Ashes and Kingdoms

Chapter Three

Chapter Three

Often we go around the bushes, through the trees, and continue to follow the "path” of some or no.

"Stop."

Walt, who goes forward, controlled by hand and showed his footing with his gaze. Finn also drops his eyes and realizes that there is a thin wax stretched out there.

"A trap."

As Finn crumbled after the tip of the claw, Valt also nodded small before turning around the back titto.

"Don't scratch your tail, kid. Rabbit, say hello. They're gonna hang you upside down."

"Ugh, yeah, okay"

Tito answers often with black eyes. The way it's twitching in tension can't even be seen as loving without thinking about who it is. Walt looked like he'd noticed it now, and he looked funny.

"But what is it, kid? Even demons are cute, aren't they? I know you've seen meth, but it's hard to go through a normal guy literally getting a woman's body. Take advantage of this opportunity."

Finn only faces Valt, who said it himself and spread a slightly nasty laugh, and Tito's face puzzles him with a face he doesn't know what he was told. But as soon as he understood what it meant, the boy turned bright red while he saw it.

"- Mmm-hmm!

Finn blocked Tito's screaming mouth with his hands.

"Shh, don't make a scene. I know how you feel, you can hit or catch as much as you like later, so now enjoy.... I'm sorry, Valt has been such a bad adult for a long time."

Now Valt opened his mouth wide and swallowed the air in contemplation just before. I chip my tongue, I whisper very low, "you kids," or something, and I crush it to throw it away. Finn pretended he didn't hear it and ran his eyes in search of a safe path.

Remaining in disturbing air, the three go further bypassing the trap. Later, I heard a spiral. There is a water field, which means that the bandits are also close. It was clear that Finn didn't have to use the dragon's vision, and a line heard people's footsteps and talking.

Valt and Finn turn their eyes and instruct Tito to hide before lowering himself and proceeding to the shady legend of the tree. I saw a few digging huts in the open area by the creek. There are five or six men wandering around.

(Less)

Finn frowned. This won't mean everyone. Are you in the cabin, or are some of you out looking for prey somewhere?

From the side, Valt rested on his shoulder and showed a corner with a hand gesture. Away from the men who were moving around, a small figure sat alone on the marutai. Perhaps that's the demon that took over Tito's body.

And a man approached the boy. He talks about something as he follows. Another man from a remote location yelled with a hemp bag in his hands.

"Hey, what are you doing, hurry up! If we don't go after him soon, he won't make it if his head just finishes the job!

"I know. Ugh!

The man in front of the boy yells back. He says he knows, but he's not going to rush for support, and he's got his hands on it.

Neither does the boy's shadow respond to loud interactions nor to tingling. I'm just staring up at the man in front of me.

To the boy, a man gives in with a nasty face and says something again. The boy tilted his neck.

"Is that fun?

An unchanged high voice reaches Finn's ears as well. The man nodded and gestured like he was in a hurry. When the boy stood up according to it and wondered if it had moved by any chance, his pants fell to the ground with a claw.

"Whatever you want me to do, motherfucker."

It was Valt who struck me in the tongue. Finn also understood the man's purpose and bit his teeth too hard. Given the absence of women on this scene, the bandits won't come until they grab them, even if they assault merchants and farmers outside. A man who didn't get the chance must have thought about using the gaping hole nearby.

Not if you are watching for a long time. Finn quickly set the pace with Valt and ran out quietly with himself lowered.

While the inferior man tries to flaunt his hips, the two sneak up to Marutai's side.

Breathe in, Finn and Valt popped out at the same time. A man who had a hassle on his waiststring slightly opened his mouth. Finn's knife struck his neck faster than a scream emanated from it.

or haha, and he only exhales the noiseless air, and the man's body creeps out of his knees.

Valt, on the other hand, was quickly grabbing both arms of the boy, turning to his back side and holding him down. Because the contents are demons, I expected them to break out or escape. But surprisingly, the opponent was utterly irresistible. At the same time that the clapped out Valt loosened his hand, the man who had been preempted noticed the anomaly and shouted.

"What the heck!? Hey, that sucks, clean it up!!

As I say to my left and right companions, I drop the hemp bag that I had, too, and erect a hand axe that hung on my hips.

