Azeroth Monster Manual

It was 9 a.m. Kima, his hands covered in blood, walked out of Camp 33 with satisfaction, followed closely by a group of obsequious stewards and overseers.
Just now, during a routine inspection, Kima discovered a slave revolt in Camp 33. Although the small-scale revolt had been suppressed by the camp's stewards, the slaves' emotions were extremely unstable. Naturally, Kima wouldn't allow such instability to take root, so he took it upon himself to 'teach a lesson' to the stewards and overseers.
Taking the handkerchief offered by a steward, he wiped the bloodstains from his body while saying to the steward:
"Don't show mercy when you encounter such situations in the future. If you catch the ringleaders, beat them to death."
Looking down at the trembling steward, a bloodthirsty smile appeared on Kima's lips.
"Do you know what to do next time?"
"I… I know."
The steward said tremblingly, but before he could finish speaking, a size sixty foot kicked him. The steward staggered and fell to the ground, but before he could get up, Kima stepped on his chest.
"Idiot! I don't want a yes-man! I want a cadre who can think independently and stand alone. If there's a next time, you know what the result will be!"
Grabbing the steward's collar, Kima leaned close to his ear, the cold light flashing in his single eye. He whispered:
"I'll only say this once. In the future, when you encounter such troublemakers, not only should you drag them in front of all the slaves and beat them, but you must also remember one thing: never enrage all the slaves, never! In private, you should win over the majority of obedient ones and crack down on the very few who are beyond control! This way, the slaves' rebellious emotions will be reduced to a minimum, and such childish riots will no longer occur. Got it?"
Releasing the steward, who was nodding like a pecking chicken, Kima's originally icy face suddenly softened, and a hint of a smile hung on his lips.
Walking to the group of overseers who were bowing their heads in silence, Kima patted each of them on the shoulder, encouraging them one by one, uttering words like 'Work hard,' 'The future is promising,' and 'Brother will find you a wife in the future' as if they were free.
But the effect of the appeasement was obvious. After eating the pie Kima had drawn, these overseers, who were originally in low spirits and full of fear, became as excited as if they had been injected with chicken blood.
After appeasing the overseers, Kima came to the steward again, took out three beautiful tickets with gold and red lace, and stuffed them into the hands of the timid-looking steward.
"Take your wife and children to the Grand Theater to see it during this week's rest day. This is a good thing newly developed by Lord Ayr. What's it called? Ah, yes, it's called a movie.
Also, don't be like a woman and make me look down on you! You can't be careless about work, but we're still friends in private."
Pulling up the steward who was kneeling on the ground, Kima laughed heartily and brushed the dust off his body.
After a long while, the steward watched Kima gradually walk away, and then looked at the three tickets in his hand that read 'Employees' Grand Theater,' and suddenly burst into tears.
"Lord Kima…"
The other overseers all looked enviously at the tickets in the steward's hand and began to whisper to each other.
"Lord Kima is really a good person. He just gave away these three movie tickets!"
"Who says otherwise? These are movie tickets worth 5 gold coins each, which can top half a year's 'salary'!"
"Alas, the steward is really lucky. I just don't know when I'll be able to be promoted to a second-class citizen…"
The steward, who was standing still in place, was immersed in emotion and unable to extricate himself, when he was interrupted by the gossip coming from behind, which made him instantly become furious.
"You don't need to work, do you! I think you bastards are living too comfortably. Get back to work! If I find out that there's a problem in anyone's area, I'll take off his head and use it as a ball!"
After being reprimanded by the steward for no reason, the overseers no longer lingered and all slipped back to the camp to continue their work.
But unlike before, the work enthusiasm of these overseers, who were originally slacking off, actually became high.
Looking at the shining movie tickets in his hand, the steward's tears flowed again.
"Lord Kima, I will definitely live up to your expectations and become your right-hand man, and re-establish our new clan."
11:30 a.m., Kima walked out of the camp again. This was the 50th camp he had inspected, and also the last one.
He stretched wearily, rummaged through his empty pockets, and revealed a smug smile.
