Billionaire's Gift
Chapter 849 Joking In The Car
After keeping silent for a few seconds, Mandy smiled and said, "I know you've already let go of her, but... Why didn't you let go of me?"
Nathan turned his head slightly and glanced at her. He saw that Mandy was looking at him seriously with her head tilted to one side.
"Because you are different from other women," Nathan answered directly.
"Different how? Because of my appearance or my personality?" Mandy asked curiously. She wanted to know what made Nathan wait for her for three years. In fact, she had waited, too, but she did not see any hope at that time.
"I like both your appearance and your personality," Nathan replied seriously, squinting his eyes.
Money and desire seemed to have always been intertwined together. It was not easy for Nathan to find someone who was truly in love with him. As a man in a high social position, he knew what he wanted at an early age. Since he had learned to understand love, he had decided that he wanted to find a woman who was with him for him, not his money.
It just so happened that his college life was boring. Nathan liked playing games, and he really liked the gaming world because he did not know whether the person controlling the avatar was a beautiful or ugly woman or even a man. The gaming world was illusory and full of mystery, and he found it thrilling.
Nathan met and got to know Sharon in one of the games he played. He loved her. She was his first love. He was her first love as well. Although they were not seeing each other face to face, the time they spent playing together was wonderful for Nathan. When Nathan decided to see Sharon in person, he had really fallen in love with her.
When they met each other, they both felt as if they were old friends. Compared to her photo, Sharon was even more beautiful and delicate in person, which delighted Nathan. His only regret was that he had not told her his true identity. He had planned to tell her after her col
Nathan replied with a smile.
Mandy pursed her lips but said nothing. She was speechless because what Nathan said did make sense.
On the way, they kept joking with each other. Now, Mandy was in a much better mood than before. She knew that Nathan was constantly finding a topic to chat about so as to make her happy. She was so glad to have him here.
Unlike them, Shawn and Elizabeth were not as happy.
Shawn was trying his best to suppress his grievance. "Honey, why are you so nosy?" he asked through gritted teeth.
A sly smile appeared on Elizabeth's face. "Why do you say that?" she asked.
"We agreed to travel around the world together. You shouldn't have come here." Shawn held the steering wheel with one hand. In fact, he still held a grudge against the decision to come to City A. He would not have minded if Elizabeth had come to save only one life, but now it was not as simple as saving a life.
"Why shouldn't I have come? Mandy was my favorite student. She's in trouble now, so I should help her." Elizabeth lowered her eyes and stared at the ring glistening on her hand. The ring on the fourth finger of her right hand had been there for more than twenty years. She had not taken it off even when she went to bed or took a bath. She took her wedding ring seriously.