In an instant, all four bandits gathered and stormed for the intruder.

Stand so that Valt quickly hides Tito's body behind his back and pulls out his sword. Finn, too, lined up beside it, hesitated for a moment before paying off the sheath of the Divine Sword Diaion.

A blinking blade glimmer runs, dazzling the eyes of the bandits who have come towards them. Finn stepped out loud in that gap, trying to hook up his hand axe and bounce it off. Unexpectedly, a bandit chases the whereabouts of the object with his eyes, and the moment, the torso becomes empty. Finn's elbow punch went right in there.

"Grr!"

A man falls back with a damp scream. Without having to look at it, Finn swings the tip of the sword diagonally upwards in the continued motion. A man attacked from the side was slashed shallow in the arm, and shrieked and jumped away. On the clap holding the wound with his left hand, the force falls out of his right hand and the dagger plumps.

Chin, and at the same time the blade made a noise on the stone, the man who was about to pay for Finn's feet flipped properly, smashing his head and turning his eyes.

(All right, next)

With the usual calm, Finn searches for a third target. Valt is taking care of them well, and I saw a rookie rush from the other side.

Finn interrupts to slip from side to side, taking on one of Valt's enemies.

"One more coming"

With just one short word, Valt understood the situation. It changes because it was thoroughly defended until then, when it suddenly sticks from the shoulder to the bandit in the front, letting him hit his body, and blows it away.

In the time I earned, the rookie channeled down a stick, sticking a sword up his shoulder. It only turned out to be a shallow wound, but I immediately draw my sword, pay it aside and slash it on my face.

"Ahhh!!

The bandit, who tried to cover his eyes reflexively, glanced at him with his cheek amputated. I can't stand being hooked there. He falls sideways in a position he tried to protect himself from, and rolls away at all costs. That just hit the spot where the blown man tried to get up first and then fell down again.

Walt, who had cleared up his share for the first time, looked back at Finn, and, uh, raised his voice. The man who was crawling around holding his belly picked up his hand axe and stood up. Finn has not yet defeated the enemies he has taken from Valt.

Bad, and faster than Valt stepped out for cover, Finn threw the enemy in front of him forcefully to the side. On the empty front, a bandit with a hand axe penetrates.

"Shit! Die!!

The scream close to madness, however, was suddenly cut off by a bump. Literally, every neck.

The trajectory of a large, twisted divine sword emitted a slight light, spreading Zhu as it crossed its thin arc, and the man's neck flew through the universe - Bashan, and fell into the creek.

The remaining body falls at the same time, and its bloodbathed companions run away screaming and crawling.

Valt looked at it with dismay, but returned to me haha as Finn walked out silently. Running his gaze as to where he was going, he found a bunch of ropes dumped by the digging shed.

That or, convinced, he hurried to make sure the boy was safe. As always, the demon who looked like Tito doesn't run away or make a scene, he just looks at the universe blurry.

"Hey, don't move from there. And hide that poor leg from me."

Bitterly abandoned, Valt pursued Finn. I finally breathe in relief as I divide up and pick up the ropes.

"As always, you're so cold."

To Valt, who said painstakingly to remain calm, Finn answered with a complex face, perceiving the distress.

I don't know.

"I don't know, what the hell. I know it wasn't your skill that flew your neck, but the power of the sword. There's nothing to be afraid of."

Valt snorted. There seems to be a slight void, but it would only include that what I am saying is about my skill as a swordsman, not about a horrible spectacle.

Finn smiled bittersweetly for only a moment and dropped his eyes on his hand in a straight face.

"... I'm lost. The first time that guy came at me, I had an instinct that the truth was... that I had to kill him."

"Ah? What, you want to not have to kill me, or something sweet? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Valt says in a shuddering voice, tying up a bandit who has lost his will. Finn also restrained the man he threw down behind his back and sighed.

"It's not. I would have let him fly around my neck with the first blow if I had plucked Diaeon right out according to that feeling. Then I might have avoided the extra battle, but I didn't know if I could trust my instincts."

…………

Valt on the boulder also gets stuck in response. The two continued their work silently for a while. The bandits moaned about the pain, or poisoned it small, but did not call or rave. You must have realized that your buddy's neck flew through the universe like a toy and found him in a hell of a lot of ways.