"All 100 movie tickets have been sent out, but these bumpkins are really too easy to fool. They're so moved by these things that should have belonged to them in the first place."
Kima laughed wildly, but as time passed, the smile on his face gradually solidified, and large beads of sweat actually slid down his originally radiant face.
"Lord Ayr clearly knows that these internal movie tickets are free, but he handed them over to me without asking. Does… does… does he already know what I'm going to do with these movie tickets? Hiss…"
The more Kima thought about it, the more frightened he became, and the more he felt that the young man had already seen through everything.
From the very beginning of the establishment of the camp, to Ayr entrusting Kima with the important task of supervising the camp, at first Kima only felt that Ayr hadn't deceived him and had really made him an uncrowned king, and his mentality swelled day by day as time passed.
But the movie ticket incident was like a loud bell, instantly waking Kima's dream and extinguishing that restless heart.
Dejectedly sitting on a large rock, at this moment Kima finally re-recognized his insignificance.
His petty plans were like children playing house, all seen by the young man, but he said nothing and did nothing.
But he thought that his wisdom was already comparable to, or even surpassed, his, and sometimes he even swelled to the point of really thinking that he had become the king of Hinterlands, the only king.
"Alas…"
Taking a deep breath, the troll stood up with a look of frustration. Compared to the frustration in his heart, the physical exhaustion seemed to be nothing.
Kima walked into the employee cafeteria like a walking corpse, not even hearing the greetings from the people beside him.
After eating a tasteless lunch, Kima finally recovered from that sense of frustration.
"A puppet king is still a king, better than those slaves who can't even get enough to eat."
…
After lunch, Kima became the smooth and slippery jack-of-all-trades again.
But his mentality had undergone earth-shattering changes, and the rebellious heart buried in his bones was completely extinguished.
…
Ayr's Light Garrison, Mage Tower, 16th floor.
In the lush, verdant proving ground, reminiscent of an ancient forest, Aier and his group were gathered around a giant, crimson egg, gesturing and discussing something.
Ansellam, Elan, and Kael'thas each held notebooks, rapidly recording information and occasionally exchanging experiences.
Romans and Kael'thas each held strange instruments, circling the giant egg and constantly testing data.
After a long while, a sweat-drenched Kael'thas and Romans took deep breaths and said in unison.
"Teacher, there are no problems. The data from this test is completely normal."
"Experiment Name: Loa Reconstruction Project, Experiment 133, Commence!"
At Aier's command, everyone put down their work and gathered around the giant egg, extending their hands.
"Begin!"
In an instant, intense magical fluctuations spread, and thick, black veins began to appear on the crimson giant egg.
"Pay attention to your own mana input. Everyone, prepare for the first synchronization."
Noticing the giant egg beginning to tremble, Aier decisively shouted loudly. The others also noticed the significant anomaly, and the trio with the least experience were already breaking out in cold sweats.
"Synchronization, Begin!"
"Buzz..."
A chain of azure blue appeared out of nowhere, first encircling Aier's chest, then Kael'thas, Romans... until all five were bound together by the chain.
This work is organized and uploaded by ~ ~
The previously chaotic mana fluctuations also calmed down the instant the chain bound everyone together.
"Very good, minimum frequency input."
Seeing the giant egg gradually stop trembling, the trio breathed a sigh of relief.
Five minutes later, Aier's voice rang out once more.
"Switch from low frequency input to medium frequency input, prepare for the second energy synchronization!"
...
Again and again with synchronization, everyone's mana input became increasingly vast, until with a loud 'Bang!' the giant egg, which had seemed perfectly normal, exploded like a rotten tomato in the midst of everyone's regretful gazes.
"Record."
Hearing Aier's words, the sweat-drenched trio hurriedly pulled out their notebooks, scrambling to record everything.
Aier's expression didn't change at all, but the observant Kael'thas still noticed the subtle twitch in the young man's brow.
"Teacher..."
Kael'thas wanted to say something, but Aier waved his hand to interrupt.
"Don't waste time. You and Romans, check to see what went wrong."
