Blinking, Lisa asked innocently, "Aunt Morry, may I please have a video chat with my dad tonight?"

"Sure, you can."

"Okay, will you also take me to see mom?" Lisa grabbed Morry's middle finger and shook her hand affectionately.

A bit of guilt crept into Morry's heart when she heard the question. She had promised to take Lisa to meet Mandy long before that time, but she had been too busy with work and kept pushing the date forward. After some time, she completely forgot about it and never mentioned it again.

Morry considered the request. On the one hand, she wasn't inclined to let Lisa go to see Mandy. Since she and the child had gotten better after they spent quality time together, she wanted to keep it that way. Morry was interested in replacing Mandy in Lisa's heart, but that had proven quite difficult.

She knew that even if Lisa didn't say anything about Mandy, it didn't mean that Lisa had forgotten Mandy. In the girl's heart, Mandy would always be her mother. She and Colin were divorced, but Lisa sti

hed out a hand to playfully pinch Lisa's face.

Leaning against Mandy, Lisa laughed. With her chubby little arms wrapped around her mother's neck, she answered, "Yes, Mom. Aunt Morry is very kind to me. She even took me to the buffet and the underwater world to play. Yesterday, she cooked delicious steak for me."

Mandy took another grateful look at Morry. "Thank you for taking care of my daughter."

"It's the least I could do. You don't have to thank me for this," Morry replied, following Mandy into the ward.

When they got inside, Morry stopped short. There was a nanny inside with Nathan, Ethon, and Fiona. Fiona was asleep on the bed. It was cold and strangely quiet.