Slightly, Valt kicked the tied bandit gently and put it together in one place, sighing a great deal. Put your hands on it, dust it off, and turn back to Finn.

"What I don't believe is proof that you're human. Don't get sick."

The tone was like throwing it out unconstitutionally, but the knobs were sincere. Finn stands up struck by unexpected thoughts. Did it stink in his gaze, Valt turned away with his shoulders clasped to deceive, "To it," he said, looking down at the burglar rolling at his feet.

"I knew the right answer from the beginning, and it was common for me to go out of my way to the wrong person"

"... oh yeah"

Finn snapped and nodded small.

Sleepy silence falls. But as if I had waited for it, I heard the noise of stepping apart from the gutter and the grass,

"Wow -!?"

A bare scream echoed.

When Finn and Valt look back a little, at Marutai's, a little demon is clinging to the boy's leg and jumping desperately trying to pull his pants up.

"What are you doing?!! Come on, come on, wow!

Tito is struggling badly to hide his lower body as he screams like he's going to cry. It's like there's no need to make that much noise because it's just a guy around, and that's a situation I've forgotten about him already, but he still can't reopen like that at his age.

Finn looked at Valt and disappointed. Tito notices visibly the bad things in between and gets a voice of condemnation.

"Don't laugh! Oh, my God... are you crazy to see me like this!

Finn quickly turns off his grin and apologizes for the sound of the scratches. When you think about it, it's not funny, a helpless boy was about to be offended. Fortunately Tito himself has seen his crisis, but it has not changed the humiliating situation. Valt came to think of it, and apologized even though he looked snotty.

In the meantime, it seems that the demon finally understood what the original body owner was demanding. As usual, with no expression, I pulled up my pants and tied my hips. Since then, it has also been vague without any action being taken. Finn frowned suspiciously.

"What are you?

I asked, but the demon who took over Tito's body only blinked a few times.

(Finn) Lena speaks unexpectedly. Maybe the demons don't have a name. I don't need a definition of who I am.

"We don't need a definition..." Oh, well, because existence itself is ambiguous. "

I don't think she knows who she is or what she wants to do. That doesn't make sense to them. So, don't be harsh on him?

For a nasty favor, Finn spills a slight smile. Valt gave me a creepy looking eye, so he hurried to cough it up and fix it.

"Whatever it takes... its body is supposed to belong to Tito. It's in your body now, it's human. You know that, right?

When Finn spoke carefully, the demon nodded Kokon. There are no words. Valt sits quietly and reaches out again to the sword he has put away once. I guess I saw Tito with a noisy eye - the body of the demon because I thought about using it as a shield to threaten him. Finn continued staring at the emotionless boy's eyes as he shook his head slightly and controlled.

"Can you give it back to me?"

"Yeah."

Lightly enough to clap out, the demon shook his head vertically. And he looked down at his original body and said with a slight lean neck.

"Not really, it wasn't fun. So, give it back."

For a moment, the boy's body swayed. As if it were really a shadow on the water, someone threw a pebble in there.

After one blink, the phenomenon disappeared and the boy's body actually collapsed. And then he steps on, nearly stumbles on the demonic body at risk, and manages to regain his posture. The behavior, the look on his eyes for a while to his surprise, is clearly different from what it was before.

Tito, or Finn tried to make sure, but he screamed quicker.

"Blink, I want!

Shouting in a tongueless young voice, the demon used his tail to jump one big and jump into the bushes beyond Marutai.

"Oh, wait!!

Valt yells reflexively and tries to chase him. Finn stopped it and hurried to put a cover of consciousness on his own light. When he ascertained that the leaves of the bush still swayed and appeared blurred as slightly misty, he spoke quietly.

"How did you do this? You shouldn't be too human."

"... I thought it would be fun. The human, because he says it's boring. When I played, I thought it would be fun. But I don't need it anymore."

The face of Tito is distorted, abandoned as unmade, unnecessary. Of course, there was no reason for the demon to cling to it, and the bushes swayed loudly once and the light footsteps went away.

"Hey, can I let you get away with this?"

Valt pokes the fin small and does the tannic surface. Finn responded with a glance at his shoulder.

