After an embarrassing introduction, they were happily eating their meals. After dinner, Nathan drove Tina home first.

At the MC Garden

Mandy and Nathan got out of the car to see Fiona off.

"Nana, everything that happened today will be our secret, okay?" Mandy said, grabbing Fiona's arm. Mandy was very serious.

"I know, sister. You don't have to worry. I won't tell anyone about this," Fiona promised and stuck her tongue out.

Mandy sighed with relief. She knew that Fiona's promise was sincere, judging by her innocent eyes. Then she asked Fiona, "So, what's your condition? I will do absolutely anything I can."

"All I want is for you to visit us whenever you're free. And buy me a bag of snacks when you do," Fiona joked. Her condition was so simple. At the most, she demanded an extra bag of snacks.

"Okay. I'll have dinner at home whenever I'm free," Mandy promised. She felt sad that she hadn't visit home for almost half a month already.

"Okay! It's a deal! I'll go now. Bye, Nathan and Mandy!" Fiona said as she waved them goodbye.

"Bye," Nathan and Mandy said together.

In the darkness of the night, Mandy and Nathan's fingers were intertwined with each other. Nathan held her hands so tightly that he felt her warmth being passed on to him and straight to his heart.

The next morning, Nathan drove Mandy to work as usual.

They arrived at the hospital during the morning rush hour. The streets were filled with cars and pedestrians.

"Bye, Nathan!" Mandy said with a smile.

"Oh?" Nathan blurted out with a calm voice. He pouted, indicating that he wanted Mandy to kiss him before leaving.

Mandy took off her seat belt and turned to Nathan. She gave Nathan a kiss.

When their lips touched, Nathan gave Mandy a French kiss. He didn't let go of her until she was almost late for work.

records and left.

Mandy was rolling her eyes. She didn't have the time to argue with Eve. There were still a lot of patients lined up to see her.

When noon came, Jayleen came to see Mandy. She was holding some medical records in her hand.

When Jayleen came, Mandy had just taken her white coat off and was about to get ready to meet Eve at the Italian restaurant.

"Shall we have lunch together, Mandy?" Jayleen asked with a meek smile.

"I'm afraid not. I have an appointment at noon," Mandy answered, rubbing her forehead in frustration.

"Oh, okay. Here is the medical record. The patient was already sent in today. He's a relative of the mayor. He has requested that you perform the surgery," Jayleen quietly said.

There was a rule in the hospital that only special patients had the right to choose their doctors.

"Okay. Put the file on my desk. I'll check it later," Mandy said. Whenever a doctor was requested by a patient, it usually meant that the patient identifies with that doctor. That made Mandy happy.

"But Mandy, I suggest that you don't do the surgery. His condition is really bad. Even if he had the surgery, he won't live long. And if the surgery fails, you'll be in trouble!" Jayleen warned as she worried about Mandy.
