Ethon did not expect such an accident to happen to Fiona. They lost their first child, and according to the doctor, it was a boy.

He was too heartbroken to say a word. A lump formed in his throat that threatened to wring tears out of his eyes. He swallowed, bit his lower lip, and squeezed Fiona's hand.

"Nana, listen to me. Our baby is gone, but please trust me. We will try again. We will have many children in the future, okay?" Looking at the desperation in Fiona's eyes, Ethon knew that he had to tell her the truth now. If he did not, she would go crazy.

Fiona's beautiful eyes had already misted over. A spark of resistance and despair flashed through her eyes, and she felt like her heart was being split open with an ax.

Ethon looked at Fiona, who was now curled up on the bed. Her hair was a mess, and she was wearing a thin, light blue hospital gown. She looked so fragile as if the slightest touch could make her fall apart. Ethon's heart ached. He reached out and tightly held the devastated Fiona.