After speaking, Aier squatted on the ground, picking through the remains of the giant egg, finding a golden crystal and examining it carefully.
Half a month ago, Aier used meticulous planning and traps to kill the once-unrivaled Hakkar Avatar, obtaining relatively intact 'experimental material.' Compared to Hiss (the three-headed serpent of the Dark Abyss) who possessed Aku'mai, and Shadra, a pure energy body, Hakkar's avatar was undoubtedly more valuable for research.
Over the past half-month, Aier had already extracted the essence of Hiss's (Aku'mai's) pseudo-divine flesh and blood. Regrettably, he didn't detect anything of value other than the essence of flesh and blood within that avatar.
Although somewhat disappointed, the hundreds of tons of divine (pseudo) flesh and blood were already Hiss's most valuable legacy.
Next was Hakkar's avatar. Aier, along with Kael'thas and the others, discovered after half a month of research that Hakkar's situation was no different from Hiss's. The only difference was that this avatar had much more essence of flesh and blood than Hiss's avatar.
Just when the group was about to give up, the attentive Aier found a golden crystal in Hakkar's head.
After some exploration, Aier discovered that the consciousness within this golden crystal had already been extinguished, and in a chance experiment, Aier made a new discovery.
As long as energy was output to this golden crystal, the crystal would undergo a miraculous change.
With the injection of energy, the golden crystal would become increasingly full. After reaching a critical point, the crystal's exterior would gradually form a membrane of flesh and blood, until it became a giant red egg exactly like Hakkar's egg.
Aier boldly speculated that this golden crystal was the key to "reviving" Hakkar, and also the key for himself to unravel all the secrets of the Blood God Loa!
And so, under the group's tireless research day and night, black blood vessels finally formed on the outside of the giant egg, but the results of the experiment stopped there, with no further progress.
...
"Teacher..."
Kael'thas stood behind Aier, hesitant to speak.
"Are there results?"
The young man stood up, holding the golden crystal, and met the prince's serious gaze.
Prince Kael'thas shook his head helplessly, his eyes full of disappointment. Romans, standing to the side, also looked dejected.
"Sorry, Teacher, we've been holding you back. If we could enter the Legendary realm, perhaps the number of synchronizations wouldn't need to be..."
Elan and the other two came to Aier's side with guilty expressions, saying dejectedly.
"It's not a problem with synchronization. I always feel like something is missing, what exactly is it?"
Interrupting the self-blame of the three, Aier pondered, until the communication stone in his arms began to heat up.
"Lord Aier, is that Lord Aier?"
A shrill voice rang out, and everyone surrounding Aier frowned. Someone dared to disturb Teacher at this crucial moment, which made them very angry.
"It's me."
In contrast, Aier was very calm. Years of research life had cultivated a state of mind where he was neither honored nor humiliated, and even if he failed more than 130 times, it wouldn't shake him in the slightest.
"That's great, finally got in touch with you. Haven't seen you in so many days, I miss you so much? Have you eaten? How have you been lately? I've lost several pounds since I haven't seen you, blah blah blah..."
Aier, who was neither honored nor humiliated: ...Where's my knife?
PS: First of all, I want to apologize to the lords who are still following the update faithfully.
Because of the author's work, it's not early when I get home, plus some unexpected factors (overtime social events, etc...) So the update has been relatively poor recently, several times I didn't get home until around 11 o'clock, and I had to get up at 7 o'clock the next day. In order to get full attendance, the author can only copy the original chapter to make up the minimum number of words for the minimum guarantee, and then wait for the next day when I have time to modify it. This has formed a vicious circle, but the author does not dare to sacrifice rest time to code, after all, I am older and my body cannot bear it.
The next chapter is probably not time to code, I can only copy it first, and then modify it tomorrow. After coding this chapter, it is about 11:30, but fortunately tomorrow is Friday, I can code with peace of mind after get off work, it doesn't matter if I stay up late, if there are no social activities on Saturday and Sunday, it should be more.
Finally, I sincerely apologize to the lords again.
