"Dad, the door is open. Let's go inside!" Lisa clapped her hands excitedly.

Colin turned around and glanced at Mandy. "Mand, are you tired? You look like you need to get some rest."

Colin knew for a fact that Mandy couldn't stand the hot weather. In fact, if it was usually during the summer, she'd get heat stroke. He had asked her to take her medicine before she came here.

"Do you really think I'm that weak? We haven't even gone out yet," Mandy said, stretching out to take her handbag. When she realized that her bag was around Colin's neck, she smiled.

Colin has a habit of taking pictures wherever he went. In the past two years, he had taken thousands of family photos. The hard drive in Mandy's computer was filled with their pictures.

"Daddy, why is the neck of the giraffe so long?" Lisa asked sweetly, holding his hand.

"Because its daddy and mommy also have long necks," Colin answered, ruffling her hair. He didn't really know the answer to the question, so his answer was a shot in the dark. However, Lisa seemed convinced it was right. She laughed.

"Well then, I'm very beautiful since mommy's pretty and you're handsome," she pointed out.

He chuckled, squinting under the sunlight. "That's right, sweetheart. Do you want me to get you some ice cream?"

"I like chocolate. Mom likes tea, and you like vanilla," Lisa blurted out. Due to her excellent memory and observation skills, Lisa had all their likes and dislikes memorized by heart.

"It's nice that you remembered. Do you like anything else?" he asked softly.

"I don't know. I'll just go with you, Dad." Lisa looked up at him.

'Is he rolling his eyes at me? The kid's obviously inherited Nathan's rudeness. When he grows up, he'll be even ruder!' she thought.

A part of her wondered if it was because of Colin's words that something had triggered her dislike for Adrian. She gritted her teeth.

Right on time, Colin came back with Lisa, holding a large bag of snacks in his hand.

It was a hot summer day, and the ice creams were about to melt. Lisa ran up to Mandy with a smile. "Mom, here's your ice cream!"

The coldness in Mandy's eyes disappeared in an instant as she knelt down to touch Lisa's head. Adrian's eyes widened momentarily at the sudden change.

"Mr. Jin, what a surprise! Where's your son's mother?" Colin greeted.

Mandy almost choked after hearing Colin's words. She didn't realize that he could be this vindictive. A smile curved onto her lips.

"Thank you for your concern, Colin." Nathan's face turned gloomy in an instant. "His mother should be back after her trip."
