Billionaire's Gift

Mandy's gaze darkened. After a few minutes, she tore the "Seven Princess Dream" manuscript into pieces. These days, it was as if she was a walking corpse. Her anger was buried deep inside her soul, so she needed to find a way to vent it all out.

The pieces of the score fell down from her hands in such a disorderly manner, like snow falling to the carpet. Nathan clenched his fists, refusing to look her in the eye. He couldn't even protect his woman and his child. Now, no matter what she did, he couldn't even blame her. Even if she turned and stabbed him in his chest, he would not resist or even say a word.

Nathan had no one to blame but himself for loving her too late. He didn't realize his true feelings for her until things were already settled. He deserved to lose that child, but he didn't want to lose Mandy as well.

He crouched down at the ripped pieces of the manuscripts that he and Mandy had created. Slowly, his slender fingers trailed across the crumpled paper, picking them up with ease.

It was the song that once represented their deep love and compassion for one another, and now it was scattered all over the floor.

Mandy stared coldly at the man trying to pick up the pieces before striding off.

That afternoon, the doorbell of the villa rang, signaling that a guest had arrived.

Mandy didn't even bother to listen or even wonder who was at the door. She knew that Nathan wouldn't let her out anyway.

Lillian opened the door. A handsome man grinned brightly as he stepped into the villa.

"Mand," he said, waving a paper bag in his hand.

After being silent for more than a month, Mandy finally opened her mouth and greeted him, "Hi, Colin."

He approached her as if she were a ticking time bomb. "Look what I've brought to you," he said. Although his voice was still cold and indifferent, his heart was filled with gre

en he grabbed his arm.

"How is she?" Nathan asked.

"Isn't she your wife? You're supposed to know her better than I do," Colin said scornfully and removed the man's grip from him.

"She hasn't spoken to me for more than a month." Nathan avoided his gaze.

Colin wanted to laugh at the man in front of him. 'Nathan, you ass, you deserve it. It's only when you lost her that you realized what she meant to you. It simply proves that secrets have the power to destroy even the deepest of love.'

Although he sympathized for the love lost between them, he had no sympathy for Nathan. Colin loved Mandy to the point that he would want to marry her if she was sure of getting the divorce. His love for her was as pure as day. He wouldn't force her to choose him if she didn't want to.

"I remember you'd 'promised' that you'd love her whole-heartedly, and even death couldn't separate the two of you," he said, scoffing in disdain. Colin couldn't help but find the oath ridiculous.

"It's not for you to judge my love for her," Nathan snapped.

"Whatever." Colin waved his hand. "I'm giving you one last piece of advice. Be good to her, because she still loves you." Although he didn't want to admit it at first, that was the truth.
