next]

Kazuya blinked, read his messages again and suddenly felt he was being too forward with her.

Was it?

Or, was it not?

But, this was just normal, right? He thought he had used to comfortably conversing with her even from before.

Kazuya shook his head, pushing the stray thoughts away.

[Himari: Consider it a deal]

[Himari: Saving me a hassle from calling for a cab]

Kazuya's smile deepened.

[Kazuya: Text me before you depart]

[Kazuya: And tell me the station too]

There were so many train stations in the city. Even though there was one nearby to the school district, it was not too unlikely for someone to go to another station.

[Himari: Aye aye, Sir]

[Himari: OrangeCatThankYou.jpg]

[Kazuya: I have to go now]

[Kazuya: A certain dumpling wants lunch. Have to prepare it before she mopes with me]

[Himari: Happy cooking~]

Kazuya read the reply once again before deciding to just end there or give her another one as the last reply.

After thinking, he went with the latter.

[Kazuya: MoonBoyOK.jpg]

With a brighter mood, he rose from the bed and walked to the door. His right hand was still holding the phone as he passed the hallway, heading downstairs to the kitchen.

Izumi might have already slept. As for Chiharu, the little dumpling hadn't shown up from her room yet. Kazuya didn't know what she was doing but it was better than having her urging him to cook quickly.

Kazuya laughed funnily.

With a spring in his steps, Kazuya entered the kitchen. He would just cook something simple since the ingredients had not been prepared yet.

Aunt Mayu was so efficient. She stocked up the fridge before the holidays came. Every inch of the fridge was filled with various kinds of foods and drinks.

As Kazuya was thinking about what should he make, his eyes fell on a pack of strawberries. His thought drifted to a certain someone. With a smile, he took the strawberries out of the fridge.

He remembered seeing a photo of strawberry pancake on Himari's LINE Timeline yesterday.

Well, strawberry pancakes for lunch, then.