"If you've been dealing with the beast of darkness, you know you can't push human reason on such creatures."

"Well, yeah, but aren't we gonna do the same thing again?

"I found it boring to try being human, so I won't do it anymore. Besides, we don't have to go to the forest border at dusk. Or... unless you have a stray to get into."

Say it, Finn, look at Tito. The boy was biting his lips and nagging.

"Me......"

Towards the ground, he spits humiliation to squeeze it out.

"It's all this every day, boring and tired, I thought, I thought...! So I can't believe you don't need me for 'not needing'..."

"Oh, that's not true."

Valt affirmed, snuggling the boy's thin back.

"Your father was totally bleeding on his head, and your mother was worried about you with half a cry. You'll be quite rubbed when you get home, so be prepared."

"Eh."

Tito leaks a weird groan as he is pounded by surprise. Finn and Valt lost their laughter, and now Tito didn't tell them not to laugh either, but moaned with pity.

"Oh, shit... I stole pigs with that demon, the bandit, not me... Oh, you know, you're coming with me, right? You're gonna explain it right, it wasn't me."

Nah, nah, I'm desperate to snort. Valt is mean and nimble, while he leaves his words to the left and right and doesn't commit.

Finn looked at the two twitches with a bitter smile, but he remembered in Tito's words and clouded his face.

(Speaking of which, if you don't chase him soon, you said something like that. The main force, including the head, is in "work")

No way.

I had a bad feeling Finn approached one of the bandits he tied up, "Hey," he grabbed his collar and made him look up.

"Where did your heads go? You must have gone to attack the prey, where?"

"Hih..."

Bandits squeal their throats and twinkle driven by fear. My busy moving eyes searching for an escape attracted me to Tito's appearance and stopped. That's the answer.

"A village."

tongue, Finn ramblingly drops the bandit to the ground. Turning back, Valt turned true and Tito was blue.

"Village... not a livestock shed, or something...? But, you know, until now."

Bloody lost lips twitch, and a fine voice spins fear. Finn looked around and became even more daunting.

Due to the number and size of the digging cabins, there are twenty to thirty people who are screwing around here, even if they are quoted less. If it were to leave just five people behind and attack them in total, it wouldn't be about a cheap stealing chase.

Perhaps he was relieved to live with the demons for a while and to be able to hide in the fog that would confuse his pursuers if he went back to the woods no matter how much he did outside, and went into bold action.

Finn immediately consolidated his resolve and said to Valt.

"I'm going back to the village. You keep an eye on the people you capture here."

"Nah."

Valt opened his mouth to refuse, but let the words cut off like a stone stuck in his throat. Rubbing between the eyebrows and reticence as he bites off his back teeth often. The voices that came out were full of bitterness.

"If you crush your head, you'll scatter it."

"Maybe. I can't do it alone. But if I clean up some people, it'll work"

To the calmly anticipated Finn, Valt nevertheless looks suspicious. Finn lightly touched the pattern of the sword to show it, and nodded as small as he did against himself and said.

"I won't get lost next time, I'll be fine"

The quiet proclamation sounded heavier than I thought, and I could see Valt frightening. Finn coughs and deceives and continues pretending to be nothing.

"There are hands that blind you with light, and even villagers should be able to deal with it after you let them lose their will to fight. Still, maybe some of them will get away with it, so I'll ask you about it."

Valt had heard it with a bitter face on top of this, but it is clear that there is no objection. Tongue-in-cheek and kick the ground.

"Ah, I'm annoyed! Why didn't you bring the whole platoon, you son of a bitch! There's only two of us. Well, there's nothing we can do. Does that mean there will be more of Dragon Hou's martial arts tradition again, ahhh!!

It was there that he was angry, or before Finn was frightened, that Valt shook his hands up and raised a slightly unintelligible cry. So did you feel a little better, he said in his usual tone when he lowered his hand.

"What the fuck are you doing, go! If a thief enters the village, it's too late!

Copy that.

No way, he turns the tension away, and Finn gives a careless salute with a strange look. Shortly afterwards, the light swirled on the spot and the white glow spread its wings.

"Whew!?

When Tito raised his shout of amazement, there was already no white light or figure of Finn, only the grassy plaque stirred by the wind was left behind.
